- On August 2, 2022, members of the media got an up close look at the progress of the Central Tunnel during a tour. The Central Tunnel will include an art installation called “The River Tunnel.” In addition, Phase 2 of The New SLC will include the main entry point from the tunnel to Concourse B, which will be a mini-plaza complete with large-scale art installations such as The Canyon 2.0, Northern Light and placement of the World Map.

People were really hoping from a train. I don't mind walking but everyone I know who has flown through concourse B were really hoping for a train.
Looking forward to it! Kind of surprised it's not opening till late 2024 though. I would think this piece of the project would be prioritized.
The tunnel itself is almost done. The issue is the node at the end where it connects to the gates
If the tunnel ever floods it really will be a river tunnel.
What are the dimensions of the tunnel? It looks enormous.

Do people really need a train? I feel like thats beyond lazy. It's like a 3 or 4 minute walk.
I like the train it better than walking and it faster to get to b gates
The train will be put in when concourse C is done
Yes there is a large number of people that will benefit from a train going between terminals, the elderly and people will limited mobility are 2 that come to mind.
LOL! I really hope whoever designed this airport lost their job! This is the worst designed airport I've ever seen, and I've been to a lot of airports all over the world. Soooo instead of starting with a train as necessary and obvious, you're going to build one sometime in the future. My elderly mother has to fly Southwest and is expected to walk about 1 mile to her gate. Hahaha! Genius! Then there is the ridiculous lack of restaurants although that is slowly getting slightly better. Honestly, who designed this airport and thought the lack of getting around efficiently was a great idea???
Delta, they designed it to kinda punish people who didn't fly with them, that's my theory
