Story time kids; I met my wife of 25 years while I was working as a bouncer. It was a fun bar to work at, and I seldom had to be The Tough Guy. In fact we were encouraged to dance, at least once a night. She always danced with me, I wasn't good, but I wasn't a spaz. When we got the chance we went dancing, I loved moving, and she loved to try and keep up. She was a diabetic, we got married a year after we met because she almost died and I was not willing to miss out on a life with this remarkable woman. We had ups and downs, we fought, we made up, we danced. The day came when her illness took away her ability to dance with me, so I danced for her. I made breakfast, I danced and sang along to our faves. I dusted, or vaccuumed, I danced. I danced to this song for her once or twice. She died last month, it's hard to dance now, but I try. It isn't the same without her smiling and encouraging me. But I will dance, probably not well, certainly not well, but I will dance for her. If there is someone you love, dance with them, dance for them, dance for no reason, dance for every reason. But for God's sake, dance for them before they are gone.

This is the first time I have ever posted a blog or anything on the Internet. But I had to this time! And I hope that Justin and others see it. I have loved to dance ever since I was able to walk, so my family says LOL, and my legs were crushed by forklift when I was 30 years old. I worked very hard to be able to walk when the doctors told me I wouldn't be able to, and I proved them wrong! But this is the one song out of so many others that has always lifted my spirits and made me dance more than any other song! And that is something very important to me! So I just want to say thank you so much Justin for this song and to others out there, I hope and pray that it brings as much inspiration to you as it has to me! Love and prayers to you all!

Dancing is the body's way of truly showing what we are made of and how much joy it brings to us!!!
I met his grandad when I was working in a rheumatology office. Sweet man. Now working in home hospice and play this for my patients when they need a boost! I’ve had a bad few months in hospice…moving to another area of nursing. Will not forget the memories with my sweet patients and this song!!
