In case you haven't seen the description, In this animation I wanted to see how the red eyes from the FNaF movie teaser could look in a VHS style video. Please note that this video isn't part of the main series of VHS videos I've done. Hope you all enjoy!
@@Mr.LeoNov Yea i preffer the white dots honestly, but red ones aren't that bad imo. Got used to it with the time ig, cuz i was complaining when the trailer dropped lmao
There's so much high quality FNAF analog horror nowadays that I can hardly keep up with the lore. It's like the passion people feel for this fandom has suddenly spiked tenfold!
I'm pretty confident the movie will do it right. The trailer showed some issues if it were all like that - the red eyes are one thing, but the main issue was the animatronics being very expressive when doing the opposite is why they were unsettling to begin with. A machine making an angry face at you isn't as scary as a mascot approaching with no expression at all. I suspect the movie will use the red-eyed animatronics at first, and they'll be controlled by William or something, and then at some point it'll happen that they're possessed and they won't be pulling any of that, and the juxtaposition will make it that much scarier - this is, again, what the games did. Them not focusing their eyes, moving around while looking blank and lifeless, means them suddenly actually focusing on you - whether with their non-functioning plastic eyeballs or with pinpricks of light floating in unnatural darkness - is far more effective. They still look baked in that poster though. Well except for Bonnie, he looked like that in his in-game poster too.
The part where Chica leaned out from the door genuinely scared me. I haven't gotten scared by a FNaF VHS before and I've seen quite a bit of them. This one was amazing 10/10 you deserve more subscribers!
You perfectly captured how terrifying this situation would be, especially with how cramped the office is here. I would have preferred the eyeless/white pupils look, but that wasn't the goal and I completely respect that. It's bold and, IMO, preferable to try new things even if they don't work out for some people than to stagnate with the same few things. I think the red eyes look a bit silly personally, but I do like the idea. One of the scariest/coolest things in media for me is a cone of light shining in pitch black darkness, especially from glowing eyes or a flashlight on a weapon. I find it tense and it's a really effective way of showing that a threat is actively searching for you. With some work and maybe a different context, I think the big red eyes could make a huge difference in how terrifying FNAF can be. Hell, other animatronics in both official and fanmade games have proven that big solid colored eyes can be effective.
Funny thing is I didn't even think much of the red eyes when I first watched the teaser, then I went to Twitter and saw the meltdown being had over them lol.

