I'm not quite sure why present perfect has been chosen for this video (other than to practice the conjugation of the past participles). If I was getting students to describe the video I would encourage them to use past simple and past continuous. We don't use the present perfect in a narrative so this is a bit misleading. For example (from memory): The old lady went to the vending machine because she was hungry. She PUT money in the machine but it got stuck, so she kicked the machine. She took her cookies and went to the bench. etc etc. While she was looking in her bag, she realised she had taken the boy's cookies by mistake. (past simple, past simple continuous and past perfect).

You're absolutely right that this video is a great opportunity to practice the narrative tenses.
Though, if you watch the video, stop and answer the question "What has just happened in the story?" the best tense to answer the question is Present Perfect.
@@svetlana_makarova Still it would not be *natural English* to say "She has kicked the machine several times, but rather "she kicked" -- because there is NO connection to the present. The PP tense NEEDS some connection to the present in order to be used. At 13:00 you could say: I haven't had lunch yet. / I've just had lunch. But at 19:00 you would say: I had lunch early today / I didn't have lunch today (becuase the usual "lunch-time" has already passed, hence there is no longer a connection with the present!)
Present perfect can be used to describe a recent action ONLY IF the focus is on the result of that action, ie: Why is she wearing a cast? Because she's broken her leg. (The leg is still broken, so the use of present perfect is justified here.)
So for practically all the questions in the video, the past simple would be appropriate. Also because the past / past continous are typically used for narrating a story.
To illustrate meaningfully the present perfect you might consider the following: a famly of four are doing household chores. At midday, the mother checks on what has been done and what hasn't. - The mother has made the beds, and has cleaned the floors, but she hasn't cleaned the windows yet. The girl has cleaned her room and watered all the plants, and the boy has cut the grass. The father has washed the car but he hasn't done the vacuum cleaning. The mother has done the laundry but she hasn't hung up the clothes to dry.. Could be a great idea for your next video!!)

I beg to differ with regard to your first comment. Questions tell us what moment in time we are referring to and from what time standpoint we are observing a scene or examining events. Hence the first question sets the scene and asks 'What has she done?' - present perfect. The next sentence is a continuing examination of the PRESENT state affairs (answering the same question as before), hence "she has kicked the machine'. Otherwise there'd be no point to the exercise and we might as well have started with a past tense question - 'What did she do?'.
The next conundrum should be 'In the end' and not 'At the end' and since this refers to a specific moment in the past the answer is 'She got them' - past tense.
We continue with a present perfect question reaffirming our time standpoint and the phrases that follow (and answers provided) confirm that. The final blank to be filled in is of course in the past tense as it describes what she did (she obviously hasn't presently taken the wrong packet as that has been thrown away by the young man).

I agree but I am American. I learned that in the UK they use present perfect more then we do because they are next to Europe and European languages tend to use the present perfect. In America we often can use it both ways, and just aim for simple. I think it sounds extra dramatic if it is the present perfect. ie. The bird flew away vs. The bird has flown away., Always use p.p. for travel. I have been to India. I went last year.

This is a great video and wonderful idea to work with BUT we don ever write wrong sentences for students to choose. For eg: "haved" does not exist.
