Im kinda ok with it only lasting about 1 mile on a charge.but not both together. Third unless u spend hundreds of dollars the suspension on these things dont exist. U can feel every pebble. I'll present my own take. But this one with comparison.
Electric scooter are small, you can bring them inside a public transportation like a train or a taxi.
With small wheels means it's not very good on poorly maintained roads.
The battery will not last forever, and in 5 years time you don't know if you'll find a replacement battery for it.
Does manufacturer still going to maintain it for you.
Now compared to a bike, folding bikes are also small so you can bring it inside train or taxi.
Bigger wheels are 16 inch or 20 inch it is better than a scooter when the road is poorly maintained.
There's no battery to worry about.
Moat shops can do maintenance for it and parts are not proprietary technology.
Folding bikes aren't all shineshine and rainbows too as it requires better fitness for rider to cover same distance with an electric scooter

From what i understand this is comparing a shared vehicle to a non-shared vehicle whic is pretty unfair to start off and this is also assuming it is from a country that generates electricity using fossil fuel.

Stay away from Roadrunner scooters. I bought their flag ship scooter, the RS5+. Only 3 weeks of ownership and its falling apart. Front brakes were bad out if the box and now non-existant. The small lock pin on the stem broke as well. So im sharing my experience with everyone on youtube and facebook. Their warranty is garbage. I highly recommend no one buy one. Already posted mine forsale. I no longer feel safe to ridd it after 3 weeks of ownership. Spread the word.

My pros and cons on e-scoots , I have a car, bike and e-scoot o not a motor bike like a motorcycle ? There is a huge difference ? Car all around very useful. Cons, as long as your not behind that red lite or 100 plus heat and your air conditioner not working and a thousand other headaches a car will give you ! Bike lots of healthy benefits. Cons, flat tires tired and broken chain while on a 100 mil ride ? E-scoot fun, convenient grate for point A to B usage, Cons, charging where are you how's your battery life ? Stopping can you stop when you need to ? Look out for the man walking slow with those kids and your going 15mph ? Yeah that will hurt.
Truth of pros and cons from someone that uses multiple vehicles. O and what are you using as your trunk ?
Some people won't ever learn how to make these vehicles work for them. A con can always become a pro. Have fun with your scooter I recommend them just becareful. WEAR A DAM HELMET ! AND OPEN YOUR DAM ÈYES ! Specially you dam ones in the four wheel ton metal boxes !

Biggest CON: unreliability and overall shortness of battery life. Batteries are consummables. When you buy a phone or a notebook, you expect to use it for a year and then replace the battery if you want to keep using it. Not so for scooters. When the battery is hone, it is gone, as it costs more to replace battery than to buy a new scooter.

Cold Weather: No, just dress properly!
Cost effective? For short trips, yes, but it depends heavily on the scooter.
Charging time: Ok you think now only those 1,5-2A chargers are possible? No, you can fast charge ANY scooter! You just need the proper charger!
Eco friendly? Those you guys are driving not really... too short distance possible to replace a proper vehicle, too slow, and its e-waste within a few years. Also, too many buy cheap scooters and then abuse them and repeat, resulting in more waste.
