It paints a picture that he's let go of his own rage if only for this encounter; using his own power and not the cursed determination he committed for. In that final confrontation, I also like to imagine that doing this would somehow alleviate some of his own sins by helping another conquer their own hell. And before y’all pester me bout the check stats and especially Dusts ATK and def, this is, like, dust as soon as he exits ruins basically, so he wouldn’t have much hp. Maybe atk10 and def15.
