The world's best StarCraft 2 players have gathered at DreamHack Atlanta to compete for a prize pool of $75,000 and the final international title of the year. We are halfway through the ESL Pro Tour 2023/2024 season, with two more stops after Atlanta: one in Katowice, Poland, and another in Dallas, Texas, USA later next year. The entire year of competition will culminate in the coming summer at the yet-to-be-revealed EPT World Championship event.

Greatest RTS game of all time
LOVE watching Starcraft almost 15 years after release!
Can I just point out how great the music selection has been for this tournament?! Absolutely love the modern spin on some true classics!

Some of the best OST for any tournament I've ever listened, and that's not just SC2. Such good taste, and all of that with a Christmas theme, wow!
That also happened in Planetside 2, they incorporated the classic interstellar adventure music from the 80s movies into the game.
Currently we are listening to symphonic music similar to the theme of Star War, Robot Cop, Starshiptrooper in PS2.

Game 3 of Clem vs Serral is the skilliest in Starcraft 2's history, period.
@@honk2727 I saw an online clem vs serral on golden wall during a serral stream a few years ago, so entire game from serral's POV, that was just as intense. Serral was owning everyone on the stream and was not being serious, just chatting to stream. Then the second he saw Clem queue up he got super serious. Serral has crazy POV cam also so was some of the best SC2 I've seen. That was when mines had super fast burrow also. Like really fast. So just lots of cool micro battles, mines moving around at comical speeds with clems insane apm, with liberators and bio running in and out of the fog of war, and serral inducing elipsy with his cam movements, on one of the most epic maps ever made. Can't say it's better from a non POV perspective tho. But POV games are unique / awesome, since you don't see them as often.
But yeah game 3 was epic. Perhaps some of the most perfect TvZ (from both players) I've ever seen.
@@Jez4prez1 These guys man... love them both. POVs are great, and impossible to compare with an obs perspective.

The auto targeting invisible fast firing aoe rocket with no real counter play 75mineral haha. Only a select handful of units can even deal with it without sacrificing themselves. Almost always efficient.

Clem vs Serral was good mainly game 3 but man I i really enjoyed the series of Clem vs Dark, so happy that Clem finally won his first offline tournament.

haven´t played in forever. but still watch the tournaments. my three sports are climbing,basketball and sc2.

i think not doing BL was a big mistake for Serral, but Clem play was insane. Even when I dont like the turtle attack and run style his strats and execution was masterclass

Great try from Dark. Clem was just too dominant this tournament; he is the 4th Race. A phenomenon.
We need a special prize pool for protoss, whoever get's the furtest in a tournament wins a prize.
Competing with protoss is like a 1 armed man competing in pro golf tour, or a man without legs competing in the Olympics.
There is a reason why there is special olympics and competition for handicapped people, and it protoss race is a big handicap.
Toss players should wear helmets.
It's just that toss has the lowest skillcap. If you have 500-600 apm, you get more value out of zerg and terran
@@aLeeb9 so they Need to buff something - how about making colossi stronger against Marauders - it is dumb that a Tier 2,5 Unit needs to run from Tier 1 Units
Maybe buff Storm and especially nerf Ghosts-they Are the biggest Problem in the Game for about 2 years now and didnt get any substantial nerfs
@@aLeeb9 the players has nothing to do with it, its the race that is the problem. I would say protoss have the highest skillcap, cause 1 single mistake will cost you the game no matter how far ahead you are. 1 misplaced pylon and you loose, zerg can do the most mistakes, then terran.

I've rewatched that Serral vs Clem G3 like 5 times
8 havent played in a while but got the mood to watch some sc2. Only in the pros does 5 marines and some ghosts detter a 20 unit zerg force lol.
Good thing they "nerfed" ghosts.
Now imagine 32 min Clem VS Serral is a long game this days... Few years back MECH T vs ANYTHING could go for up to TWO HOURS. After that we had change to the amount of minerals on maps. What a great choice it was.
Not only Mech T was the problem, Swarm Hosts were massive problem too.
the last pacth awarding the speed more than strategy. I think that's why the fastest players qualified. It was great to watch but nearly impossible to use the strategy for yourself.
What has happened to all the older videos from Katowice and DreamHacks pre 2022 🤔 😲 they've all vanished / been made 'Video Private'. Can't find the OG upload of DH Valencia. Katowice 2021 and heaps of others. A bit anxious they might be gone forever!?

Did Clem just just became the nightmare for every Zerg player on the planet by defeating Solar, Serral and Dark? XD I wish I could see him play against rogue at his prime time, that could have been epic.

