A lot of people don't understand the danger of the cactus on both sides of the trail just waiting to bite you good. Going down is not a big deal but where you land could really really hurt. I learn everything the hard way and have been in the desert over 40 years. Watch out for those jumping cactus guys.
zrkn1 I always have to remind people about those that visit me here in Nevada too. That and the random deep washouts that bisect trails. Definitely have to emphasize “Dont ride faster than you can see and stop” 😂
@@WindowsPlaysFPS go to tonto national forest I go about every week still in scottsdale (technically) but around 144th street and dynamite is where I go in from but hundreds of miles of trails of different difficulty and terrain can go to the lake can ride the river bottom through the canyons or just the trails up top by far my favorite spot and highly recommend 👍🏼
Cool to see you doing some travelling. I need to get out west sometime it looks like a blast! Here in MO all we have is rock lol roughly softball size rocks that are loose everywhere, so I understand especially the deflections when you get to speed, major pucker factor!
Thanks for the video, now I can't sleep at night in anticipation! This east coast rider will be hitting Phoenix AZ area in 2 weeks to ride similar terrain.
YEAH! Loved this video! I'm out hear in Surprise/Buckeye, AZ, and some places it's like riding on bowling balls. If you didn't fall down then you're in the "better than me" club!
I know you are a super smart guy Kyle so I am not taking jabs but fyi more than one cactus is "cacti" You are doing a great job, I wish you and your family all the best.
Sounded like your cardio wasn't up to speed yet also.. But I'm sure its better now.. That can make you feel slower when your gassed... Sweet looking terrain.
Hello Kyle, anyway you can tell us where this was at? how to get there? maybe include starting GPS location in your videos, for us curious people. I live close to Scottsdale. Don't need exact locations, but something close would be great info in your videos. thanks!
Good vid man! Good to see you back! I've been trying to fill the quality trail riding footage void since you been gone. In Texas here, we have a lot of those baseball sized rocks, and you just have to keep the front light, so it can bounce around. And watch for the wet sheets of rock. Those are slick as snot sometimes too depending on your tire. I usually know when I'm riding with some real good riders when the dust has already settled by the time I cross the same point lol.
When you know you have a better rider, ask if they will take the camera for a bit.Carry two. You- all will be more successful and often sooner that later if you look carefully. Need to give yourself far more credit for not knowing the trail. Thanks and happy riding.
Tubliss is the best, I hammer those same trails on my tx300 and never had a flat. running 5-6psi rear 6-8psi in the front. I am pretty good with my line choice but I can see how other riders could get pinch flats easily.
hey Kyle! i’ve been thinking about getting a new bike soon.I ride a crf 150 expert, and ive outgrown it...would you recommend the crf250r or th ktm 150xcw,i ride woods and enduros i am 13 and 5 ‘6 1/2 .
Great vid man. I'd LOVE to ride down there. We've got some nice desert riding east of seattle but it doesn't look that cool. I was interested to hear your buddy not liking the AER. Nothing really compares to the stock suspension on my 250x kybs but i did just get a new fx450 Husky and I'm absolutely loving those forks. Ironically enough, I seem to only love them in the woods. Rode the desert once with them and i definitely would have had a better time on the Yami. After a day of adjustments though I was able to get them to feel pretty good. Keep up the good work dude.
I know you like 2 strokes kyle but you need to think about doing some 4 stroke bike reviews. I know you have done some in the past but a review of the 18 or 19 FX350 would be nice! Love what your doing keep up the good work!
First one to climb to the top of one of those cactuses and take a selfie gets $100.😂 the strip looks like a blast Kyle I wish I could go riding in Arizona.
Has anybody rode from Lake Alamo ,Browns crossing area to Pride Gas truck stop or the love's truck stop ? Via Lake Alamo road to Bonanza road then 15 miles west thru desert picking up Franconia road to National trails road "Old Hwy.66 west to pride truck stop ? Calculated about 65 - 75 miles one way . Did it on a 1992 Honda xr600r in late fall was nice long fairly high speed , any feedback ?Thanks PS join ATRA in 1991 thru 1995
I’m just starting single track riding been riding my whole life but never done single track looking for beginners trails in Arizona anyone have any they like ?
This makes me sad, I just wanna click third gear and grab a big handful of throttle, dig some jumps and climb some nasty hills. Stupid knee I’m so ready to ride (mentally not physically)
Wow you did a video review on fly gear. Paid full price without being sponsored and now you are riding with their rep. I would think FLY would at least sponsor you with a full set of gear as a way of gratitude.
This takes me back. I lived in Scottsdale when I got my first dirt bike as a teenager. Good times.

I live in that area, must have missed ya! Glad to see you riding again, wish you all the best!.. and yes that was a saguaro cactus!
I take it this is somewhere in Tonto Forest? Somewhere near Bartlett Lake?
Ah Wildcats, a good place to ride! I just moved from Seattle to Arizona and this was my first rec ride in AZ.
Bit late, I just moved here too. Haven't ridden anywhere in this area to ride beside the tracks. Any help?

This is pretty much the only place I ride when I am able to. Cool seeing you riding in my back yard.
Any chance you can tell me where this trail is? I'm in Mesa, and I don't go out Scottsdale way too often for trails.
I'm with you on the tubless.. Love them!

Looks like a fun place to ride. we don't have anything like that near me (Sydney, Australia). what are the other guys riding?

Definitely something to give thanks for.
I am coming to visit soon, is there any people in the area that offer riding trips (dirt bike rental / gear and a guide?)
were is that, wildcat pass?
Just recently ordered a few parts for my dirtbike. Used your Motosport link so hopefully it helped you out a little bit
What’s that trail riding spot called. I’m in Peoria ?
Similar ground to where I live except we don't have any cactus
loving the intro!! just BAM trail riding!! Arizona is a place I really want to ride. I love desert riding esp with cactus's lmao

What are some of the best places around there to ride? Did they fill you in on that?
Hard to go wrong with tubliss2 and some slime. Especially for that area.
Finally been waiting for you to hit some Arizona trails!
I live in Arizona and I am buying a bike in the next few months. I'll mostly ride desert and Dunes. Should I get a 250 or 450?
kyle do you remember the name of the area or fr road # ?
Did you ever figure out where the location is? I would love to go as well.
I'm looking to get a bike (had one as a kid) and I live near Scottsdale. Does anyone have a list or website that can show the trails around?
Those cantaloupe sized rocks are called "baby heads" in Central Texas and they will dump you on you backside in a hurry, especially at pace.
nice, how far are those trails from your home?
How come you didn’t set up a ridding meet up day. I live about 70 miles from there it would be cool if you can
