Well done Harry, great video and I'll be having a go when I think I'll be able to make as good a job as you. Oh what about the track perimeter pieces you get, i suppose you can do the same?? More tips please. Regards Michael 👍 Harry, the exterior overuns on the corner sections that clip on the outside of the track. 👍
Hello Michael , thank you ,I'm happy it didn't turn into a disaster 🤭🤣 I don't understand you question about track (perimeter) maybe you can rephrase it ... Thank you for watching and commenting.🤗...Harry
Thanks 🤗...yes I had to do it because I just couldn't get a piece this short so at least I know its now possible to do . Appreciate you watching and commenting 🤗...Harry
Harry, I am glad Boone mentioned to watch your videos. I could watch your content all day. Great info and easy to watch and understand. Loved seeing the track modification. I also have Carrera track.
Ohh wow I didn't know Boone mentioned me 🫢 Danny I'm so sorry I'm only getting back to you now...I'm not getting notifications on my phone lately...Thank you for your kind comments, very much appreciated. I can't believe your comment sat here for 6 days unanswered 😯 sorry fellow slotcar fan 🙏...Harry
Thank you very much 😊 It's great when an idea works and filming it makes you try that little bit harder 🤣 at least for the future I know I can do it again if needed . Thanks for watching and commenting mate 👍...Harry
I did run into the same problem with my lay out. I needed a smaller piece than a 1/4. honestly I am surprised that Carrera does not offer smaller pieces for the perfect fit thx 4 the video
Yes it would be great if they offered a 1/8 piece ,I'm sure a lot of people would find it the perfect finishing piece for many circuits . Thank you for watching and commenting 👍...Harry
Hi Harry, nice job, it just goes to show that you don't have to stick with what you buy in the box, and the finnised item looked great, I bet there isn't too many people who would of done that, take care......... Colin 😊
Thanks Colin...I really wanted to show you don't need computer software to design a track ...any gap in a track can be filled to complete the section .thanks for watching mate 👍
Nice work Harry! Sometimes you have to change plans and make adjustments. Clever to cut the piece to fit. I am glad to hear you sorted the pipe issue as well! Stay warm!! Cheers!
Thanks Dave 😊 minus 32 degrees yesterday so it was perfect to get it fixed that morning 🥶I'm really happy I got the track piece done as it was my first time to try , always good when a plan works out 🤗 thanks Dave 🙂👍
Great video Harry :-) I do this with my old Fleischmann track by simply sawing through the whole track piece. Works fine. A trick for your method for cutting the rails would be to keep them in place while cutting by some masking tape.
Hi yes that's a good idea to hold the rail in place .now I know how to do it I don't need to worry about having to cut the track again . I know a fine toothed saw could do this easily but hadn't one available at the time 😊,thank you for watching and commenting 👍..Harry
Harry, I am sure you know that you could have purchased a quarter straight that is 3.4 inches long from Carrera. I have 3 of these quarter straights on my Scalextric track.
Hi Dave, 🤗I have quarter straights ,this was way shorter than that, more like an eight and also not equal on both sides .Carrera definitely don't do anything remotely similar...its a pity they don't do a 1/8 straight, I'm sure it would be very useful for many track builders 👍 thanks for watching and commenting 👍...Harry
Thank you 🙂It would be a big job to remove all the rails and very difficult to get them all connected properly afterwards. I would definitely just mark them off to 🤗 thank you for watching and commenting 👍

Great video Harry, Boone did something similar with Scalextric track last year. Thanks for sharing buddy 👍👍👍
Ohh Boone did it ...I bet way better than my effort 🫢 I'll be watching a lot of his posts soon as I get to scenery 🙂thank you for watching Rob 👍

I understand now Harry. You need a 1/8 straight. Good job on cutting it from a longer straight. You are very talented.
Thanks Dave ...I blunder my way through stuff 🤭don't look too close 😂
Nice tutorial, thanks for sharing!!!!
Thanks Nico 😊 I'll get to look at your post tomorrow mate 👍
Very useful video

Hi 👋...your welcome. Happy I could help ☺️ thanks for watching and commenting...Harry
Great video. It makes me wonder why people mask the rails when they paint their track. Why not just remove the rails, paint then reinstall?

Nice work Harry, cut the music out though, hard to hear what your saying.
Hey Dave thanks for watching .I'm Irish so you probably wouldn't understand me even with no music 🤣 Greetings from latvia..ile think about the music but the band won't be happy 🫢
What a coincidence, I'm cutting a Carrera track using a Dremel cutoff wheel, and a small (9") table top bandsaw.
Ahh cool 😎 I hope it all works out good for you, the proper tools always make it so much easier. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂..Harry
