2024 DIY Archery Elk Public Land Day 2&3

Day 2&3 of my Dad's elk hunt this year! We had lots of action and got so close on the evening of day 3! We tried to challenge bugle this herd bull and exactly what we didn't want to happen, happened. The reason we didn't call at all on day 1 & 2 is for the reason of hopefully just sneaking in and getting a shot without making a call. We would prefer to call a bull in, but from our experiences over the years with herd bulls, we have yet to get one to leave his cows to come check us out. Are you wearing hey dudes the entire time? How do they work on hills?

@@camerongood4514 sure am, they hold up great. Super quiet and light, I can feel the ground much better in heydudes than any hiking shoes, move faster and be quieter. Best hunting shoe in my opinion unless it’s wet ground where you’ll be walking. No ankle support but it doesn’t bother me, don’t wanna recommend them and see someone get hurt😅
