Here's a brief history of Donald Glover and his rise to superstardom! Enjoy! I'm feeling pretty sick rn so next video probably won't be for at least a few days. See you then
Donald Glover us a true Renaissance man. No one compares in my opinion. Been with him since 30 Rock and the sick boi mixtape.
I’m such a genuine fan of Donald and I’ve loved him for such a long time and I’m so so proud of where he is today. Thank you for making another great video bb ❤️
get that check king
Poppin video topic!
Lie Likes Music nice seeing you here man
I’ve been a Bino fan since 2012. It’s so dope to see him get the recognition he deserves as a renaissance man.
THIS VIDEO BOUT TO BE GREAT I CAN FEEL IT
Donald glover is the Andre 3000 of our generation, but even more
Way more! Andre will be remembered as a great rapper and entertainer, but Glover surpasses mere entertainment and even art and is a true social satirist akin to Jonathan Swift and George Orwell.
Actually people wanted him to play Peter Parker himself, because of that Marvel created Miles Morales
TRUE!!!!!
what? maybe im not getting a joke here, if so i apologize, but you do realize miles morales is a character from the marvel comics that existed long before the first mcu movies whatsoever
Paulito8000 No? Miles was only created in 2012 or something
Paulito8000 No, Miles is a fairly new character to the comics, inspired by Barack Obama and Childish Gambino himself. As a nod to that, he plays Aaron Davis aka The Prowler, who is Miles’ uncle, in Homecoming.
@@BrandonViardo okay, very sorry, i thought it was the other way around, but that's a very cool fact!
Making moves brother keep grinding man loving your videos, do a Quasimoto
Actually get to see this man in July and cannot wait for it 🔥🔥🔥
Who? Alfo Media?
Gambino...
2 more things. Camp wasnt praised well at all. For Spiderman homecoming, Donald actually inspired the creation of miles morales due to his campaign for spiderman. He then voice acted for him on the animated series.
Been with him since Derrick Comedy. Surreal and inspiring to see how far he's gone.
Because The Internet was released in December 2013, not October. Besides this nitpick I had, you did a great job covering the important stuff Donald has done throughout his career. Dope job homie
Do you like that album????? Hm????
it actually is really ass in my opinion.
You are one of my favorite RUclips channels where I watch ALL your videos. Keep up the good work!
This dude will go down in history as one of the greatest artists to ever live.
He is for sure
Gotta love Gambino. He's easily one of the most important artists of this generation.
Great Video. He will be looked back on in the future as one of the greats
why is there a video about troy barnes on alfo media!?
Keep releasing this quuality content man. Good shit!
Great video! I found one glad though. Donald wanted to play Spiderman Not Miles, Miles was not a character at that time. Glover is actually What inspired Miles Morales to be created. Great video other than that bro
Then he drops Feels like Summer and kills it again!
What a grinder. So much fucking work done. This is just the hit work too. I bet he's done much more that hasn't got much attention.
Damn i love these keep it up
when your fav channel gets there first sponsorrr yeaaa boiii rake it up xx
Donald Glover should be a role model for everyone.
B ß he’s mine forsure
He is for me 100%
Finally, I don't have to explain his amazing career to everyone, I can just send them this video
i never liked Donald's music before, but Saturday & TiA really clicked with me. looking forward to his next album.
I wish I could heart react youtube videos. Luv ya Alfo.
Got a number one victory royale Fortnite we bout to get down (get down)
Troy and abed in the moooorning
He has never stopped rising
Yo I appreciate the work you put into making this video but imo it could do with more detail. It very much felt like a visual Wikipedia summary of Bino's career rather than an in-depth look into the evolution of his sound, image and content which I personally would've enjoyed more. Like it's hard to gauge Bino's 'renaissance man' status when its just a list of impressive things he's accomplished. Anyway been enjoying ur channel so keep at it homie.
