I love that your daycare isn’t crammed with toy every where. Kids get overwhelmed with to much. Very organized and great for learning. LEGO is wonderful for older kids. I do just have all the colors together though.
Your setup is really lovely! I can tell a lot of love went into the setup. I also like how you have literacy built into other centers through letter blocks etc.

Do you have an assistant? I’m wondering how you can keep your eye on all the children when they are in separate rooms. I sincerely want to know. I am new to daycare and I am trying to figure out my layout.
No Julie I do not have an assistant. I have 2and 3year olds during the day and 3 school age after school. I spend my time sitting by the doors to the playrooms so I can keep an eye on both rooms. Since covid I turned my schoolage room into a indoor gross motor room. (Keep an eye out for my next video on this 😉) I now have my younger ones during the day. And we all play together in the gross motor room after school age gets back from school. I also have a video on "A Day in the Life" which also shows how I work with different age groups at once. If you want to check it out. 😊

I'm from Saskatchewan Canada. So we get start up Grant's once we qualify to be licensed by passing all safety inspections and licensing requirements. Congratulations on opening up your own home daycare business! It's a lot of work but so rewarding!
Hey Kimberly, no I don't want to take down the walls to make one big play room for a number of reasons. First I have items in the older kids playroom that are not toddler friendly such as beads, loom bands, money etc. Second I have to keep my toddlers separate at nap times from my pre school. Third as much as I love doing childcare I know I will not be doing it forever so making huge changes to my house such as tearing down walls seems like it would be a waste of money . And last but not least it keeps the peace between older kids and their toddler siblings. Lol

bano thank you so much! Yeah I designed them and my sweet hubby built them for me along with the benches in my reading nooks and the shelving units in the play rooms. He saved us so much money. 😊
