Yeah, the AI is ass really, at this point you should probably just sim the games so that we can pretend the games are played properly, not even the Euros own goals have been this jammy. As a Romanian though, damn, even with the undeserved Georgia/Portugal upgrades (counting Kaliningrad, Nakhchivan and Nagorno-Karabakh as independent) we still made it to the final and penalties at that so fair fucking play, should have probably played Georgia in that but I guess the matchfixing is strong in the EA AI…Overperformed even more than irl at this tournament ngl

Hey Jarrad, I think to make these upgrades more effective, you should upgrade the lowest rated players with the high stats. This could really make a difference!
(eg. Consider that a team has 2 starting defenders rated 78 each and a backup defender rated 73. If that team somehow manages to imperialize a good team and is supposed to get an 80 rated upgrade, it'll be better that it goes to the worst player, ie, a defence of 80, 78, and 78 on the bench rather than a defence of 80, 78, and 73 on the bench!)
This would also be helpful in South America with the Global Imperialism series.

In the game France vs Slovakia, France cheated in extra time with that goal from Oliver Giroud which should have been disallowed because he was a mile offside. France obviously bride the ref after full-time to cheat and allow that goal to be given from an offside player. France should have been DQ for not playing by the rules and cheating. Feel sorry for Slovakia losing in extra time to a cheating France with that clearly offside goal.
