preparing bank and base for gabions

We are trying to make this bank look a bit neater with gabions as the original dry stone wall got too fragile to stay in place & we don't have the skill to rebuild it. It's not a soil retaining wall, its just to make it look better than a naked earth bank.

Gabions definitely aren't the best. It's better to build a wall....
