So true....JC is so talented....very underated, as an actor, and as a fighter. He still has "got it"! He has super "foot and eye coordination"...while most of us try to maintain good hand/eye coordination. JC's feet are controlled just as well as his hands! @PKB but putting him up there with Bruce Lee is an insult there will never be another Bruce Lee no one can even come close to him plus Bruce Lee was honorable no one can say that about Van Damme because he was a deserter and a womanizer and showed no remorse for cheating on his wife with his costar he’s for sure not someone to look up to unless you have very low moral values also there’s a big difference between being good at martial arts and being so good you can compete in MMA big difference
@PKB Van Damme is no where near as good as Bruce Lee was all he has are high kicks and splits Bruce Lee got a part in a as movie for doing a jump kick and kicking a light out that was pretty high up and he was so fast they had to slow the camera speed to even see his kicks
That’s funny because the very first mma was the form Bruce Lee made so get it right without Bruce Lee there wouldn’t be mma that has nothing to do with Van Damme Van Damme had nothing to do with the Creation of MMA fighting
@PKB considering I’ve taken MMA Tang soo do Taekwondo judo karate boxing kickboxing and have 3 second place trophies for full contact Karate and a seventh place medal for weapons I’m pretty sure I know very well what MMA is the style that Bruce Lee came up with was the very first form of what’s called mma today
MY FAVOURITE MARTIAL ARTIST!! I ADORE HIS FIGHT STYLE!!!!
Living Legend. My Idol
thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏❤
Had it been modern times, he might have been able to do both. But that's just speculation. He's such a LEGEND. That will never die. Always one of my favorites
That helicopter kick is his signature and it's unmatched no one throws a helicopter kick like him imo
Scott Adkins throws it like him
My dad took me to see Bloodsport back in 88 and I instantly fell in love with Van Damme. I instantly joined a Karate dojo and have been training ever since. After Bloodsport he just kept nailing it for the next several years to, Kickboxer, Lionheart, DOuble Impact, Universal Soldier, Hard Target, TImecop, and Street Fighter (Yes I really did enjoy enjoy Streetfighter)
Awesome to hear that !!
And you are not the only one.
Many of us were inspired by his incredible work..
thanks 🙏 have a great day
His style is very captivating. Playing the underdog in those movies was a thrilling ride! What a unique artist!
That was indeed such a cliché. JCVD first gets his ass kicked, then as he is almost done he remembers his training, then he gets a second wind and destroys the other guy.
Van Damme is still my favorite martial arts action star!
He could kick very high !! And so easy for him 🙌🙌🙌🙌👍
Great video !thanks for making this 👏
The control he has over his legs is incredible. I get a leg cramp just watching
😊😂😂🙏👍 super 😂👍
Best looking guy + my favourite fighter love you with lot's of respect
thanks for the kind words !! 🙏🙏🙏
Van Damme. Sir. I just lije to say I never met nor once. You are my favorite actor and I would just like to say thx for teaching me how to kick.
So true....JC is so talented....very underated, as an actor, and as a fighter. He still has "got it"! He has super "foot and eye coordination"...while most of us try to maintain good hand/eye coordination. JC's feet are controlled just as well as his hands! If I tried to do splits...if most people tried to do splits...we'd either hurt ourselves internally and/or split our pants! JCVD #1 forever.
He’s a shit-awful fighter. Chuck Zito caved in his square fucking head in an actual for-real fight. You internet ninjas are fucking hilarious
Proper Karate kicks 👌..this is Gold..
I've always enjoyed watching Van Damme movies. Some of the best action when I was growing up.
I have always adored his voice and movies, his strength, his artistic athleticism
He's damned good! He could help a lot of modern fighters with stretching, flexibility, & kicking techniques!
Yes sure.🤣 they have no idea what they are doing these modern athletes 🙄
@@viking_nor Joe Rogan helped improve GSPs spin back kick. Karl Van Roon helped improve Izzy's kicking game. I don't see how JCVD couldn't do the same.
Van Damme was helping Cody Garbrandt and accidentally kicked him in thr face. Cody then cried like a b In interviews about it even though Van Damme immediately apologized.
