This printer was reviewed on the channel 5 months ago and at the time was less that stellar with slicer issues, incomplete features, and firmware quirks. Creality has been busy on updating their Halot Ecosystem and in today's we take another look at this printer. The difference between the Halot one in July compared to today is night and day.

Bought this printer when the online store sold it for 200 dollars and it's been a great first resin printer for me since it hasn't given me any issue aside from me having to pay for a lychee license to fully use the software. Build quality is really solid and I'm glad I chose this printer.
What resin do you use I’m confused?

Funnily enough, my Halot One had been gathering dust until just last week. I could never get it level. Right side of the build plate was ALWAYS tighter than the left no matter how many times I followed proper leveling instructions to the dot. Prints would fail way more often than they would succeed, and I just shelved it out of frustration.
Came back to it recently and tried to dismantle the build plate attachment and put it back in reverse, as in the side of the build plate that faced me when properly installed is now facing the machine. It leveled perfectly, and now my prints come out with no hardware related issues. Only problems I get now are caused by improper supports.
Been printing nonstop for the past 1 and a half weeks now with minimal issues. It's a great printer.

I just bought this to see if I'm going to like resin printing. I didn't want to chance it with the Prusa SL1S, to not enjoy resin printing. I'm glad to know they've worked out a lot of the kinks. I was able to get this new, for $145, and I'm excited to get it going!
This is my first resin printer. The price for this and the wash and cure station ia insane right now. Can't wait to get it going!

Another great video. I never understood why companies sell half baked products either. If your a customer who buys one of these machines, you are going to remember that experience and likely share it with everyone you know. It would be so much cheaper in the long run and better for their image to just test products and release a finished product. I guess at least they listed and fixed the issues, that is better than some companies. If only they could fix the Sermoon with a firmware update.
Problem is customer service sucks. I bought my machine a month ago and only got 1 print off before it stopped printing. I updated the printer, downgraded, updated, downgraded, etc., changed, FEP, etc. When I contacted customer service I gave all information including Amazon order number, pictures, detailed explanation, etc. It took a week for them to get back to me and all they asked for was a copy of the actual Amazon receipt. I sent that and now over a week later have not heard anything back. Also, you can't buy any replacements from anywhere other than Creality and you can't buy all items that you may need to replace.
Creality‘s operation makes me understand that my Halot One Plus is a disposable printer. If the parts need to be replaced, there is no parts to replace it
Creality was doing a 50% off sale, picked up the Halot One Pro for only $150. Excited to see what it can do I’ve been FDM printing for ~6 years now.

Have you tried the Elegoo Mars 2 or 3? I haven't found any videos comparing these two and I would love to know how good they print compared to each other for miniatures.

I just bought one on second print working fine, I’ve upgraded firmware to latest beta which adds either printing with settings from the printer or file, also the latest halot box software works great will be removing lychee due to having to sign up and adverts before printing.
I've considered replacing my OG Photon for a mono printer. I've fallen in love with my Ender 3, and wonder if Halot is the way to go?
Just got mine from the sale 99 euro including shipping and vat what a steal!
I write this just 3 week after the video was released, and already the slicer looks very different again. From someone who is very new to resin printing, I can highly recommended it. After my initial failures with the Voxelab Proxima 6.0, I nearly gave up. A similar spec / price printer, but with night and day performance.
Sold, just ordered one after being put off over older reviews against the LD002H.
The Halot One has been phenomenal for us.
I have funds for either photons mono 4k or halo one; which one is better?
I know the video is a little old but the Anycubic Photon Mono also allows you to chance printing setting from the machine.

Well, pls give a call to creality because they Hid again the screen duration for the entry printer. How many hours until replacement? For the Creality LD-00R had to find by myself (600hrs). I wish you and all reviewers out there started to dig into Replacement time and cost for the printer screens.
Is this the Pro or regular? Is there much difference? The ability to change exposure time on the machine without having to go inside and re-slice would be fantastic!

The prusa SL1/s has been able to change printer settings directly on the printer since it has released.

