Been reading this book called ‘Creative Confidence’ and it states this mindset called The Beginner’s Mind. Always be open to learning, doesn’t matter the time, place or age. I feel this video captures exactly why we need that! Great lighting breakdown, Riza :)
Already a new video 5 days after the last! Really cool to see the lighting process behind the videos. I don't know why I assumed you were shooting everything in natural light this whole time, but it makes sense that you would be using lights for certain shots. Love the work, Kariza!
you totally desillusionized me too with this one, i thought you were just blessed with good weather and a nice south/west facing window fdjkasjfl@@LifeOfRiza
Kariza makes you realize that you don't need to go to school to be good at something. Love seeing you win, and keep doing you Kariza. It inspires the rest of us to wake up and do what we love too.
Riza, you are on your way to creating something special with this channel. Everything from the visuals to the storytelling - this is art. If you ever produce a course on your color grading process, I'll be the first to register!
You are too humble, you are good at your craft and the same way you are looking up to people, be aware that people are looking up to you too! I love the atmosphere of your videos, the angles of your shot and most importantly the time you take to improve this because people watch that video in those few minutes but mostly I think a lot of people dont realise the time and effort it takes to reach that level of filmmaking! Keep up the good work!
Every vid you put out has a story to tell and something I learn from each time 😢 Thank you, Riza! (The lighting design is just amazing at how it looks so natural)
everytime I watch your video it gives me calmness and giving me this kind of feeling that I should keep moving forward in life. you have this energy that can motivate a lot of people. thank you, riza!!!
Hi Kariza 👋, I think that being a lifelong student (especially with a curious and open mind) is one of the best things we can do with our lives, and I’m so glad I learned I can do just that. It’s even more worth it when we choose to enjoy the experience and/or make the best of it while we can. Sending you lots of love!!! ❤️❤️❤️🤗
Lifelong student? More like lifelong curiousity-cat!😆Couldn't agree more, I used to rely on school to teach me, but now I understand the key of learning Is just like a mental playground!
At 78 years of age, every time I think that I have something nailed, it is pointed out to me (sometimes less gracefully than I would prefer) that I haven't. You never stop learning. Love your videos and your insights.
Seeing the light, and learning! What a poetic mix of topics. I'm captivated by your ability to tell smaller stories within a short story timeline. The outro scene, shot up towards backlit clouds with the various lights in the background. A few time-lapse jumps in cloud motion naturally highlight that not everything is perfect, and can be improved.
To be honest I only discovered your channel about a month ago but somehow your videos make me feel like I know you like a friend lmao. You seem so real and genuine, and I think that's a hard thing to achieve in this day and age of RUclips, social media, etc. Thanks for your incredible videos and I can't wait to see more in the future!
Kariza your videos are an inspiration! I have watched them twice over and I still want to see them again. You are so talented and an inspiration to us filmmakers out here who are just starting out. Thank you for sharing your talented cinematic artworks in the world.
Absolutely love it! Lighting is one of the hardest things for me, an excellent composition is nothing without lighting! And your message about always learning, my mum even tells me, "Even if you become the best, there is always something to learn". It is such a strong message, this video was an inspiration and a reminder to always keep on learning! ❤
Riza, you've inspired me so much with your videos that I started my own thing here on YT too. After seeing your style of storytelling and growth on the platform I believed again that it's possible to create nice videos and get people to appreciate it. P.S. 2 videos in a week? Best week ever haha 🥰
Ciao Felipe 🙋🏽 Hi, mi chiamo Gloria. I was interested and clicked on your comment cos of your name. I'm Nigerian but I've been learning Italian for the past few months now, cos I fell in love with the language and honestly have it in my life plan to move to Italy sometime by 2026 for my Masters. Also, I checked out your videos and wow, they're really nice!!😊 Riza has also inspired me to start filming and documenting my life. I find myself experimenting filming from multiple angles to create mini vlogs, but with just my phone and natural lighting, there's only so much I can do. But, I plan to use what I have for now and keep learning. Next year, I'll start posting to RUclips too. Can we be friends?😃
I love your content, your humor, your way of filming, and your music, sounds you mix. Truly Find your videos informative, motivating and entertaining. Love it. 😊
I love this video!! I have always stayed in my little bubble “trying” to learn and take more steps to what I want but, I never actually try. Ur videos are always inspiring! Thank you 🫶🏼✨
I hope so in future there will be will be more non sponsored content, cause I came on her channel because of her stories, not because of stories about products, tho.
