Thanks for the review. I was one of the unlucky canceled target customers, so I ended up buying this KO and also the Baiwei one. The baiwei one is Ok loose joints, etc. but no way near the Ss102 KO. I just bought toyhax stickers to add autobot symbols and put a little lubricant on tight joints. That did the trick. Mine though is all silver metallic painted and not solid grey pieces like yours. I love the paint apps better than the SS 102 and the price point. F@!k Hasbro.
there is no Target in my area cuz I live in another country and it sucks for SS102 being target exclusive so I bought the KO one and my version has all grey parts painted in metallic grey. turns out it's one of the early versions because the paint chips when articulated too much, that's why they removed the paint to make it very similar to SS102 but still hasn't have the autobot insignia lol
Honestly I think ss38 is one if not the best studio series Optimus prime figures Because the truckbed is better than ss102 plus everything from vheicle mode just becomes hidden in robot mode
I was able to get my hands on the official SS102 from Nerdzoic’s online toy store on December 1 2023 when he had a limited stock of them and I received him six days later on December 7 2023. Nerdzoic would get more limited stock of the SS102, but as you all know, they sold out very quickly.
That’s a really good prime voice lol I need practice. Lol I really liked this video it’s very funny. I like 102 better. I can just repaint him. I like the tight canon so I can animate it spinning without it falling off.
i waiting for baiwai ko optimus beacuse he will have more stuff like two swords axe and canons. But also he will have improved transformation of back of the truck
I had to resist this one, this one's being sold for $12.59 in my country and its already the metallic version. Will just wait for the Baiwei TW1030 because of the accessories and better truck bed.
@TaterbotShow @thecartofvideos4766 it should as they are indeed the same mold and size, but the tolerances and clearance are much worse on the KO and I'm concerned with both how long it will last and actually installing the kit on the KO
i have the KO too and all the grey parts were silver, I believe it’s because the joints were very tight on the first variant so they decided to remove the silver paint to fix the issue but i’m pretty sure you can still buy the silver variant for a little bit more price
