This remix sounds nothing like I had in mind. It just kind of came out. I do like it a lot but in my head I heard a ruffer more dirty stuff. Like it all begins with the main brass lead. It should've been played by bariton saxaphone - the low one. I didn't have any good sounds available to me so I just went with cheezy brass lead. So from there on I just decieded to take it to another direction. There are some original Amiga sounds in there used. That mid range thing that's constantly grooving there - If I was doing this today I would've added a wahy guitar on top of it. I do love how this thing came out but if I ever get a good Bariton Saxaphone VST and figure it out - I'll possibly make another version. Same is with the Xenon 2. I had the same problem there :D
one of my amiga favourites. excellent my friend! brings memories back while listening the original amiga sound at the end. video editing is awesome too.
+stylishstyler thanks brother! :D I've used 2 or 3 original sounds from Amiga in this remix :D but yeah - I usually put the original track at the end - or something as closely related to it as possible - for even more nostalgia!
I would love to see a remake of this game, something along the lines of Rocket League but staying true to the actual Speedball Sport, would be an awesome multiplayer game, done right. And yes I know there was a remake done, but it didn't capture the essence of the original, it didn't have the same Meaty sounds, music or feel of the original. It needs that 80s feel but with a modern twist. The remake looked like a bunch of mechs running around, sharp angles, just poor design.
I discovered the original theme in a random video I watched and loved it. But this remix? It might just beat that original by a small margin. I love how you kept the original synth segment in this version - makes it feel just a little more modern :) Well done!
You are really talented! The remixes are great and yet faithful to the original soundtracks and you could easily believe the creators of the original scores made them! The videos are pretty atmospheric too.
Thanx for this compliment. This is exactly what I'm aiming at with most of my remixes. I'm trying to be as close to the original as possible, yet sometimes try to sneak in a bit of my own add to the song. Sometimes I would change the arrangement & vibe a little or something - depends on the song... As far as Videos go, I'm trying my best to keep it interesting with what limited skills I have :D
Arcade MusicTribute That's the talent right there you add your own ingredient, your own personallity, to the mix but in a discrete subtle way to make it better but not different. That's music alchemy keep it up!

Thanks mate. I appreciate it! It turned out way different than I wanted it. If I could afford it I would have the main lead played by a baritone sax because that is what I believe is what it was meant to be. I didn't have any appropriate VST so I just decieded to fuck up the whole track and turn it on its head. It came out really good in my opinion but that's because I did not try to do what I originally wanted to. Besides the main lead being played by cheesy brass VST instead of the baritone sax I wanted to give it a harsher non polished sound. Just way different than it actually sounds but I can't mix that kind of stuff so I just went with the flow and this came out. Same thing was with Xenon 2. Again the main lead should've been baritone sax and the whole drum sound should've been more old school, vynil rap kind of sound. Harsher non polished... And again I couldn't do it and I just went into my own direction. I love both of the tracks but I just wish I could've worked with some professionals to get these mixes the way I hear them in my head.
funny enough I did buy a pretty decent sax VST in late 2017 after both of these tracks were already released, but it's not baritone so I could not have used it anyways ;) It can be heard on the "Arcane" track but it's mixed together with brass VST & other sounds...
@@ArcadeMusicTribute Yeah it must be hard to "modernize" these tracks because the originals are very specific combination of things, maybe some of the charm is even in the old limitations of Amiga, in how most everything was just 1 sample with harsh pitch shifting. Hard to reproduce or to catch the essential. You did well, I should check out more of your covers. It's funny how game music from this time is often better than actual "artists" and DJs of today.
