More fun facts about Rhode Island: 1. Foghorn Leghorn, the chicken from Looney Toons, is a Rhode Island Red (the state bird of RI) 2. 173 Rhode Islands fit into the state of Texas 3. Rhode Island is the only state that still celebrates Victory Over Japan Day
I can't believe someone in the US didn't know Rhode Island was a state. What are they teaching in school nowadays? When I was in grade school (4-5th?) , it was a requirement to learn and remember the names of each state and even their capital. The presidents too! What's going on at school??
Wow. The notification woke me up. And woah babycakes trust me I pressed on the notification so damn furiously that I think I almost shattered my glass screen. Awesome video babycakes.
I may not live in Rhode Island personally, but I do live in Southeastern MA so I traverse in an out of Rhode Island constantly. It's a place Im very familiar with for this reason, know it like the back of my hand.
I'm from Delaware, and folks seem to forget about us all the time, too. Folks generally think we're a city in Ohio over being an actual state, man. You outta swing down this way - us small-staters gotta stick together.
Gotta say, I knew about Rhode island, but now, I feel like I got to learn about Rhode Island on a more sensual level. This was a life changing video dawg
Nice! representing our little state! Next time you're in RI you should do a video on Newport. Remember when we went on a field trip to Marble House Mansion?
SoloTravelBlog you're not imagining it! It was Danny Tedeschi! I remember him taking a brick as a souvenir. Fortunately it was one of the bricks that had already fallen. That Mansion was crazy, though! I remember it had 18-karat gold ceilings and Swarovski crystals chandeliers if I'm remembering correctly.
i feel like if people don't live right near or in rhode island they don't know rhode island exists. that and that rhode island was the place where everybody from puritan town got kicked out for not being puritan enough lol
My friend, how could you, a channel dedicated for discussing unique foods among foreign cultures, forget to mention Rhode Island's signature COFFEE MILK? It's like chocolate milk, but coffee flavored, and is regarded as the "State Drink" of RI. Quite honestly, it's one of the only reasons to come here.
Rhode Island... Home of the dried ass old husk of HP Lovecraft, where the people hanging out by the Foxy Lady have that Innsmouth look about them, if you get what I am pushing. The turd in the punch bowl Puritans up here in my native metro Boston area used to refer to Rhode Island as "The Infidel Colony" which is pretty fuckin' rad. Now I send mail to TF Green Airport, Warwick, The Infidel Colony. I am pretty damn sure I am now on a list somewhere.
THANKS babycakes for these BUCKWILD facts of Rhode Island. The mere thought of dropping these knowledge bombs on my next unsuspecting date makes me AFNAR as fuuuck.
Armenians aren't white tho. And greece, portugal and italy are mediterranian countries. People from Portugal and italy would even be whats called latino in america. So sounds like very few verieties of the white kind just saying.
I don't know much about what is considered white or not. But as someone who is latino I would never call an Italian person latino. In fact, I've never heard of such a thing although I might be wrong.
SoloTravelBlog Hmm, im not 100% but its borders touch the mediterranian sea. My point though is that it's south enough to be brown. In europe, or atleast i don't really classify them as something diffrent as a european myself but south america is pretty much all decendants to Portugal and Spain. The name latino is because they used to speak latin there.
Well i think all "romantic language countries" with strong ties to latin are latino. The word latino however is pretty much only used in America to my knowledge and Italy didn't really colonise south america like portugal and spain.
Woah, some ignorance happening here. First of all, latino is used by pretty much everyone with a latino heritage, it is used widely in Europe (where I live). Second of all, latino as I would use it has nothing to do with latin as a language, that's Roman, as you said. Latino to me means 'people of latin America' e.g 'South America'. Most 'brown' people in Spain and Portugal are a mix of the native South-Americans and the (I think) white colonists. (Although I would not hesitate to call any spanish talking person latino lol). Lastly, Portugal definitvely does not border the mediterranean sea. EDIT: To clarify, this is my personal view on the issue, I might be wrong on a few points but I wrote this without fact-checking to just give my feelings on the subject. From my perspective Italians are not Latino.
My favorite type of pasta and my favorite Italian sauce. I approve. South/North Carolina and Massachusetts supposedly have longer names, but I don't trust these racist facts.

This video isn't really about food. But since you bring it up, coffee milk is quite common in Japan and Korea, therefore it isn't on my radar screen
Oh wow I had no idea. And here I thought it was unique.
