Hi Jae! Six days sober😀. I’ve been listening to you for quite sometime now and thinking about getting sober. You are really encouraging and so is this audience. My skin already looks better, sleep is still a little restless. I’m so glad you warned us about replacing drinking with another bad habit. I want to eat more! I spent today getting light exercise and much needed stretching. It even cleared a bit of brain fog.
I suffer from psoriatic arthritis and the blunt fact is that alcohol will wreack havoc on the joints. If I don't stay the sobriety course, which is certainly why I'm here... again, I'll deform and destroy my joints.
I beg you, if you have an auto immune disease please abstain from alcohol.

Thank you for this. I have been waffling back and forth with binge drinking daily for the past 4 years and have been drinking consistently since I was 21. I am turning 47 next week and boy do I feel lucky I still have my health and a chance to turn things around. Although I have been fairly active and semi fit through much of my drinking career, once I turned 40 I noticed a big decline in my health and overall well being. I have made 60 days before and then felt like I earned a drink, but watching this has given me a new focus on getting sober. Thank you thanks for all the love.

@@GettingSoberAgain Nothing worth telling. Far too much drinking for 20 years. Bar cronies, day drinking, and secret drinking. I have a job that allows me to travel often, and I was using that ability to just go to FOREIGN bars, hang with FOREIGN bar cronies and drink during the day. A couple of months ago, I woke up feeling like a hungover beached whale, and finally saw it was time to stop. I got that Easy Way to Quit drinking book, and was looking through RUclips for affirmation, and up you popped. I ain't out of the woods, but the cravings have really lessened and I'm up and walking and biking. Anyway, thanks. Your stuff is great.

SO, I had to go back and re record the ENTIRE THING, but this time it took 29 minutes, and I edited it down to the 15 minute beauty that you have here =)

Thank you to you and King 13/Debs for the incredible zoom! I was cohost and sorry, I didn't know what to say so was quiet!
I started drinking at 48 years of age. I had a successful life as a fitness professional and had done 20 years of therapy for my childhool. At 48, shit hit the fan in my house with various life-changing anxiety-flocked events. I am an addict and have been 20 - 30 years away from hard drugs. I'm a winner! Now I'm 6 months without alcohol, too. My sobriety and recovery feels different from others. I've compared and most people are dealing with childhood issues, while I am not. Events triggered my gene and opened the door to heavy use. I feel I'm on par with those in recovery/discovery for years, but am conscious of being over-confident. I'm looking for people with the late-in-life blooming.
Thank you so much Jae - you are brilliant and you glow. :~D

I’ve been watching your videos for a while after 14 years of heavy drinking on and off, eventually it became a daily thing affecting my relationships and how I would express myself. For some reason, lately I’ve been feeling “tired of being tired” and yesterday I felt a rush of emotions out of nowhere and that made me realize that every time that I have a strong feeling I would grab a drink (positive or negative). It’s the first time in years that I’m acknowledging my feelings without suppressing or enhancing my feelings with alcohol. Three days sober, one day at a time.

I'm liking your comments! "do it until it's normal".
I might have to request normalizing commenting on our videos everyday until it's normal lol
