- Join us for an IFR twin engine plane flight from Albany, NY (KALB) to Pellston, MI (KPLN) after a fun ski trip with my Dad and friend in the Cessna 340. We battle strong headwinds but enjoy a beautiful sunset and smooth flight.

Good flying. I’m a new 340A owner myself.
Great video and beautiful 340 👍🏼
Great work. Just a pointer, you checked in with Boston Center at FL120. In the United States, the transition altitude is 18,000 feet, so flight levels begin at 18,000 feet, or FL180. FL120, or any FL below FL180, doesn't exist in the United States. The term flight level refers specifically to an altitude that is based on standard pressure, which is only used above the transition altitude. In some European countries, the transition altitude can be as low as 5,000 feet, so the flight levels begin at FL050, and up. Europe's transition altitudes change wildly based on location, whereas we keep it simple in the US and use 18,000 feet as the transition altitude everywhere.
👍👍👍
Early in the flight pilot said 'it does that once in a blue moon...' What was he referring to?
Nice video. No autopilot on a nice twin tourer like this?
What year 340 is that?
