Something I personally really enjoy that usually isn't explored much is hybrid standby decks, aka running only 1 standby climax. I'm not sure why exactly but while a lot of 8 standby decks feel sorta similar my experience with hybrid standby decks is very varied and almost always has some unique gameplay desicions I need to do that I really enjoy. To the point where when someone complains about standbys I tell them "Here's my fix, every set can only get 1 standby lol"
Many of the first standby decks in English were hybrid standby decks! I really enjoyed the 4 standby 4 pants SAO deck that became possible with ordinal scale in SAO, and I do miss it sometimes!
I love this channel! It helped me get into playing Weiss Schwarz! Now my girlfriend is getting into it and picked up a Cardcaptor Sakura trial deck with a sleeve and deck box kit packed in with some boosters! We love Weiss!!
That was a great teaching video! Only thing I saw was the description on the Mikey finisher is wrong its Top of the Deck not Bottom of the Deck and its combined Power not Level and you also need to reveal a copy of himself. But other than that very good video.
I'm also a standby-fan. Ist very different and brings new deck archetypes to the table. But standby decks themselves don't vary a whole lot. The just get better. Better filters, more power, actual combos on your standby targets, more standby triggers, ... I think it's time to stop. Standby had and very much still has it's time in the sun (in English at least). I think bushi should implement the restrictions for Mushoku and Quints the did in Japan and stop printing meta-defining 8 standby decks for a while. I think those two decks are about as good as shandby can and SHOULD be.

@@ThreeSixCancel rn I'm really enjoying pants/standby kaguya with the td combo and fireworks and the "wife and baby" hololive deck (luna/nene)

I have a question about standby and change
could I standby and play a character that have change from my waiting room then use the change effect?

So just keep crashing to standby and race them to 4.
Always struggled with standby.
Is there a reason why this video is structured so strangely?
I hate standby, I think it ruined Weiss :(
Interesting opinion. Standby is very strong, to be honest, but weiss is still a very fun game. I personally can't stand, standby, but it's whatever.
It's good against decks that are not prepared for it. Just playing an older deck into standby without any adjustments feels bad.
