People say I'm crazy for watching gameplay without someone to narrate and visually interact with while watching the game being played, but I guess they just don't understand (one) how nostalgia works; (two) how amazing it is to watch the intricate games I love, from when I was a kid (Kingdom Hearts; Crash Bandicoot; Jak and Dexter; Whiplash; Zelda: Ocarina of Time; Super Mario 64; etcetera), and explore their worlds and take-in the sights, a lot of which I have not seen because I didn't make it past most of the levels in most of these games. This allows me to take a walk through my childhood and expand upon my nostalgia, almost as if I'm adding more depth to a nostalgic memory as I explore it within my mind, unlocking more to the memory in a way that couldn't be possible unless I were actually able to go back in time and almost relive the moments I remember. Between the excellent making of the game and the satiation of curiosity with the privilege of playing the game vicariously through (most times) an expert player, I think the experience skates' past crazy and into euphoric.

It's funny because they hid them so stupidly in this and the levels are bullshit long, it's sucks reaching the end and finding out you have to start all over to get 1 or 2 boxes. This game could've been so much better
I love how this game canonically took decades to come out as if Cortex needed all this time to grow up from being a baby in 3 to a adult again. It's not a 1 to 1 ratio sure but it's kind of interesting

I just bought Crash and Spyro trilogy. Thought it would be a blast from the past but I have to say that so far, I’m not enjoying crash 1. Controls feel dodgy as hell. I’ll keep playing a bit and hope it gets better. If not, I may move on to 2 or 3

I’m an adult that stop playing games 10 years ago but I was a big fan of the crash games during my childhood and I think this is how a direct sequel should look like. I only have one complaint. I don’t quite like how the double jump animation looks. The slide into a jump was probably everyone’s favorite move in the original crash games and so I think they tried to make the double jump animation kinda look like that but it just doesn’t work for me. Aside from that, the game looks great imo and I’d probably buy my nephews this game after I pick up the N. Sane trilogy for them.

I grew up with the first 3 and was surprised at how hard the 4th one was but how the graphics and gameplay have evolved that really blew me away!
