Wow. Now I know why their first album songs are significantly faster than their demo variants.
Really, you can try to listen demo songs (demo1-demo3) then put them at 1.25 speed and listen again and you will hear how they become so close to the final variants.
wow it was really cool to hear this story. SOAD is my all time favorite band. really wish they could get along and make more amazing music together
The story about Andy's dismissal from the band was a lot more interesting than simply him breaking his hand, never knew court was involved.
To us, all we knew was that Andy broke his hand in a martial arts accident, that was what Andy himself claimed in a Reddit AMA.

So many songs wouldnt have been made, so they wouldn't have been as big
john has all jazz influence, while andy was a tighter style for metal
he was a great solid hard beating drummer , but they weren't going along as friends with him, i think they would have eventually fired him and search for another drummer if it wasnt john.