I've had a lot of angrier comments which have been telling me that this isn't some crazy, Nerdwriter-esque video essay about the intricacies of how Donald's art is created, but that's really not what I was looking to do. I just wanted to make a light bio telling people about his past and what led to his current fame. Nothing too intense. And thanks
Right I figured so I thought it was sorta unfair of me to criticize the video for something its not trying to do. I just feel with your editing skills, commentary, ambition and audience, videos like these have the potential to be something above and beyond. Like I said, you put out quality content regularly so it isn't a big deal, but adding a personal touch or extra detail never hurts imo. Also what programs do you use to make/edit your videos? Do you use a fancy mic?
No mention of Ludwig dude he's the architect for all of donald's songs
Very good video but Donald didn't leave Community to make music, he left to focus on writing Atlanta.
VANsexual He didn't he left because he wanted to be on his own
Apex Yes you're correct, this was the time when FX agreed to let him make a show. He used that opportunity to leave community to make something which ended up being Atlanta and focused on other things.
Followed Gambino since Community, first listened to BTI
Also shoutout Derrick Comedy
DUDE! Analyze the shit out of "This is America! I want to hear your take.
aflo might be the goat of discussing music on youtube...
You've blown my mind with the Illinoise remix.
i hope he makes more music
Glover and Emilia Clark made Han Solo for me. Their acting was amazing.
Been a fan since The Great Gambino & Weirdo. Such a talent. He should be even bigger then he is.
lol funny how fast he became my favorite celebrity!
He played Miles' uncle
my king
Please do The Cure
I hear red bone beat
Awaken My Love is my favourite album of all time
The amount of talent that Donald has wrinkles my brain
YES A BINO VIDEO OH MY GOD
CAMPO RECEIVED MOSTLY GOOD REVIEWS FROM CRITICS AND THE PUBLIC ALIKE? WTF, HAVE U SEEN PITCHFORK'S REVIEW? 1.6...
*mostly*
dudumachado007 FUCK PITCHFORK!
and they gave because the internet a 5.8 :/
First time I heard gambino was like 2011 on regular show lmao
“I can’t wait to see what he does next.”
About that.
Did he retire?
wait, still confused. is this is america his final song or is he making his final album
Troy and Abed in the morning
not noting how had played miles morales in ultimate spider-man, though only 2 episodes, and that aaron davis is the uncle of miles morales?
His DJ name was mcDJ, not mcD.
Also Miles Morales wasn't even Spiderman during the Donald for Spiderman campaign, but Miles' creation was inspired by Donald.
This timeline is hellllla off. Put it in chronological order next time. Also his MC name was McDj
Jonathan Swift, George Orwell, Donald Glover.
DerrickComedy shaped my sense of years ago
Yo thanks for the 2 free months of skillshare
enjoy!
Also great video btw!
Quick correction. He wasn't going to play Miles Morales that character was created because of the failed campaign to have Donald Glover play Peter Parker. People were mad that Spider-Man was going to be black so marvel made a black Spider-Man.
Forgot to mention that he is a husband and a father too.
I really like Donald but who is that Childish Gambino guy
Anyone else thought this was gonna be a mahup of this is America and rise of the pauls
before they were famous - childish gambino
I have
I fucking love you
He's a legend
2021: fall of child gambino
Who’s watching this after Guava Island
The rise of troy lol
Don’t forget comedian
Was Camp critically praised...?
You'd be surprised lol. 4/5's from a lot of publications. But then you had a few horrible reviews too. Overall I'd guess the average is around a 3.5/5, which isn't great, but still pretty positive
king 👏 shit 👏
you forgot stand up comedian
Too bad Fantano gave Camp an extremely low score.
papi bino
Wow. It wasn’t any miracle like a rapper from a poor town or anything like that. He went to Uni and just built himself up.
I'm not hating, he deserves everything he's getting!
34?!?!?!?!?!?
Get your facts straight 😂