He is already. If i remember well, Van Damme got a sport room and train people there, and a bunch of fighters went there. George St-pierre being one of them.
I am french.Jean Claude is a best and humble guy.A legend and movie is a best ever.I am 33years and watch one millions time movie for van damme.
Double impact 🤩🤩
Enjoy this video about Jean-Claude Van Damme ! Thanks for watching !! have a great day !! 🙏🙏❤
Without a doubt the most graceful martial artist that ever lived
Too bad he got into acting and then drinking alcohol/drugs too much
there are few that have that level of control of their body .
he's just so solid and precise with every movement .
I still think that this man can teach martial arts to new generation 😘❤️I love n like his acting n action by anyway 😁🙏👍😘
idoL,, my best martial artist idol,, Mr Jean Claude van Damme,, 5'11",, from Belgium,, idoL,, 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
We grew up watching our all time favourite. So many wonderful memories a true living legend and a great legacy....Love you always Jean Claude Van damme an inspiration to us all 😍 ♥ 💖 🙏
I started Muay thai at the age of 13 after watching Kickboxer over and over again I'm 45 now merci monsieur JCVD for changing my life.
I know. Van Damme was my hero and inspiration when I was young. Trained my flexibility to be like him but didn't have the dedication. Just love the kickboxer, bloodsport, universo soldier, time cop, Leon and many more movies with him.
Jean Claude motivated Me to practice martial arts ans kicking for 10+ years even though I never had training
There will never be another JCVD. ❤
To this day... Bruce Lee and JCVD. These guys are who inspire me to train and teach. For 33 years I've been committed to the martial arts and all aspects of it. I truly thank these legends for instilling a passion in me since I was four.
The same here !! Those two and Stallone , made me start with pushups at 8-9 years old. Squats and situps .. and later at 13 years, pullups at the park a few kilometers of my home.. Made my own nunchakus at 13. Built a wooden man at 15. That's how we trained back then , without internet.. just seeing the movies and magazines.. and of course the music - soundtrakcs
Jean-Claude Van Damme in 90s was one of the finest specimens ever created by god. One of the most genetically gifted people ever.
nothing to do with genetics. it's just training. but okay lol
@@quetailion6762 He ment good looks, strong body, flexible. It has alot to do with genetics. But also you are not wrong,he is comited to the max and works very hard.
@@aljosaraketic8258 how is pumping steroids working hard again? Anyone with eyes can see he uses steroids and to bad he has no morals
@@JOHNSMITH-ym2dk Sure dude, he's the *only* 'roider worth mentioning.
Jesus, the lot of you riding his shortcomings as if you're on copium overdose 🙄
@@bfFAN221 his shortcomings run very deep you got to have balls to make lots of movies portraying soldiers when you’re a real deserter that spent 3 year’s in a military prison right bet his wife was honored to be married to him after he went on tv bragging about cheating on his wife I think the name real dirtbag comes to mind thank god he wasn’t in a war I can see people dying because of this poser
Thank you so much for the interesting FOOTAGE on Van Damme,’ ABSOLUTELY TALENTED AMAZING MAN 🙏❤️
Many thanks for your kind words !! i hope you spent a wonderful christmas 🙏🙏❤❤
He is the greatest kicker hands down …I modeled my kicks after his I can never get close enough to be as good as what he is there’s only one Jean-Claude Van Damn he is Awesome I hope one day to meet him
Andy Lau could give him a run for his money.
Lov JCVD😎😎😎, part of my childhood!
Always was a Top inspiration for me growing up. I Love this video because it confirms that “he is a True Warrior” with a light loving heart for people and theatrics. He just seemed bent on making people smile & believe.
❤❤❤❤Vandamme is the best
👌🏼😎
His flexibility, speed and power are so awesome,...
Жан Клод красавчик .Всегда мечтал быть похожим на него .Дай Бог ему здоровья и процветания в 2023 году 🎆🎆🎆🎆💫👍
as a 17 year old seeing no retreat, no surrender for the first time in 1985 ..this guy blew my mind ....he was the only memorable thing in the film ... and wow what a performance ..
loved his movies
100%! I felt the same way when I saw that. The white suit, the attitude, the kicks! By far he is my favorite action star.
