“We reject fringe elements…But when the Prime Minister himself is making these statements, what will you say?” asked Usman Gani, former chief of the BJP Bikaner minority cell, in an interview with Newslaundry, hours after the Rajasthan Muslim leader was ousted from the saffron party.
Gani was referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement at a political rally in Rajasthan - calling Muslims “infiltrators” and those with “more children” - which the opposition alleged was “hate speech” in violation of the model code of conduct.
Days later, Gani criticised the anti-Muslim speech in an interaction with News24. He also said the BJP will lose in three-four Lok Sabha constituencies. The four-minute video clip was widely circulated on social media, although the news outlet deleted it from its RUclips channel. The next day, Gani was expelled by the BJP for “besmirching its image”.
In this conversation, Gani delved into the challenges of being a Muslim leader in the BJP, the implications of hate speech from the party top brass, centralisation of power, and the denial of tickets to established leaders by the BJP.
The politician who began his political career with the ABVP, the BJP’s student wing, also spoke about why he joined the BJP, the space of dissent within the party, its strategy to woo Muslim voters and the lack of minority representation.

What opened my eyes is, beef export from India skyrocketed under BJP. 6 out of the 10 exporters are run by Hindu upper-caste people.
I voted for BJP, genuinely because I thought they will do good things for poor Hindus.
Such as:
- Renovation and painting works for Temples.
- More Annadhanams per week or month for the poor people(Hindus/All)
- Increasing Hostels and Orphanages for Hindus
But What we got?
- Hindi imposition
- Ram Mandir, zero productive value for me
- 2 useless Boeing Aeroplanes for Ji
- Loss of Govt jobs to Adani and Ambani
- Meat ban on "Auspicious" days (WTF, I an an upper-class Hindu who enjoys meat, and my Hinduism is not Sanatana)
- Beef ban in many states. But for export its OK?
FYI, there are many Non-Sanatani Hindus. We are pre-vedic Hindus, we don't believe in Vedas and the other made up crap.
Also, they received enormous electoral bond from beef exporting company.
“Al Kabeer” is an indian beef exporting brand famous in Middle Eastern countries
It is owned by a Jain who is slaughtering cows and selling to the middle east.
Yes during BJP rule all other beef exporters are troubled so the competition for Jain/ Al Kabeer is less and automatically their buying of the livestock is cheaper maximising their profits.
So this is just business and neither helping to Muslims nor Hindus 😜

Anyone who believes in the ideals and values of our Constitution and its principles should be vocal about any act that violates its basic principles. Such 'hate speech' is quite common these days, and most of it comes from staunch supporters of the BJP. This individual, despite being a BJP supporter, has the capability to speak out against the hate speech of the party supremo, which is laudable. I couldn't understand and appreciate his motivation to remain with a party which has gravitated towards polarisation in a big way since 2019..looks like his job was only to cut votes and dent chances of others.. and even now he isn't telling his mind out clearly..he brushed aside a lot of questions saying they are being done for political reasons, but the poison spread in the country is also because leaders like him are looking the other side when such things happen..
