Haters always complain about Ada's nonchalant attitude towards Leon but I don't think Ada actually realizes how deep of Leon's feeling goes for her. Yes, she knew they're attracted to each other but she never knew that Leon has been serious about her and is actually loving her. The fact that Leon is a chick magnet and a player himself doesn't help too.

@tootiefruities that's right! Whenever Leon is on a mission, Ada is always there. In RE6 Ada saved Leon' life the whole time. She rejected all other men, but not Leon. They have a really deep bond. She is a dangerous and clever woman, but not a bad person. She knows what right and wrong. Maybe something did happen in her past that made she a cold-heart-looking outside-lady, but I'm sure, Ada and Leon loved each other.

Can we just appreciate just how amazingly well done the cutscenes are in the RE2 Remake regarding Leon and Ada getting attached to one another? Especially the scene where he treats her leg wound, you can absolutely see her defenses melting away. It's a rare treat in videogames, usually the romance cutscenes feel forced. But this was amazing work.

@Lightning XIII-2 actually according to their dialogue in the CGI movie RE damnation they contacted each other off screen and spent a romantic night together after RE 4 events, but after the night they spent with each other Ada fled like usual and never contacted Leon again. The director confirmed all of this in the blu ray special features of the movie.

Love the Ada and Leon relationship but the thing I hate about it is that you have to wait about 4 or 5 years for another Resident Evil game to see what happens with Ada and Leon. Hopefully in Resident Evil 9 or Revelations 3 there relationship will continue and we will get to see what happens to them next.

Playing the original I never got vibes of Claire being slightly interested? They always had a strong friendship just like Chris and Jill. Although that ship can obviously be debated, they are both leading role characters with no love interest, Carlos being the closes.

The original RE2 Leon's cry of "AAAADAAAAAAA!", when she falls in Leon A, and more so in Leon B when she "dies" from the wounds she took when Mr. X throws her into the control panel, were so intense and painful. Much more so than the recently released remake's version from in this video. He barely says anything. I get that he felt betrayed, but the original sounded a lot more sad and visceral. I haven't seen if the remake has that scene of her dying in his arms from wounds from Leon B, but I'm curious to see if it does and if he cries out in that one.

Well, RE1 changed a lot too. Not just shifting a few items to new places and such, but fully new puzzles, items, and creatures, and all new features that completely change the dynamic of the game especially early on. When I first played it it threw me off quite a bit. I had played RE1 Directors Cut so much that I had not only unlocked the under three hour completion infinite rocket launcher, but my best time was under two hours. So I had mastered the original game and knew its ins and outs perfectly. And the changes to the remake really disturbed me to the point that I was, initially, disliking this game that I had been more excited for than any other game before it.
But then, I had the realization that was so simple and obvious that it was perfectly hidden... That it was A NEW GAME. YES, it was a remake and therefore based on something from before, but it was still a new game, and so I shouldn't expect the same game I had played before... Now, having said this, do you think that might possibly be the source of your dislike for the RE2 remake? I haven't played it, and the newest console I own is a 360 (I've fallen behind quite a bit in the last three to five years), and my laptop's graphics card couldn't handle something with graphics like the remake (if and when it comes out for PC), so I can't say this is the case from personal experience with this newest version of RE2. But is it possible?

RE 2 I still my favorite RE game and the remake holds the same excitement and horror that the original did as well :D

You're too kind. But a lot of people unlocked the sideways eight launcher. As for my best time, I'm sure there's better out there. Probably A LOT better lol. But thanks bro. Getting the under five hours to unlock the Samurai Edge (a three round burst handgun if you didn't know) by beating RE1's remake in under five hours was about as hard as beating the original in under three hours to me. A little easier, but the remake in under five is more comparable to the original's speed challenge than beating the remake in under three (which unlocks the infinite anti tank rocket launcher, since unlike the original RE1 the infinite rocket launcher you can unlock in the under three hour clear time is a different weapon than the rectangular shaped one that you use to kill the Tyrant, it's more like a giant rifle and is fired from the hip rather than the shoulder). The remake in under three hours, even with the help of the under five infinite burst handgun, is much more of a challenge. The path through the game is much less linear in the remake, and having to worry about dodging increasing numbers of zombies and or having to burn their bodies if you kill them to prevent dealing with Crimson Heads, makes the remake much more of a hassle to speed run. Oh and the fact that Zombies, Crimson Heads, and Hunters can break through doors to keep coming is another problem. Don't get me wrong, it adds a lot more challenge and through it, a lot more fun, but it makes racing a nightmare at times lol.
My mistake, I thought you were saying you didn't like the remake of RE2. Speaking of remakes, does it have Crimson Heads like the remake of RE1? If you're not familiar with them, in the remake of RE1 if you kill a zombie without decapitating it (another thing that, despite occasionally happening with a handgun, is no longer guaranteed with a shotgun by pointing it up when a zombie is close, or with a magnum in general), or by killing it with the flame grenade rounds as Jill (and the zombie dying from the burn), after a certain amount of time (the higher the difficulty, the less time it takes) a zombie will get back up as a red skinned Crimson Head. They can still grab and bite, and puke acid on you, but now they have a clawing attack and can RUN NONSTOP after you. So every Zombie is no longer a choice of:
1. Will I save ammo and dodge it?
2. Will I use ammo and kill it?
And instead is now:
1. Will I save ammo and dodge it, and have it possibly follow me from room to room?
2. Will I use ammo to kill it, then have to take up one or two other item slots for the stuff to burn it, including possibly having to make a special trip back to burn it, so it doesn't return as a Crimson Head?
3. Will I use ammo to kill it, then have use even more ammo and probably a stronger gun to kill it again when it comes back?
So, tl;dr does the RE2 remake have Crimson Heads? And I'm glad you like the game. Idk when I'm gonna have the time and money to get it and a newer console to play it, but what I've seen looks amazing. Oh and 2 was my first and favorite of the series too. 😊

Let's get something straight: Leon told Ada to shoot him, telling her that he knew she wouldn't after all they've been through. She couldn't do it. I truly believe that Ada was really in love with Leon and probably still does in the present. If she didn't, she would of shot him without hesitation. I really hope that they truly admit their feelings one day and not have to worry about the pressures of their professional and dangerous lives.
