Thank you for the excellent review. I bought two of these car's and they were the Autoworld ones. They did not come with the grills for the windows. I don't care for the grills at all so I don't miss them. I have converted the model to a car mode but have deceided to leave the car in the underwater mode all the time. Best Wishes, Tom Pennock
Got mine a few weeks back. Overall it's surprisingly sturdy. The conversion makes sense and the parts fit together pretty well. Having wanting this model since first seeing one in 79' in a New York Mall. Some instructions would have been nice. The window stickers suck, but the side window pieces are way better.
im not to happy about it. For that kind of money it should be better, i have seen the autoart and thats waaay better. for about the same money, but you cant convert it. the older version from joyride is also better
@@HappyDude1 Agreed as that's altta money forra 1:18scale Bond car that can transform form submersible mode to car mode. As you expect much better build qaulity for that price
The Bond Lotus Submarine car is one model that it's worth getting the AutoArt version for a little more money, but way more clean details. Up close this version is a hot mess, from a distance I guess it's ok, but it's just not very polished.
@@HappyDude1 The AutoArt only comes as the submarine version, but that's fine, that's the only way I'd ever display it. I don't care about the regular version.
@@HappyDude1 What I meant to say was the AutoArt Sub version doesn't change or convert to the regular car or back like the Auto World version you have, it's either only the car version or the sub version. Thing is I just bought a perfect AA pre owned Sub version for $110 with box, and I found the car version with no box and a hinge issue you can't see for $95. It's funny just above I said above that I don't care about the car version, but that was before I found one for less than a hundred dollars. The quality of the AA Bond cars are top notch, and both for $205 together, it's hard to beat that. Now I don't have to choose, I can display them both together, problem solved. lol
I just received the Corgi S1 today, and had considered this car. Having watched this video, I'm so glad I chose the Corgi. Nice video. 👍
Is corgi in scale 1/18 ? And can everything open ?
I would love to have the autoart version. And thank you

@@HappyDude1 No all of the corgi versions are 1:24in scale/size

I was missing 1 grill for the windows too

Mine did not fit at all
I think the autoart will be a lot better
Nice model. I have the auto art and It can't be converted into a regular car. So in many ways this is a nicer kit.
Isn't the autoart way better in quality ?
It looks like Autoworld bought the molding from ERTL/Joyride. I recognise all the same snap-on parts from that model.
Could be yes
Just bought it. I really like it, but the stickers for the windows aren't great, but overall a great car.

I would paint the wind scoop black
Yes good idea And i think the backwings of the propellors should be white
Yes they should be!
Attention Tom Lowe, cool model and almost well executed. The paint details and quality control are hideous, step up your game.
Hear hear 😀
Did they want to make a quick buck😮
Everybody does 😁
That,s pretty good forra Bond car of that scale/size
It could be better for that price

True
The autoart can be cheaper actually

You didn't break it yet!?...😊
No no 😀 i'm making a very big cabinet to protect all my cars and With a secret gun compartment
I will make a video about it
Is it cheaper or more expensive than the 1:18scale Auto art version? 🤔🤷♂️