I've recently purchased the Halot. Everything was easy to set-up and i printed the stock Eiffel Tower, but after that, I can't print anything. I've watched soooooo many tutorial videos but nothing works. I don't know what to do.......
I'm late to the party, but I just got a Halot as my first resin printer and wonder if you found the activated carbon filter to have any effect on the smell and amount of chemicals in the air ? Maybe it's my resin choice that was bad (Elegoo ABS like resin, smoky black), but it stinks my whole basement as soon as I fire it up, raising concerns about health issues.

I'm debating getting the halot one+
As an agile software manager I kind of like the MVP push of a product then fast iteration. Early adopters are able to take in the product and provide quick and VALUABLE feed back, such as yours, that they would otherwise take monthly longer to figure out.
If the defects are so severe that the product doesn’t work, then yes hold it back. But if it runs and this speeds up the advancement of the hobby, then push that baby out to market. This all hinges on the idea that Creality will quickly iterate on feedback, so keep up the good work team and thank you for these awesome videos man.

In our company, we call this a banana product. Ripens at the customer.
I think the issue people had with the product was that it wasn't at 100% beta yet, let alone being aa beta. Like the supports causing the model to shift up and then ultimately fail should have been fixed. Moving the bed when paused should have been added the first update. Later things like mobile app connectivity could come later but some core functions were not yet ready which was the issue.

The printer improved in less than 2 quarters and is now providing a much higher value to the customer, at no additional cost. You mad about that?

Would you consider getting this for 99 a better option than buying an Elegoo Mars 3 for 171? First Resin printer.
A year later and I'm curious if it has gotten even better.
I forgot to update when trying to print for the first time. Froze at layer 5 and I, as a resin beginner, after idiotically trying to drain resin poured resin on my table. Really bad experience but totally my fault

Totally stoked...just bought the epax 10 with the understanding it was 192x120x250 and 4k. What i recieved was the upgraded 10.1 5k 220x140x250. So to those thinking of buying the printer off Amazon....do it, youre actually getting something much, much better.
I just bought the printer for $129 Can. Got one print from it now it won't print at all. Vat clean doesn't work either. I can see the UV light working but it isn't very bright so I think the LCD screen has failed or maybe its a firmware issue. I hope someone can help.
I’m liking this machine as an entry printer. I’m looking at getting a resin printer for figure and scenery prints for wargaming only. I don’t have a PC so watching your review would I be able to use just my I phone with their app and work the file to get it ready to print out ?

I've got 2, the slicer still sucks. You have to save with supports as a stl, delete the model and reload your saved model. My screen does not look like that though. My thoughts on it, they are good other than the film needs replacing often and few times won't stick to the bed.

its easy to update, you put firmware on usb stick, plug it in and find in menue update option...

I bought a Halot One a few months ago over a Mars 2 Pro because of the nicer LCD display, but also because I got it for just under $200 while the Mars 2 Pro was still $260.
Print quality I wouldn't expect to be too different but that screen and lower price was too good to pass up on. Now with the updates its kind of a no brainer.
It's a shame I'm kind of lazy and haven't printed too much, I kind of don't want to just produce more plastic waste too, but if I were to go to Elegoo I think it would have to be for the Mars 3 for the slightly larger size and higher resolution. Though like he mentioned that resolution may be unnoticeable.

They already do that, when he was showing the UI, there was a button that said local update which is where over the air updates are.
Can you try to use a FDM Printer as an "injection molding machine" ? Just by using a simple cavity of roundabout 2-3 cm³ to evaluate if it would work ? Didn't see any videos on youtube to this topic
Very unlikely to work. Guessing it could theoretically work with a huge nozzle and a high flow nozzle, but by then ur better off just building ur own injection molding machine :)
Short answer is no. It is completely different technology.
I'm watching now and I think you know... with regards to firmware upgrades etc and having product issues during covid = shows what the problem review channels like this is to companies. Lots of products get better over time with firmware upgrades - eg sony ps4/ps5 etc.

Still garbage. Literally no matter how many times I level the plate or change settings Ove only gotten one print to stick. Needless to say I put about 75 rounds of 223 through it and ordered an egloo

why not entertain the idea that you had a lemon initally. be a good idea to test 2 before making a final review on a product