This version of Clem would have trashed Rogue so hard in macro games.

Game of the year happens, and serral is all good sports about it (says wp gl), and everyone in chat loved it, and Clem was even saying he has been underperforming vs serral recently, he had never beaten serral in an offline tournament before, not to mention he just became the first non-korean terran to ever win a premier, then here comes gerkahn to balance whine on youtube. stfu.
@@ulyssesdoroja2973 Agreed, but Rogue had a knack for finding his opponent's weakness and then exploiting it probably better than anyone else. Rogue might not have let it get to late game. Would be very interesting to see, regardless.

Wont Happen, we wait for a Ghost nerf for about 2 years and they still Are the Most broken Unit in the Game
Also widow mines Are completely untouched since they were introduced to the Game - they Are too cheap, there is absolutely no Risk for the terran to be taken, Spamming these
Of cuorse, that's why we had two zergs in semis again and top notch Terrans like Maru got bopped early. Clem is just on another level right now. Besr player in the world bar none.
dont pinpoint the race imbalance. it is not "what"...it is "how"...most terrans fell to zergs in this tourney. these balance whinings are getting old. be good. think analytically. raise yoir IQ sisters

Well well. Serral got himself tangled with a ghost ball 1 2 3 times. And dark was valiant. But who won?
Clem did amazingly well...Zero mistakes and race handicapped and still won. Terrible balance in the game since the match was even meanwhile serral was constantly losing double and triple resources. I lost count how many times serral lost his army and rebuilt it. Meanwhile as a terran a single infestor can lose you whole game .....Well done Clem. Very happy for you!

Clem's trashy turtle play makes this game unwatchable, not his fault, "experts" from balance council are to blame. Give banelings hp back or buff swarm hosts so they can destroy turtle play.

Widow mines were touched, unburrow was sped up. No other pro cooks with then like Clem though. Some amazing shuffling vs biles.
Oh and Ghost EMP radius is smaller and snipe leash range introduced.
@@J6hn Im speaking of real changes, Not something you wouldnt Even notice of you were new to the Game
Snipe damage was also nerfed from 170 to 130, But like the other „nerfs“ it does Not affect the Mass ghost lategame strat, because the only interactions that Are affected Are Ghost-Roach (they don’t get oneshotted like before. Good Luck on roaches in lategame) and Ghost-Ultra (requires 4 instead of 3 snipes now). Ghost-Viper is unaffected because they still Deal 170 damage to spellcasters. Snipe leash Range is still to high, Ghosts do Not Even lose the 50(!) energy, of the snipe doesnt Hit. The only difference this makes is that out of 100 snipes only 90 instead of 100 Hit. It does Not have an impact on the Game.
And regarding the Emp „nerf“: you do 2 instead of 1 Emp. Why isnt it Single Target damage ? Like Feedback? It is simply dumb that they can nullify zerg and protoss spellcasters with one Click which Are then dead supply in your Army. Ghosts Are Not Even dead supply when they got emp‘d because they still have an incredible Auto attack.
Why does zombie grub feel like someone needs to be talking non stop during the whole match. Your commentary is fine…just please watch an old tastetosis cast and stop filling in every moment of silence with gibberish. Some silence is fine.

@@grandeura3001 Vipers for the air. For mine, you can't a-move your army, but send in single zerglings in front of your main army to bait widow mines. You should never fight into a tank or lib zone unless you plan to destroy them all, and dont' use mass roaches against tanks. Ghost are really strong and don't have any easy counter, but they are very time consuming and expensive for the Terran to make. Ghost are one of their end game units, so too many dead ghost will make Terran lose the game. Infestors Fungal ability is really good if it lands, and you have other units that can attack.
Clems army was really weak against vipers, but neither dark or serral made enough of them. IMHO Zerg is used to abusing the strength of Banelings & Roaches because they trade really good with good micro. But both of these are tier 2 units, they're not suppose to be that strong.

I just have to scroll down to the comment section and express my personal opinion; "God I wish Beomulf, Catz and zombiegrub would let go of their constant pursuit of a career in starcraft" - They have no followers on social media and but they´re convinced they belong in front of an audience. Such an American behaviour too.
Stfu with that attitude. We’re lucky to have every caster and promoter possible and they’re great at what they do.
Pretty sure you're an irl friend of one of the named casters, I'm not the only one who feels the entire SC2 scene is dragged into the mud by the die hards like fishmouth Zombiegrub and Beomulf etc
