I could never live in the same country as something like that. We have some venomous spiders, but you have to look in old logs or under rocks to find them. They don't come into homes, thankfully.

My parents built a house on the side of a mountain in East TN. I was bit by a venomous spider. No way you pretend like this; you kill these things on site. I had issues for years from that bite.

Nature does not care about anyone's safety!...We humans have had to struggle for thousands of years to exist in a rather hostile environment...we do not need to protect spiders, we need to continue to make our way in this rough environment! Survival of the fittest, remember?

We do need to protect them, i live in Brisbane Aus and we get large huntsmen coming into the house, they usually do a lap or two around the top of the walls and realise theres no prey so they leave again, i will never harm one because they catch a lot of pest insects.