I have never been more terrified of a video in so long and at 2:55 I needed a change of pants a little bit. And when the power went out I said "NUH UH" hoping it would help, ngl it did, that ending was a little bit tame ngl.
This was fantastic, well done. I’ll talk about some things I really liked. First of all, this was absolutely terrifying and I love it for that. The reason why it’s so terrifying is because of the tension, the silence, the lack of information. It’s glorious. Ah, let’s see. So let’s start with the tension. I’ll get it out of the way, the protagonist is fucking dumb. And that adds tension and with tension comes fear. It’s clear this guy doesn’t know what he is doing, at least from my view of an avid FNAF player. I kept spotting mistakes that the guy did and kept screaming what he should be doing. The guy did so many mistakes it’s baffling. Well you see, that’s what kept me tense. His mistakes. I knew all the things that he did wrong and I knew that with every passing second the chances of him dying were increasing. With every slip-up I either clenched my teeth and fists harder in fear, or I was yelling what he should be doing. Having a dumb protagonist, but in a way that is not annoying is an amazing way to instill horror. Then, there is the silence. Of course, there was the generator humming and the fan, but this version of the office/building is much more quiet than the original one from the game or from other offices from different videos done by other fans. And this silence also creates tension, but it also makes you feel uncomfortable. There are these big, metal robots possessed by enraged spirits, hell bent on killing you, but the whole place is quiet. It feels... wrong, like you are disturbing a place you shouldn’t disturb, it feels... miscellaneous. Like you are in a Limbo, a static, isolated alternative reality. You should be hearing the stomping of the animatronics, the wind blowing through the many cracks of the ruined, old pizzeria, perhaps even sounds from outside like cars honking, dogs barking, you almost feel as if you could be hearing the haunted noises of the spirits, SOMETHING. But no. It’s silent. Dead silent. Just you, your panicking thoughts, and the absent, almost muted sounds of the decrepit office. That’s dreadful. Creepy. It adds on so much fucking fear and I love it. You know what else it does ? It plays into the absence of information. Which is what I will be talking about in a moment. You can’t hear anything, no clue as to where the animatronics are, or what they could be doing. The silence keeps you in the dark about how safe you are, or the position of the animatronics. It’s creating so much tension. And you get scared and possibly frustrated because you have nothing to work with besides the cameras, nothing to tell you “hey, you are doing ok” or “dude, you’re about to die”. Dead. Silent. Until, unexpectedly, suddenly, the creaking and clicking and groaning of the old machines, the haunted animatronics, echoes throughout the office, like a thunder that came out of nowhere. Solid, metal feet are banging against the ceramic floor and the inner mechanisms of the demons alert you of their presence, although only when it’s too late, leaving you a window of 2-3 seconds to react. They are silent predators, stunning you with loud sounds and fast movements when you least expect it. Then, the lack of information. You conveyed really well the style of FNAF 1, the way you have more questions than answers. Like, why are their eyes red ? Weren’t they normal in the daytime when you saw them on the stage ? It’s... almost mocking. I mean, when they are around lots of people, a bunch of adults and children and security guards everywhere, they look and behave normally. You wouldn’t suspect a thing. But then when it turns night-time, their eyes change, right when you are alone and vulnerable. Scared and at their mercy. Their eyes change and look like demons’ as if showing their true nature, their cursed secrets. It feels mocking, does it not ? Why is that ? Why is that happening ? And why are they so silent anyway ? You can swear you can hear them from a mile away during the day-time, their servos and motors, and all those gears making a ruckus. And yet, now these giant lumbering things, probably waiting a few tons, are as silent as wolves. Again, why is that ? How did Chica come back so fast ? Since Bonnie is so big, and since he was leaning on the window and knocking on it anyway, why didn’t he punch it and reach for the door controls ? Why are they coming after you in the first place ? Is the phone guy’s explanation _really_ that sound ? Why is there limited power ? How is this place still in business ? Again, lack of information. You displayed that wonderfully. Second, the other thing I really liked about this is how Chica appeared so suddenly, it was loud an unexpected. It was creepy as Hell too, the guy was stunned and with the already short time frame for him to react, his hesitation almost ensured his death. And they way Chica then reached under the door, and held it up for a while made my heart drop. Amazing. Third, I really love your take on the red eyes. You made them look very creepy in this version of FNAF 1, and you found the perfect opportunities and techniques to make them look horrifying. I initially thought that BlumHouse’s use of red eyes was the worst idea ever, and my expectations for the FNAF movie are still ruined because of that, but you managed to work with that idea and execute it brilliantly. Incredible use of the red eyes. I have a suggestion; how about you will do the opposite of this video later on (if course, another VHS lost tape) ? Let me explain. Btw, you won’t have to use everything I say, if you want to , you can just gather a few of these ideas and use them. This is inspired by The Hidden Lore episode 3, minute 10:00, so I recommend you watch that after reading this comment to get a clearer picture of what I mean, with some of my added details. So imagine a video in which the protagonist is completing night 5 or 6. And since the protagonist is so far ahead, everything is chaotic. It’s the opposite of this. You can see the animatronics appear on a camera for a literal second (I do mean “literally”, yes) and then just like that they disappear from that camera. And the protagonist is switching through all the cameras to find Freddy, and the animatronics keep appearing on all of them for a moment, and they approaching your office rapidly with every change of the cameras. There are lots of sounds from outside the office, and you can hear their stomping as the enraged spirits march all around the pizzeria, frustrated that they couldn’t get you the whole week. Voice lines that you should be hearing only during the day, during their performance, are blaring from across a few rooms, muffled but very loud. You can hear the sounds of chairs and tables being knocked over and pushed by their big bodies, now the spirits being uncaring for all of this, only focusing on killing you. Golden Freddy/Cassidy is causing lots of hallucinations, which are inexplicably picked up by the camera, haunting images of the animatronics in Memebear’s style falshing rapidly and static being heard and seen, as well as screaming from Golden Freddy. Animatronics are knocking on the doors, slamming into them, relentless and unthinking in their hateful possession. All of their logic is thrown out the window, as they viciously try to get in the office. The protagonist is then shutting doors for a few seconds until the animatronics leave only to then have to close the doors only a few seconds later again, in an exhausting pattern until inevitably, one of them gets the protagonist.

The protagonist is then shutting doors for a few seconds until the animatronics leave only to then have to close the doors only a few seconds later again, in an exhausting pattern until inevitably, one of them gets the protagonist.

@@-_deploy_- I do. What, do you have a problem with me writing about something I enjoy ? I’d love to see you try to write anything similar, of the same quality and of a similar length.
Yeah, exactly, you either don’t want to or can’t. But I can and I want to, so I did. I have the right to talk about things I like.
@ayshinobi2806 heh. It really didn’t take too long, although I could’ve written it much faster if my keyboard wasn’t broken. Besides, I just love sharing my opinion on cool stuff like this

I‘m wondering that if the camera is on hero's hand, then why do Freddy just bite the camera instead of hero's head?

2:54 haa I panic xd
for me it's not the eyes that are the problem, it's the stupid expressions they have in the trailer. squinting eyes with frowning eyebrows? that ain't scary, that's just goofy looking lol. probably why people said they look high. However, I don't think that's the only expression they'll have in the movie.
Of chica and Bonnie
