I could not disagree more. Sherman is a classic. sherman is a utilitarian wheel, if it is not needed... its not on there. Max takes that to the next level, it is able to maintain close to same top speed with much needed low end toque.
I think most sherman riders, including myself, really liked the sherman frame and casing. The only thing most of us would like them to change are (as you said) the 3.5mm jacks for the front and back lights which are really bad. Higher torque and bigger batteries is the only thing most sherman riders could ask for in an upgraded version. It's not going to be for everyone to upgrade, it's just to keep it relevant and keep riding on the wheel's success so far. I just hope the software is better, with less pedal dipping and a 'harder' hard mode, but other than that, I'm glad they kept the exact same frame, because it's really solid, the plastics may not be pretty but they are resistant to falls, and it's so nice to customize the wheel to your liking. Flat panels to stick anything you want, and the crashbar to add accessories. I would rather veteran comes out with an easy upgrade like the MAX to keep the sherman relevant in the current market, and keep their engineer's focus on their next wheel to avoid doing the same mistakes they made with the Abrams, and make a next wheel that people actually want to buy. Now it's wait and see to know if the software in the MAX is an improvement over the sherman or a downgrade. So far from the demos I've heard both sides, some people prefer it to the original, some people like it less. You've also got to realise that even the normal sherman, between the first and last gen, there is a HUGE software difference. As a last gen rider, I hate the first gen software, and people who are used to the first gen usually hate riding my sherman because it feels so different. It mostly depends on what you're used to.
Hi bro thank you first of all to be always around I appreciate that. What you are saying I completely agree but they don’t do this for actual Sherman owners let’s say if I had a Sherman that I loved why would I buy a wheel that is so similar to my actual one?? I love the cage and should be there but why not the same store that in Abrams? Why not making a proper trolley? This is not focusing on future wheels this is just easier to maintain all the same on the outside bro
I have the sherman max and very happy with it. Almost 1500km in 2 months. I agree with you they should have upgraded the lights on the sherman max like the Abrams. Built quality on the max is much better than previous sherman. Plastic is much better feel and thicker
The Abrams and Sherman Max are perfect for bigger guys that need extra oomph and power to get going. I love my Abrams, but it is large and harder to steer, that's why I can't wait to get my hands on the Sherman Max. It should be arriving in about 2 weeks.
Hey Marcos, glad you're back and releasing some quality videos! I really like the idea of the Sherman Max! Higher torque, longer batteries, wider stronger rim, etc. are great improvements. I also, think the improvements should have addressed the older issues as well, just like you mentioned! Let's hope the V13 will be amazing and prove everyone wrong!
Hi man.. I have my opinion based on facts: same structure better motor better internals but same crap material like bad handle cage all around the wheel lights plugged with mini jacks and beside all this that I gave my opinion I had to the context that guys that test the Sherman max and ride also the original Sherman preferes the Sherman NOT THE MAX. maybe you just heard that part from the video but if you see all the video you will get what I’m saying. Hugs
@@MADpack so it’s not more performance? I’m confused performance and range is what I’m looking for it checks all my boxes if it can deliver performance
Not talking about power or range what they told me is that the ride on the normal Sherman was better obviously we will get more power on this and more range im talking about feeling the same as the commanders That I hated the ride of the Commander high torque
@@MADpack These are also a potential problem, albeit one more readily solved than the basic design of the wheel and (poor) choice of materials and specification of same. It’s a long way behind the Sherman in these respects.
I think a lot of people liked what you did not about the sherman (the front head light, the back head light, etc), so this may explain why you don't get why they didn't change that on the sherman Max. I do not own a sherman, but from what I hear the tire is more square than other tires and thus doesn't carve or turn as easily. Therefore, have you tried a street tire on the sherman? Or a more rounded wheel if possible? This may solve your issues with the handling and turning of the wheel. All my thoughts are a hypothesis, but probably the company had no desire to change the lights, form factor, etc., on the Max because people liked it, and they just want to focus on most complained about weak points (rim, torque, etc). I have a preorder in for the sherman max. It will be my second wheel. I'm really looking forward to it. Thanks for the video!
I get what your are saying and yes they need to address does issues but like we say in Portuguese “the eyes also eat” so I wanted that on the outside we can see improvements… people always talked how hard is tomou back per example the cage.. everyone always talked about mini jack makes no sense mini jacks are not waterproofing parts. They have not changed the case and outside look because is cheaper to just continue to use same shell and same cage per example. About the tire yes should help but in the end this happen also because the wheel is heavier on the top
If similar to original Sherman is good but 2 years later new version I wanted they focus in details because wheels are so mature now that we just want better constructions and options like connectors of light into the wheel mini jack is just dumb
I couldn't disagree more I love my sherman.....my Abrams broke 20 min our the box.....I also rode the max an loved it honestly felt more stable I didn't even feel the extra weight. ...not worth the upgrade but a solid wheel but yes they could have made more upgrades
i'm sorry but this is complete bs. How do you compare the sherman max? you haven't ridden it to compare. I've talked to alexutlang hes on youtube. watch his videos, he ha the new max. It has bigger battery, bigger motor, wider rim, and its pedals are also higher than the older Sherman. please don't post false information online. Leaperkim introduced the max to compete with the begode's new line of RS HT wheels. Its all business. competition drive innovation.
Have you seen the video? Because your comment makes no sense. Straight away in the beginning I’ve said that this video was about… Abrams vs Sherman + some thought about the Sherman max … and no there is no cause information never done and will never do that. But don’t worries the Sherman max will be at my place and will be tested for a Long period of time… have a great day
Sherman has always been the wheel I really wanted to try but have not had the chance to. Between those two I still think I would adapt quicker and love the Sherman. They both have an amazing look. The frame, although it adds extra weight, looks awesome seems to confer a bit more robustness. Thanks for another good video, bro.
Max is a better Sherman but with same look to 2020… will be better inside but not on the outside (making a new design require cost) and the ride should be inferior when curving since is heaviher
@@MADpack I don't plan on "curving".. just street riding the thing everywhere. I think it will be a good main wheel. My RS HS will be backup. What do you think?
I ride a Sherman and it’s still boss plus upgrade the firmware ain’t nothing wrong with the Sherman it’s because of that wheel it made all the other companies work hard and became more innovative to create better wheels that have come out now. But they aren’t better than the og Sherman imo
Why change one of the most popular wheels ever. If ain't broke don't fix it. If sales slumped and Sherman didn't do very well then there would be cause for change.
Fair enough bro but 2 years later not improving lights, connections of the lights, trolley handle so cheap, not a Bluetooth speaker per example not solving the issue that is to open the wheel to change tire? I didn’t say that they have to change the wheel but is not just performance I search I also want a premium feel and this will do that if you have a Sherman you will think twice if you buy this
That doesn’t mean that couldn’t have made the same kind of design that was implemented on the veteran Abrams no?! The difference is cheaper to just do the same thing once again. I don’t change often a tire but per example o got a new inmotion v11 and I’m sealing the tire of it for an off-road cat tire because I prefer. Will not be better to give us a easy solution to disconnect the motor to put the tire that we want?! I believe is proven that we want that and is not difficult to do
I understand the dissapointment of SMax..wait until you see the beaings failures all over .and cracked cases..they added a weak spot in the center of the wheel...p.s..How long we have to wait until some news about v13?
