NICE REVIEW! Coming off a Model 3 lease, I picked up a '24 i4 edrive 40 in RWD, I opted not to get the AWD version since I'm in Southern CA. I have to tell you, in 3 weeks of Ownership and driving it 900 miles, this car is SO MUCH better than the Tesla. It still packs a punch at 335 HP and plenty of torque. And the best part, it's a BMW and handle's like a dream

The car states 3.7 but i hit 3.5 0-60 in sports mode. The base msrp is 69k with all bells and whistles it will hit 77 K US dollars. That includes the drive , parking , music , heads up display , and heated steering. Slow charging means 10 hours for complete charge. And in the US they offer 2 years of free charging with respective vendors in respective areas.
The TESLA chargers work on these and super chargerul be happy with in a 20-30 min session. The wheels are 18 or 19...19 are preferred and get tire/wheel protection if u can.which means they replace rim n the tire if damaged and 3 general services are already covered for LEASES. LASTLY THE battery is 8 year or 100,000 miles warranted
Great review! But you didn't mention the price. So I searched and it costs 71 thousand euros, the et5t offers the same thing only with battery replacement, better design, better level of autonomous driving, more leg room, and many other things, but the icing on the cake is that it is also cheaper by more than 20 thousand euros. At this price, I find the i4 quite out of touch with reality.
Yes, a really high price tag! The car tested costs even more than that. 1000000 SEK or 75k Euros
It's interesting that in Sweden the price is even higher than in Germany, while at nio the price in Sweden is several hundred dollars cheaper... Maybe it's related to the strengthening of the Swedish currency...🤔
Buy a chinese Nio then if money is your main concern. I am soo happy with my M50, worth every penny imho.
Have you tried to push it a bit, closer to track driving? Guess the hankooks aren't good enough when pushing it that much? Or do you have the staggered sportier setup?

They really should have gone the extra mile and make a frunk. But I would love an automatic hood, so you can easily access the frunk, that can be open with your key or app.

This is one of my favorite car. Plus favorite color.. after the matt blue of i4 of course!! I wish BMW makes the touring version of this though!!
The color is absolutely stunning, especially in a bit of a sunshine..a touring would be great for some more space. But I5 coming soon..
The 4 series is never made as Touring. I5 will come as Touring as will the 3-series in time.

I have heard all from 175-185 cm maximum lenght in backseat.
You mentioned 180 cm. Is that in a good way or a maximum lenght to sit there?
I am 1 cm shorter than you and every other week i have my two kids in The car, one is 157 and The other one 167 cm.
Nice purchase! Up to 180 will be fine in the back seat according to me. So your kids will be fine for a good time. Let's hope they don't get as tall as their dad for a while. 😂😂

The just need to make this as a touring and Its a winner.
If you switch to B mode, you have one pedal driving. So this is not a minus. Also you have the 2022 model, I bought the 2023 without the gear switch witch is more appealing and it has idrive 8.5

This is really my issue with sites that claim to do "a full review" and miss something as basic a feature as this, especially in an EV when one pedal driving is a feature some folks consider an important function of the car. Not to say that this wasn't a good video, and it highlighted things pretty nicely, it's just hard to fully review something when you don't live with it on a day to day basis, and likely had it for a few hours or days.
@nickvaughn7300 I agree. Did have the car a couple of days and that's not enough. Normally I drove them for one week. My bad.
I was thinking BLACK Exterior color with RED interior. But this Green is So good... might go GREEN Exterior and Brown Interior like a TREEE
Yes, very organic and down to earth color choise. Red/black will look a bitore sport though.

If I recall correctly I södontbthink you can change the color of of the button backlighting only the ambient lighting..

Sorry, if you want always drive with 4 tall adults, you have to buy another car. For me, with 2 young children, the backseats are perfect. That is a Coupé!!!! The most of the time, I drive alone to my office.

Thought the same! Works wonder with short-medium height ppl (up to say 185cm) in the back. Also depends how the driver sits, for this instance u sit as if u were taking a nap or a gangster riding an american car😅 most ppl sit more upright so knee room becoms more spacious for the backseat
