I think that even the opening is close enough that you know exactly what the clone is shooting for. Maybe I’m optimistic, but I put the opening at about 90% similar. - I agree completely that the dry down is close to 95%.
I’ve got it & it’s beast, very close to my vintage Layton batch. Alexandria fragrance has a great Layton clone that takes away that “Vicks vapor” vibe that’s a better option for date night
I love AF version of Layton(Royal Equestrian).I don't understand why it doesn't get mentioned as a great alternative to Layton plus I think that RE last longer than Detour Noir IMO

What I’ve found is you can get a clone for $50 or a 9ml decant of the real deal for $50 The decant will last a year once it’s in your rotation. (maybe 2 depending on number of fragrance you have) The full size will last SEVERAL years in your rotation and you’ll find something better before you empty it. *but I say this because I’m maxing out at 15 full size bottles and I’m at 11.

I have detour noir, lalique white in black, maison alhambra leyden, and amber oud exlusif bleu. First two are good, near identical. Leyden is okay but has a menthol note I don't like. Amber oud exlusif bleu is definitely the one to get. Long lasting and very high quality.

Yes this is a secret gem I use very frequently it comes in a horrible bottle but I just decanted it into another bottle with a better atomizer anywho the juice is killer’ it’s perfect cause I can limit my usage of Layton

It had to have been reformed, if that’s the review on it now compared to others, mine is not as mentholic in the opening as Layton but mine is easy 95% on and lasts 10+ hrs, projection easily 2-3 hrs. 😕 I’ve had both formulations of Layton.
New? No. Layton killer? Also no. I have both. Detour has the drydown close but that's about at a 70% range. Flat compared to the OG. For the price tho I highly recommend it.
