I'm so amused by the continuous binding! I do it this way and you do get faster at it! I found that shortening the stitch length (like you would for sewing quilt blocks) keeps the binding from pulling apart.
Thanks for watching all those videos for us. Fork pleats-agree, too fiddly. Fork zipper-have tried it and didn’t like it. Spray starch-genius. See through pattern piece-good idea! Continuous bias-I saw this years ago and never tried it-I think I prefer cutting and sewing or doing it your way. I am generally not a fan of having one more thing to hold onto when sewing. The fabric and machine are generally enough. Curious about how a fuller busted person would fit the Sirocco. Will watch to see how it goes next week.
Thanks Barbara! It was a fun stream. I’m looking forward to seeing the Sirocco. Maybe it’ll be in my size and I can try it on! The hashtag shows a lot of sizes but I completely agree with you and I always have suspicions of any wrap garments.
Thanks Saremy for the mention. I can believe how quickly you prepared for this episode. I sent you that straw demo not too long ago, too bad it was a bust 🤣. The various demos were interesting, even the fails. As a hump jumper, I also use a Schmetz needle case as your viewer Louise mentioned. I tend to watch the replays of your lives to be able to fast forward. Life has just been so stressful lately. Hope you’re having a nice weekend.
I loved hearing channels that I follow and watch getting mentioned here and it not just all being the 5 minute crafts stuff honestly. I think the thing I’m taking away the most is definitely the hump jumper button trick! I got a jar of random buttons some have matches others don’t band I’m gunna fish one out and use that when I hit thick seams cause my machine came with literally nothing when I bought it! Downtown tailoring is great she’s a hoot to watch sometimes! I’ve seen the fork think for pleats but honestly having a waist band and just pleating down to that measurement in those sections is much easier. That’s kind of the joy of pleats they don’t always have to be perfect or exact
I cut bias binding for the first time yesterday and did something wrong so I just had lots of empty squares thankfully I figured it out on my second scalp cause I am now out of usable fabric for my Luna tank 😂

That’s an excellent tip! That way you don’t have to back tack. Continuous is pretty cool.

Thank you for the inspiration Noemi! I hope life gets a bit more tame for you and maybe some sewing can bring some peace!

I totally agree!! She’s so good! And I like that she inserts a couple of honest comments here and there.

Noooo!! 😅 I have a video on how to cut bias!!
@@SewSewLive well I’ll have to find it I guess lol if I don’t have enough with what I’ve got I’ll just hand sew a rolled hem or something.
@@mrs.knecro7044 this is when we ask ourselves the truly important questions…does it really need a hem? 🤔 🤣
This video was packed with tons of fun !! Amazing tested tips in action! OH Yeah! Thank you so much!!
It was a lot of fun!
Congratulations on 10K :-)
