I liked it initially but unfortunately it became extremely repetitive so I quit a couple of years ago, but I'm not against giving this animated series a chance.

I was initially hesitant to start watching this series because of its title, haha. I know, I know - you don't need to remind me. Anyway, after watching the first four episodes, I'm inclined to stick with it. The visuals and graphics are truly impressive, I have to admit. I'm not very familiar with the original novel, so I'll be counting on some of you novel enthusiasts to fill me in along the way. I'll definitely do some of my own research on the novel, but this series seems quite promising. The donghua's adaptation of the storyline has a good narrative flow, at least from a non-novel reader's perspective, which is a breath of fresh air compared to our most recent series, Immortal Renegade, which, unfortunately, lacked coherence. I'm looking forward to seeing Chu Feng's story unfold.
The storyline is great.. I'm now at Chapter 5712 ... Braving the journey for more than 6 years. I didn't regret the "one chapter a day" all this while.. So glad they made the anime for that novel

Ofcourse it was mutual that they accepted him having three lovers . Maybe Eggy who he might get in relationship with later ... well it's all depends on the author
