Thank you for saying that being in person with a disability I get called a lot of names too those words are like the words that they call you those types of people say those words because they know no better my uncle told me to sing once and I quote Confucius say he who asked questions is a fool for a while he who don't is a fool forever so all you people if you see somebody doesn't matter what race they are if you have a question to ask if you see a person with a disability and you're curious ask instead of stare or make fun of
A man’s color doesn’t mean nothing it’s all about his character and how he carries and respects himself. I’m white and wouldn’t nobody call this man outside his name in front of me.
Words are words. Separate them from meaning. They have the weight that you give them the moment you hear them, and nothing more than that. The person who uses the word is taking advantage of the fact that you've been conditioned to react to the world itself, for its own sake. Acknowledge this, and work past the irrational belief that words matter. They don't. A person can talk to people of different races and ethnicity with all the respect and care in the world in his words, but think the exact same as the man who blurts out all kinds of slurs - try to remember this. The word doesn't matter. In a few decades, we might have a new word. It still won't matter. Even further; consider that the power you give to words as you hear them is something you alone control. Why choose to care about someone else says if you already know that you don't care much about them? Choose not to care and you won't. Choose to replace your conditioned reaction with a filter, and use that filter in your mind to consider why it may be that you should care about what other people say. If there is no reason other than 'they said it', ignore what is said.
