SJB Gampaha District organisers call for immediate removal of Fonseka

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Gampaha District organisers made a formal request from the party hierarchy to remove Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka from the party with immediate effect.
SJB Wattala Organiser Neomal Perera told journalists that all Gampaha District organisers have unanimously requested the party's general secretary to remove Fonseka from the party.
"We respect the judiciary which issued a stay order on taking action against Fonseka, but we have decided that he should not be allowed to stay in the party any longer," Perera said.
SJB MP Harshana Rajakaruna said the Gampaha District Organisers are happy that Fonseka is going to be removed.
"We are happy that Gampaha District members of the SJB are seeing the last of Fonseka, " he said.
