    I just wanted to thank you like a ton! I went from a 20 on my practice to a 60 the 2nd time, then on my ASVAB that i took 2 days ago I scored an 86 I was told my recruiter about your channel and website too he's definitely gonna recommend it to anyone that's having trouble or worries about scoring well on the ASVAB.

    Generally, most people don't have any issues with Word Knowledge or Paragraph Comp, but here are some free resources:
    www.vocabtest.com/ - If you learn the words in grades 6 to AP senior, that will be 2,400 words in total.
    The bulk of your studying should be for Math Knowledge and Arithmetic Reasoning. Otherwise, you might overwhelm yourself. Hey grammar hero! So I didn’t pass the ASVAB but I scored a 25 . I had a 13 at first so my score did go up . But my problem is arithmetic reasoning. Is there any advice on what I should do ? I’m terrible at math. But I’m supposed to retake the test at the end of this month !

    • @GrammarHero
      @GrammarHero  2 года назад +7

      For arithmetic reasoning, I would do this.
      1. Work through my playlist called A Review of Word Problems for the ASVAB/PiCAT. Here it is: ruclips.net/p/PLhlU-GzAQeG20dUBuaZqmknvmcB_fmhYw
      2. Work through my playlist called Arithmetic Reasoning Practice Tests For the ASVAB/PiCAT (350+ Practice Test Questions) ruclips.net/p/PLhlU-GzAQeG20dUBuaZqmknvmcB_fmhYw
      If you do the above, you should be able to improve your score even more. If you almost doubled your score, then you should be able to get 10 more points to pass. Good luck!

    Man i have a question ” i have short week to prepare for my test on Friday. I took the practice a week before without any studying and I scored a 19 and my strong areas are Gs,Wk,Pc My weak areas is AR,MK. I feel like if I just can score in the high 40 range in these to subtest not only will i pass but ill have a decent job list to pick from. So my question is .. should i learn the formulas to questions that show up the most like percentages and fractions ? Because it seems like i see those more than ratio or anything else

    • @GrammarHero
      @GrammarHero  2 года назад +2

      If you only have a week to prepare, I would consider doing two things:
      1. I would grind through the practice tests in my Math Boot Camp playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLhlU-GzAQeG2ete7N8QjR2dDN_CaIH67z
      and
      2. I would work on learning and memorizing the basic formulas in my reference sheet here: www.asvabapp.com/Reference.pdf
      Good luck!

    Hey Grammar Hero! I have a question regarding simplifying fractions, I'm having trouble figuring out the common factor of a number. Is there something I could learn how to memorize common factors? Maybe multiplication table?

    • @GrammarHero
      @GrammarHero  7 месяцев назад

      You should really have your times tables memorized and be able to do them mentally. If you don't, then reducing fractions will be very challenging.

    so on question number 9 when you divided 125 by 550 n dropped down to get 500 how did you get the 4 for 4.40 im very confused I replayed the video 7 times to understand now im commenting cus ion get it i also have a hard time w division this video was very helpful tho and i appreciate that i just want you to help me understand dat part

    • @GrammarHero
      @GrammarHero  7 месяцев назад

      I used mental math: 100 x 4 = 400 and 25 x 4 = 100; therefore, 125 x 4 = 400 + 100 or 500. You may want to watch my video on long division for more practice! Here it is: ruclips.net/video/T_PqsNiJ1qQ/видео.html