Van Damme still kicks butt after all these years!
Van could have become a world champ kickboxer but he was destined to become world known and he became famous with both kickboxing and acting
Been watching a lot of 80s and 90s action films recently and I’ve started to get into his films now and he’s definitely my favourite. I personally think he’s brilliant!
Better than many others anyhow. Seagal had 1 good film, Under Siege. I tried a few other, it's not funny how bad they were. Jackie Chan is OK, but his films are not so great to watch. Chuck Norris was very good, and his films I thought were good, In 1 episode of Walker he did a tiny exhibition of 3 styles that he knew, he was versatile. It's just in most films he only used his Tang Su Do.
JCVD, a sensitive man...wonderful MMA-Technique 💪🏾❤
I love him with passion
Jcvd is a legend and will always be my idol
JCVD is One of my favourite actor, fighter and human being.
JCVD is a legend 🍻🔥
Thanks so much !! I really appreciate your kind comment about JCVD! 🙏🙏🙏
Have an awesome day !! 👍
@@bestactionmovies1 Van Damme was the actor who made martial arts movies awesome,it was him who inspired the new legend Scott Adkins.
He inspired videogame characters and a generation of people who still love action movies will allways miss him.
Thank you Van Damme!😁
@@nunosantos00 amazing words ! Yes, Scott was inspired by Jean Claude . Like millions around the world .. thanks for your kind words ! 👍💯💯
Jan claude van damme iş my favorite actor we love Jan claude van damme as family
He had insane agility and flexibility.
Nice clips.. JVCD Legend 101 🙏
JCVD can fight, respect 🙏
Was very sorry to hear when he got into drugs, because he is a sound guy, but it was just a slump, and he is back again
I remember when Michael ja white said Sean Claude is just an actor I’m like well so are you Sean Claude is as legit as a martial artist as he is
Absolutely love JCVD ❤️
Lots of respect lots of respect for all the martial artists who made our child amazing
I know , he was incredible and the best martial arts action Star to ever do it
Jean-Claude Van Damme was always one of my favorites loved all of his movies and Bruce Lee was also one of my favorites took Taekwondo and Okinawan style karate love practicing 65 now need to get back into it
Jean Claude van Damme was and is one in a million! He was a heart throb and he is awesome actor! He has become very slim,he could use the 20 pounds back on.Even so,he is a awesome person and very good looking!
The king of immortal kicks that has never been repeated and will never be repeated
Jean Claude van Damme has the fastest leg in the world. He is great😍😱
And a True Legend😎
I will have to agree with you, I like Van dammed as an actor because also as a person he is very compassionate always put everything into the films he did, very similar to Bruce Lee, a pure perfectionist. Great video and footage, I've never seen this footage before. Thank you
Van Damme's control over his legs was phenomenal. I have no doubt he would have crushed most of his opponent's had he chosen the tournament circuit over acting. He deserved much more attention than someone like Chuck Norris.
Chuck only got attention for being americann
I agree 200% if that’s possible 😊👍
Thanks a lot !!
Chuck has been so much overrated..
great comment !! 🙏🙏
I disagree about Chuck being overrated.
My favourite actor an martial artist, love his movies, van damme the best , my hero when I was a kid in the 90s an still my favourite actor to this day 👍👍
My Idol.
Thanks 🙏 🙌🙌🙌 have a great day 👍
Those sharp kicks are on par with the Rhee Brothers.
Vandamme was totally legit amateur martial artist who could have been a champion if he wished. Most folks are just jealous & will diss him all of their pathetic lives.
Jcvd s an always will be one of my generations action ,fighting movie actors , I watched the BIO ,,,,partly , and the scene where he broke down Apologizing to his family ,was ABSOLUTELY FROM HIS HEART ,I don't give a shit what bone heads say about him ,his acting or him in general he's a human just like all of us , had his BRILLIANT TIMES AND HAD HIS DEMONS , like my self Jean Claude ,you are one of my inspirations ,and those who DISS YOU never will experience you ,,,,,, FLAMING GREAT LIFE , RESPECT
Blessings from Colombia 🇨🇴, JCVD the Best
One of the best movie fighters of all time. Bodybuilder, ballet dancer and martial artist. Perfect for flashy moves.
