She brought up Seimone Augustis, who has been retired for years. Rashad brought up Cappie Pondexter, who had also been retired for years. Gil brought Kelsey Plum but mentioned that she worked with Kobe. This destroys her whole argument. If WNBA players have better fundamentals than NBA players, then why would a WNBA player work with a former NBA player to improve their fundamentals. You also have former NBA players who have coached in the WNBA.

@@bilogskii2216NBA players are more skilled AND more athletic than females. It’s just the truth. There’s a logical reasoning for it though - testosterone. Testosterone allows for men train harder and longer. It’s what keeps the strong competitive drive in men. That’s why there’s far more male basketball players than women. Strong competition raises the skill ceiling. Steel sharpens steel. That’s why men shoot better, have better handles, have better footwork, etc. they are able to drill longer, train harder and more frequent.
Well, Jokic is unathletic, but he is still one of the best players in the league.
@@libfit9068 Men are taller, stronger, faster and more athletic. If Jokic was 6'1 he wouldn't be able to score, rebound and pass as well as he can. Height can make up for lack of speed if you're 6'7+. If you're a slow 6 - 6'6 then you won't survive in the league.

If they lowered the rim, people probably still would not watch. They have more problems than that.
@@RonnieM90 Viewership would go up if the rim was lower. A lower rim would make it easier to shoot and there would be more dunks and posters.
@RobVole1 Lowering the rim would not improve their shooting. If you can not shoot on a 10' rim, then you probably can not shoot on a 9' room. As for dunks, you would see more, but still not as many as the NBA. Only a few of the WNBA players can dunk. The ones that can dunk can barely dunk. I doubt you would see any windmills or crazy dunks if they lowered the rim. If you can barely dunk on a 10' rim, then you will probably not be able to windmill on a 10' rim.

WNBA players get mad anytime someone tries to help them and or gives them so constructive criticism that's why their league will never grow. Nobody attacks folks for suggesting things to the wnba let’s be real. MPJ made a dumb suggestion. Entire NBA seasons average like 4 dunks a game. And yes MPJ hardly dunks … nobody watches the nba solely for dunking. Dunking is probably the last thing people think to see in an NBA game because it sparsely happens in game. There are way more 3’s and Crossovers. Dunks account for 7% of the total points scored in an entire game. So for a suggestion to be let’s lower the rim so women can dunk and we’ll watch more is a bit asinine lol.

I would love to sit down with Lexie and just talk about basketball in general (NBA and WNBA). She seems to be a chill and nice person, and is very knowledgeable about the game, but she can sometimes get too emotional and defensive when these topics come up and I think getting push back on her stances from multiple people all at once (especially on twitter) has a lot to do with that. Just have a chill 1v1 conversation with her about this stuff, and it’s a whole different energy.

NBA players don’t lack the skills. Sometimes when you see insane athletic ability be the reason for a bucket it’s easy to get caught up in that idea. The NBA is far more explosive & athletic so it casts a shadow on skills. But if you watch an entire game you can clearly see pure skill.
