Tifa's Theme - Seventh Heaven (Final Fantasy VII) | Fingerstyle Guitar

- So I think Tifa might be my favorite character in Final Fantasy VII. And I think this theme is a good example of why. It perfectly captures her personality - specifically, her kindness and compassion. I've heard Tifa being described as a fighter with the personality of a healer (whereas Aerith is the healer with a personality of a fighter), and I think that's accurate. One of the most memorable scenes in the FF7 Remake for me was when a Shinra employee questions why Tifa is trying to save him, saying "but I work for Shinra. I'm the enemy" - and Tifa's response was "I don't care. I don't want anyone to die. Please."
This arrangement is based on the track called "Tifa's Theme - Seventh Heaven" from the remake. I loved Tifa's theme from the original FFVII, but I preferred the dynamics in the remake version, with the added intro and the different instruments and all. I thought it lent itself very well to a solo instrumental guitar arrangement.

Nobou Uematsu is such a wholesome composer, and this arrangement of yours is even more wholesome on guitar. Feels so free.
This is definitely one of my favorite Final Fantasy tracks in all of the Final Fantasy history. The feeling of being welcomed home by a girl Cloud has an undoubted crush on with the feeling being mutual, really reflects in this song. The mature type of one, one that Cloud's mom would more recommend for him if you listen carefully to her words. Tifa is also one of my favorite characters of all time due to her strength both physical and mental, her loyalty, her sweet charm, more reserved approach towards Cloud, friendship and also guidance. The woman that would remain by his side during the toughest times when he loses his mind and control of his body. One willing to sacrifice her life to try and rescue him from the danger of the violent waters. That and a savior of the planet and an under talked about gem 💎 of the success of the story. This rendition of yours is beautiful and brings back many awesome memories both old and new. Thank you Anton for sharing this awesome performance! Loved it!

Well. I couldn't have summed it up any better myself! You just said everything that's great about Tifa, and why I also think she and Cloud are basically meant to be together. I especially liked the bit about the advice from Cloud's mom. Totally spot on 😂

Great cover as always, you're a great inspiration for me, where did you learn how to create acoustic arrangements like these? Can you tell a little bit about your story? I did some small video playing a megaman x arrangement on my channel, nothing on your level but it's a start. hehe
Thank you! It's an honor to be called an inspiration, even though it can be a bit uncomfortable because I feel like I don't really deserve to be called that 😅
I started learning how to create my own acoustic arrangements because I had a good teacher. I never took formal guitar lessons, but I have a cousin who taught me how to figure out a melody by ear based on chords. At first it was just to for an intro to a song, wherein I play the vocal melody - instrumentally - before the singing starts (kind of like Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven"). But I loved the idea so much that I took what he taught me about figuring out a melody from chords, and did a whole instrumental fingerstyle arrangement of said song.
Of course, that took a LOOONG time to arrange, being new to instrumental fingerstyle and all. But once I knew that I could tap into this whole new world of instrumental playing using just *chords* as a jumping off point - I decided I wanted to do that full-time lol. So I went back to some of the old songs I'd learned on guitar and as long as I knew the chords to them - I could possibly find out how to play the melody as well. And I just kept working on fingerstyle arrangements from there. I also discovered that I could transpose chords, so that if the song was in a key that was uncomfortable to play, I could take all the chords to that song and transpose them to a key that is more comfortable to play. In fact, this arrangement of Tifa's theme is one of those transposed themes I've done.
I saw your MegamanX5 video! That was actually pretty good! You seem to have a good handle of the fundamentals of fingerstyle playing, especially with the changing bass patterns and all that. I have good memories of MegamanX5 and X6 as well, so bonus points for that! 😁

By the way i get to know your channel by Thorn And Zorn fingerstyle arrangement and then i watched all yours ffix videos, that cover is just incredible, i'm a huge fan of ffix.
