To celebrate their recent single, Franky Wah and Rae Morris perform 'Call My Name' live at Anjunadeep Open Air 2023, Finsbury Park.
Franky Wah, one of the UK’s most prominent breakout dance acts to emerge in recent years, makes a return to Anjunadeep with his latest EP ‘Call My Name’.
Announcing the EP last week, Franky shared the title-track ‘Call My Name’, featuring vocals from Rae Morris. The single has already amassed over 100k streams and has been playlisted on Capital Dance and Kiss Bliss.
Franky initially made his mark on the label in 2021 with his track ’Should Have Seen It Coming’, feat. AETHO. The single has amassed over nine million streams to date, and has received extensive airplay, including playlist support from Sirius XM, and over 30 BBC Radio 1 plays, including a Hottest Record accolade from Annie Mac.
Since then, Franky has released two EPs on Anjunadeep, along with a string of chart-topping singles, collaborating with some of the biggest names in dance music including Carl Cox, Sasha, Pete Tong, Cristoph, Vintage Culture and more.
Franky Wah’s touring schedule for the summer is an extremely busy one. He will be playing over 40 dates, including his debut headline residency in Ibiza at Club Chinois and performances at major festivals including EDC Vegas, Creamfields, Tomorrowland and Electric Zoo. Additionally, Franky will join an all-star lineup at Anjunadeep Open Air London in Finsbury Park on August 13, where his performance will feature guest vocalist Rae Morris to perform ‘Call My Name’.

I was literally nailed to the ground. I had anticipated excitement over seeing Leo Wood perform live (up to 3 times, wow!) but when Rae Morris (previously unknown to me) appeared and pulled up her magnificent, enigmatic register with her vocal chords... 😮😮. For some reason I also felt like staring at a singer with an enormous 80s look and vibe to her, somewhat bohemian reminiscent of Elizabeth Berkeley or Kerri Green ❤.

I damn well hope so... I absolutely NEED James & Jody's set in my life. There were two tunes in particular that touched my soul, and I cannot see or find anyone discussing them anywhere. I do hope they're future Deep releases... but here we are, still waiting for A&B's final Printworks set to see the light of day nearly 6 months on!

1:13 that drop just doesn't hit. I don't know? Even the audience is just kinda... bobbing? Rae is doing her best to dance on the kick, but the snare should have been on the three's or something for more of a groove? There isnt even snare actually haha thats what its missing. Too bad. What a waste/unfinished.
crowd were bobbed out after being treated to Marsh and Simon Doty earlier in the afternoon (i feel either of them would've been a better closing set)