But those sponsored ones has her story. She is a video maker, cameras and lights are a huge part of her day and in the ende she teach us a lesson, never stop learning. To me this all makes a lot of sense. @osjosipajurjastrossmayera2010
I repeat, I didn't prepaid on her channel to watch stories about products. I want to watch her personal stories, aboslutely free from comercials, like they were in a begginig. At least, I hope so in a future she will make them again, cause last 6 video were paid ones. No freedom there (just money). She should choose to make at least one where she would be absolutely free. That is non forced art and that's why I am here. @@Sarah3418
@@osjosipajurjastrossmayera2010She made one called "All You Have to do Is Start" which was unsponsored. The sponsored videos have a story too, the products are just one part of it. Plus, these videos are art which take lots of time to make, when she can be working as a freelancer instead, and RUclips AdSense does not pay much to her because most of her audience is young people who are not from western countries. I personally am okay with her adding a relevant sponsor into her video because it benefits her and she makes a story independent of the products
You're already amazing as you are but it's also so admirable that you consistently work on improvement. Hope I can work with you one day! You need to let us know when you get a cinematography gig.
I'm recently thinking a lot about fraze " where I whant to be". And more I think about it the more my road disappears. What I wanted to say that for me Instead of" where I whant to be" I say " how I whant to go " 😊👋. Your work is amazing. Really inspiring and there is so many things to learn from you. I like the tone of your speech. Not too loud, pushy. Really pleasent to listen ❤.
I love learning...I'm always trying to find new things to get creative with, for example. It's the main reason I started up my RUclips channel again! Great video. I must check out those lights!
3 things: 1. Can relate to the fact that you’re not really progressing when being busy with clients and other projects. So important to take the time to learn new things. 2. Ketchup on everything! 3. Amazing content. You are super inspiring
the vibes i feel after watching a kariza video is immaculate. its all more calm, mindful, peaceful and motivational from then🫶🏽 thank you for the amazing work you are contributing to the world out there, you're going places nevee stop doing what u do🤎
night to day shots are always so fun to watch!! anyway love some of your insights about freelancing and just generally love your content, makes me appreciate a lot of things like being in film school more :]
Another banger 🔥🔥 Your videos are so anti “RUclipsr” that it’s cool to know that you can succeed on RUclips with pleasing cinematic and storytelling that’s chill and genuine 💙. keep inspiring us 👍
I gotta admit that I've been feeling stuck in terms of my skills. Mostly because I've been too tired and lazy to try learning new things 😞 Watching this video is reminding me that it's never too late to learn new things. I just gotta be brave enough to try and embrace failures and mistakes.
Hahaha Kariza this was funny!!Love when you add more personality and wit to the videos. I loved the message, love that you keep learning- super inspiring!
I used to think, if it's not broken then don't fix it. However, that really did keep me stagnant and stopped me from growth, as I didn't try to learn something new and change. The biggest negative was that I would be bored as well from the constant sameness. Lately, I have pushed myself from my comfort zone and experimenting more, embracing the awkward phase of not know if something will work 😌
I can't imagine I subscribed to your channel in May this year when you had 16K subscribers! Just so crazy how time passes. Congratulations on this huge growth Riza!
Four years in doing RUclips and I found your channel recently because I was looking to learn more about how to film by myself.. ALWAYS a student. Keep up the great work 🙌
Your videos are gorgeous! Super inspiring! I found your channel recently because I wanted to learn how to make my own silly little vlogs more cinematic and beautiful and have been binge watching you videos ever since :) I love how you tell stories! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
lol okay okay id say yes I have done it a few times idk why it just was a taste adjustment. And keep being amazing and humble as can be =)! Glad everything worked out Riza!
Great video! Lighting has been something I'm trying to improve especially filming in the UK. The gloomy weather makes natural light difficult to grasp. Thanks for the helpful tips! 🥰
Hey Kariza! I just want to say that I absolutely love you videos. They inspire me to go back and do the things that I really want to do. I'm happy to let you know that I am writting again and hopefully shoot these shots and create films again, like I did back when my reality are just exams and allowance.
INCREDIBLE video as always! I've been wanting to get more into filming and the shots in this video are just amazing! Also, I can imagine you having to go back and forth to set up your camera before each shot lol
ketchup on mac and cheese or no????
Nope.
Noo
For my first mac and cheese, I added tomato sauce. Highly recommend. ^_^
Down to try anything. Ketchup on eggs is good so why not 🤷🏼♂️
Salt and pepper, but not ketchup, please... :)
"can we eat now" after a long day of filming is so relatable 😂

Always amazed how you film a simple story like an art.
You make it look seamless and easy!
