I don't know...could just be my memory lapsing. I just remember having a VERY strong Top 10 in 2015...and then I felt like my #1 song in 2016 would have a hard time making my Top 8 the year before. Maybe I need to revisit the year...haha A lot of people loved 2016 and didn't like 2015....so maybe I'm in the minority there. Or maybe 2015 was special to me because it was my first year watching so I convinced myself that it was better than it really was...hahaha That's always possible also! ;-p
Well she didn't get the nickname "Iva la Diva" for nothing! Loved her performance so much & it was very professional & too good for Esc. A lot of her European fans were saying she's world class. Iveta well deserved the top 3 position:)
I would love to see her come back to Eurovision to be honest. I remember liking the song but it grew to massive love seeing her perform in the semi-final. I was blown away. It was my biggest grower of 2016. :-D
Can you react to Greece 2011 and 2013?I would like to know your opinion. The singer of 2011 was an amazing perfomer..the way he was singing was so touching.Thank you and...I will be waiting for your reaction!Greetings from Greece I .
Here's the thing...and yes it is weird that I'm not a big fan of Jamala's song. I recognize 1944 as an objectively good, creative and artistic song. I was not pissed when it won but I was not overjoyed either. It has these small nuisances that just...annoy me somehow. It's hard to pin why...I just don't get any joy listening to the song. I'm not a fan of her vocal style and it stresses me out the way she sings. It's the same with Justs "Heartbeat" I get anxious and agitated while listening to either song. I don't know why. I WANT to like them but I just don't. I had the same issue with Netta's "Toy" last year. Obviously I wasn't a fan of the simplistic lyrics but I also got really stressed out listening to the song; it was too loud, in your face, and dynamic for me to to enjoy. Some people like it but...it's not for me. I haven't listened to 1944 since it won in 2016 nor have I had a desire to do so. Now again, I admit that it's a good song objectively...but it's not one that I care to listen to, casually nor seriously. A friend heard her and called her a "screaming banshee"...haha Now I wouldn't go THAT far with it...but I've shared some of the past winners with people and nobody I've sent 1944 to liked the song. Maybe it's a USA thing? I don't know...hahahaha I think that's the best I can explain it...haha
@@TheLethargicSloth and you like Jonida. I wonder whether your taste has changed since, and I am not surprised you haven't listened to 1944 in 3 years, reading your assessment of it. Personally I only liked it afterwards myself.
I'm not & I certainly don't believe it deserved to win:) Quite frankly masses were shocked that it won. It was all the stupid political hype between the Ukraine & Russia; having the public voters for Ukraine going all out & spending so much money to make sure Ukraine got ahead of Russia:(
Best song and performance 4everrr
Iva -diva,

Iveta 😍😍😍 my winner in 2016 !! Tbh i don't think 2016 was weak