Respectfully, mate, he's not built like a bodybuilder. Too much mass gets in the way of speed and grace. He's very ripped so he looks bigger !
@@pateris of course he did bodybuilding. He even owned a gym at some point. Sure, he wasnt a pro, but still. He build his body with weightlifting and diet to the point he wanted it to be. Thats bodybuilding.
@@kevindorn2508 Guess it depends on anyone's definition of bodybuilding ! But in the immortal world of Canadian philosopher Garfield : No big, fat, hairy deal.
@@pateris sure, no big deal. He even went on stage as a bodybuilder at some point (probably when he owned the gym) and the official definition for bodybuilding is "the developing of the body through exercise and diet". But your personal definition seems to be something different, thats fine for me.
@@kevindorn2508 Yes, you stick to the original definition of bodybuilding. Now there seems to be no esthetics involved, just getting big for big's sake, which means who has the best pharmacist wins ! Anyhoo… We're both right ! 🙃
loved kickboxer, Jcvd is legend
Cynthia Rothrock and JCVD would have been a great on-screen duo, they both kick really high as their trademark move. They're both still in great shape, maybe they could still do something together.
He always looks like he's having so much fun too.
The Legend, Jean Claude. 🙏🙏🙏💪💪💪💪💯💯💯💯🇧🇬
I am very thankful with your lovely comment !! 💯💯🙏🙏 I wish you will have a wonderful day !!👍👍👍
@@bestactionmovies1 Thank you, you are a very nice man. ❤❤❤🙂🙂🙂🙏🙏🙏🙏🇧🇬🇧🇬
Throws that kick beautifully. Like a jab. With ease
I ALWAYS LOVED MARTIAL ARTS AND WATCHED BRUCE LEE MOVIES ON THE WEEKENDS AS A CHILD, BUT WHEN JEAN-CLAUDE VAN DAMME HIT THE SCREEN IN NO RETREAT NO SURRENDER AS THE EVIL RUSSIAN, I COULDN'T HELP BUT LOVE HIS PERFORMANCE. HE WAS THE BEST. HE'S THE REASON I STILL DO MARTIAL ARTS TO THIS DAY. I FOLLOWED HIS CAREER AS HE CONTINUED TO CATAPULT TO THE TOP. HE DID BLOODSPORT AND WAS ON MAGAZINE COVER AFTER MAGAZINE COVER. CYBORG, UNIVERSAL SOLDIER, DOUBLE IMPACT, NOWHERE TO RUN, BLACK EAGLE, HARD TARGET, LIONHEART AND SO MANY MORE. THEY CAN SAY WHAT THEY WANT, BUT HE'S THE GREATEST AT WHAT HE DOES AND THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER JCVD. HE'S A LIVING LEGEND. 100 PERCENT SUPREME ACTOR AND MARTIAL ARTIST. HE'S ALSO GOT A GREAT PERSONALITY AND A POSITIVE ATTITUDE. ❤ JCVD ALWAYS.
Well I mean he's no saint. All the little stories about him are true, he did cocaine the years after his big movies. I heard that years ago, now confirmed on these forums. But yes he'd be one of the reasons I got interested back then also.
Growing up without a father he was my rolemodel in the 90's. I was around 10. I wanted to be like him when I got older 😂.
he is an inspiration for millions ... He had some ups and downs , but in his heart , he is a great person...
Amazing, best ever kicks, absolute super. Fantabulous. Years of trainings, making such utmost fantastic efforts to gain that shape, sweating and finally reaching and producing the outcomes what Van Damme really deserved. The technic is awesome, its creation of his own style mixing karate, bodybuilding and ballet. The splits are inimitable. Esteem and respect to the master.
Thank you so much with your kind words !
Jean Claude often don’t get the appreciation he deserves ..
have an awesome day !! 🙏🙏👍
Van is the man ! Loved all his movies !
