I saw Quo 5 times in 1972/73, 4 gigs @ Croydon Greyhound, South East London where they were the first to charge the 3,000 crowd £1 for the gig, and once @ The Orchid, Purley where 1/.2 the audience came for Quo, and the other half for Slade. At one Croydon gig they played 5 encores including a 7 part medley while "paying their dues" lol
I used to work on that estate at the beginning of the video. It’s the Acorn Estate in Peckham, quite notorious back in the 80’s but had a good community feel to it despite its reputation
The first song they did that Francis was looking for was Sweets for my Sweet. Jess recorded on his reel to reel tape recorder. I went to school with them and used to go round to Jess's house to watch them rehearse. They were The Spectres then.
Most bands will tell you their best memories are their early gigs when they were finding their feet, before fame. Special time when you're young and ambitious.
Nice reminiscing brothers so great it is when older people once said time waits on no one and time goes by fast no kidding ah boys and which fellow alan passed
2 copains d'enfance qui ont monté un groupe puis l'un deux s'est fait virer du groupe par son ami d'enfance 😢. J'ai beaucoup d'administration pour franck rossi mais je trouve ce qu'il a fait c'est vraiment degeulasse😢
R.i.p Alan, what a lovely guy
This was just fantastic to watch!

What do you mean edit it out,you kicked 7 kinds of sh-t out of him 😂😂
You can tell Alan has heard all Francis' banter before 😅😅😅
Me mum would’ve been like that with me if I’d been a success.
Great that they settled the differences which lead to the band splitting up.
👍
Alan and francis went to school together.

He did the dirty on Alan right after Live Aid

I agree with you two but they remained friends, which is a good thing.
Actually they didn’t remained friends. They didn’t speak for many years before they finally cleaned up the air and found back together as mates.
Beckenham
Alan looked frozen
How arrogant of Alan to remain seated during the entirety of the video…
I get it. You’re making fun of his height.
