The list is also very strange because they have showcased a lot of England and Australian fielders and left out so many great catches from Indian subcontinent then to make it even worse they put a very average catch by an Indian player at number one, may be to balance things out.
They are ranked based on ranking by fan votes, all catches are in England and Wales, only one catch taken by Indian made the list and our huge population made him win😏

The England cricket team fans are known as, “The Barmy Army”. There no rude chanting, in the crowd at least, just a few little dances when the team scores and holding up banners, etc., but there’s a tradition of dressing up in costumes with your mates, drinking beer and everything stops for tea and sandwiches at 4pm. Stopping for tea is a tradition that spreads to small villages, although younger people don’t play so much village cricket nowadays. There’s loads of different types of cricket now. The traditional international lasts for up to five days - the teams wear white. Now there’s one day cricket where the teams wear ‘pyjamas’ - different colours for each country.

If she makes international level she has to choose who to play for if both Australia and England pick her!! She is as English as they come , but Dad says she is like Shane Warne! We really do get some fun out of it all.
The thing that adds to the difficulty of diving catches is that generally your elbows are going to hit the ground hard when you land and the ball can just fly out of your hand without a glove/mitt to hold on to it.
The fielder with the gloves is the wicket-keeper. It's like your baseball catcher and he/she is the only fielder permitted to wear gloves. The keeper needs some protection because he has to take the catches, anything the batsmen miss, and a most of the throws in the from the other fielders; it's a lot of wear and tear on the hands from a very hard ball.
