Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) is a must visit place in India. The Thiruvananthapuram International Airport Limited is one of the first ever airports that came in India. Beautiful Airport. Hard-core Trivian. Love Trivandrum ❤
used to land my single-engine AC on all the runways in VOTV. 32-14,10-28 & 05-23. yeah it's a very safe airport. steady winds nearly all year. The last two have vanished now.
@@CloudSkipper I saw that short video. and was really good. But I am requesting a full video😃.It would also be great if you could share some information about VOTV runway lighting and approach lighting systems for flight simulator modeling. Thank you.
@@CloudSkipper Thankyou for this information, I am aware about the lighting system.. All I need is , a good refferal image or video. I need to compare the real and the scenario made by me.
Thanks Captain for the landing video. Can you add markers to the geographical features/landmarks (like in the COK landing) on the approach to TRV. Also do a take off video from TRV to MAA (guessing aircraft passes over the city??)
Thanks for watching...🥰 yes will do that on the next TRV upload which has been pending for a while now . Unfortunately since i dont fly for an indian air carrier i havent dont TRV to MAA...though inhave been to both airports...just not from TRV to MAA
Hai, Captain thank you for uploding this video, Love form Trivandrum. You preferred COK. Yes COK is the best air port in Kerala. With services and infrastructure. But in my observation Trivandrum is the safest Air port in Kerala. Especially during the bad weather conditions. I hope the Adani group will make Trivandrum to the Top😊. Sir this is a small observation from a normal person. I am not a expert about the tecnicalities 😂
Thanks for watching and your views reg COK and TRV....my preference was purely on the runway and approach capabilities haha...also we had a few bird strikes in TRV ..can't really control nature ...poor birds 🐦...they are the rightful fliers .
@@CloudSkipper Ys captain, I have also noticed the huge amount of birds in TRV area. That is because the garbages in outside of the Air Port area. I hope the municipality will take an action for this. Any way how is my native place looking from Sky😄
Lol..my personal view....always preferred COK. CCJ can get nasty during bad weather and add terrain into the equation and a highly unreliable glideslope for RWY 28 especially during the last 300 ft. Always preferred landing rwy 10 in CCJ. TRV wish they had the ILS for 14. Both TRV and CCJ we have to backtrack so it's kind of a pain causing delays . From just scenery POV CCJ would top all the 3
Very well taken video. Wish we could hear the chatter between the cockpit & the ATC which would have made this video even more fantastic. I was expecting to hear the PF saying "Continue" as soon as the PM says "Approaching minimums" but did not hear it (or did I miss it ?)
I had replied to this a few days back but somehow the reply is missing. I guess the phone camera did miss out a few conv especially single callouts....given the PF was sitting on the right side and camera was on the left extreme and speaker vol turned down ...though with the headsets on we can hear each other very clearly .
@@CloudSkipper Thanks for the clarification. Also I would presume that if you were to let us hear the conversation between the cockpit and the ATC, one would be able to identify the airline (which I think you wanted to camouflage in order to protect your identity).
Thanks for watching 🥰...unfortunately CJB is a night destination and I tried once...didn't really come out that well...given its more of a dark night ..Will try to upload anyways
@@CloudSkipper For the next few months, this flight has been pushed to a morning slot (6:20am arrival into CJB). That would make for a lovely sunrise on approach. Looking forward to seeing the video with ATC and thank you so much for your reply!
Watching it this at this time . Were you using the Autothrottle in Manual mode as I heard a slight difference in the thrust just at 60 feet or I think it's the air pressure which is automated in airbus as the cabin pressure automatically starts decreasing as per the altitude
Thanks for watching 🥰We call it the Autothrust in Airbus planes. Autothrust is normally active in most landings unless we switch it off for practise purposes or during any failures. In this video, the Autothrust is ON. So what you hear is subtle thrust changes to keep the approach speed stable and also airbus has something called ground speed mini which is an extra layer of protection to keep a safe ground speed even with changes in wind directions.
Lol...Nice observation...we were a delayed flight that day and if you watched the full video as we were pulling into the gate tower controller advised us of scheduled runway closure ....which was exactly 40 minutes from the time we landed...as usual TRV staff did their best and got us all out within 32 minutes of landing ...to answer your question yeah we wanted to make sure we vacated on taxiway P2 which is the shortest taxi route to stand .
Most airports especially with Air bridges have automatic guidance system (AGNIS or VDGS). You can Google both for more info. Basically the system can see the aircraft and give us the distance to go before we should stop and also guide us to move left or right to maintain centre line....just like a human marshaller does manually.
@@chungusdapilot2567 lol..i have flown 380 but as FO in my previous company ..Nice aircraft..just too many restrictions on ground maneuvering. Thanks for watching 🥰
Hi very good video! Quick question. Did you go for the cadet programme for this airline? If so could you tell me what the experience was like? I heard that Air Arabia MPL is open to all nationalities.
Thanks for watching. As per company policy I cannot say what airline I work for. One thing I do confirm though is that I am not a cadet of the so called school.😉 my advice to you would be to get in touch with actual cadets from the so called school and get their first hand opinion. Never fall for marketing of any school btw....

TRV being a CAT 1 app only approach airfield, has a SALS (simple approach lighting system) with one barret and no center line lights on runway.

Perhaps the landing rate I guess is -260fpm or less than that
Captain after touchdown u went full reverse or 70% reverse with Autobrake LOW .. for quick turnarounds ?
