I just wanted say that your gameplay and deck build videos has been very helpful as basis for preparation for my first BCS yesterday. It gave me baseline on how the opposing deck works and gave me ideas on how to outmaneuver them. At the end of the day, I had a 4 - 3 standing, which isn't much, but considering 3 of the matches I won were Azki / Gura and Alice / Silica Top end, I think that's pretty ok. Thanks for the video. This was where I discovered the 8 Standby Albedo deck. I didn't know that they had an anti-burn defensive deck like this. Maybe good against Gura? Right now, I'm trying to build the 8 Standby Albedo deck. The only problem I've been having is that the Level 0 Aura and Level 3 Aura are super hard to find or are really expensive. Are there any substitutes that you would suggest for them? I did find when I was testing it against DAL 8 Standby, it was really hard to get hand filtering/discard and DAL was able to move so much quicker and standby from discard targets easily.
One of the weaknesses of the standby albedo defk is that the deck lacks a degree of utility compared to Date a Live; unfortunately, that’s where cards like the level 0 Aura really shine. It’s hard to replace the role that the Aura provides, as it is multifaceted in providing mill, hand fixing, and sending more standby targets to the waiting room. The level 3 Aura can be replaced with more copies of the backrow Shalltear power support if needed, but you would really appreciate the role of Aura level 3 as a frontrow power buffer and clock shooter- you often times prefer standbying more 2/2 Albedos when you play a standby at level 2, and an Aura 3/2 to frontrow during trigger step to buff your 3/2 Albedos even more.

It’s pretty decent but has a crippling matchup against Ainz and is unfavored against Slime, so if you fear those two decks then it might not be the best pick. It is a lot better now that Alice is out of the picture though

Hey mike and randall, how do yall feel about 8 standby ovl in the current meta?
