those laced aluminum wheels were unique to the csr. The ltd's had chrome wires or mags. I remember looking at the 81's when they were in the showroom at Old Dominion Kawasaki in Newport News,Va. and yours looks like it just left there. Beautiful show bike.Glad you kept it stock.
That Grey and Black color combination looks unique and custom. I purchased a 1981 Kawasaki LTD-1000 in 1982 and it was a great bike and super fast. That was before they started making the Crotch-Rocket bikes which I hate. I wish they still made bikes like this. I like the LTD over the CSR because I do not like Spoked wheels and prefer the Mag Wheels.
i have changed the spokes to stainless, but i also have a set of mag wheels for it, i love the speed of this bike dont like the new plastic bikes, my mate had the ltd 1000 i loved that bike
hi tony robins i have sorted the idle out, by removing all the clean air crap that was on it from the factory it was leaking air ,so i blanked the the read valves out and she now runs as sweet as a nut . ruclips.net/video/Hbp-bN5O5-U/видео.html
Beautiful bike. I had an '82 and was a fool to ever sell it. I really miss it and enjoyed the heck out of it. Cheers.

What years did they produce the CSR1000? I had one when I was 19 and am trying to figure out which year model I had. Thanks.
lovely looking bike, idles a bit rough though, could do with tune for smoother running.
