Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake return in Trolls World Tour, an all-star sequel to DreamWorks Animation’s 2016 musical hit. In an adventure that will take them well beyond what they’ve known before, Poppy (Kendrick) and Branch (Timberlake) discover that they are but one of six different Trolls tribes scattered over six different lands and devoted to six different kinds of music: Funk, Country, Techno, Classical, Pop and Rock. Their world is about to get a lot bigger and a whole lot louder.

I loved how the baby country troll was born, and immediately had to get to work.
... if that ain't country, I don't know what is. 🤣😭
And when the baby said "ok daddy'' with an accent, it was so funny :D
same lol
Lol 😝 it was so funny 😂
@@connection7405 omg same! when it said "ok daddy" with the accent I started dying and mimicking the voice 🤣
For me, I feel bad. After the baby country troll hatched, he obeyed his father to go to work instead of... having fun for just a little while.
When branch said "life's sad sometimes, so i kinda like it?" I really felt that
thats awfull, look into jesus
Same.
@@hazellong6985 I do but I'm Muslim so I don't follow jesus
I listen to alot of songs like this so... Ouch for me.
@@hazellong6985 jesus is just a mask for those who want to hide the pain and sorrow in their souls. Let people relate to what they do, and find their own way.
Honestly this was the only song that really hit me hard in the movie. Life is not always all about rainbows and cupcakes sometimes life is also made up of storms that will teach us how to stand and face it.
That’s exactly what the movie is also telling us lol
@Red Boah Sutherland the first one was about the length people go to maintain happiness, or the illusion of it.
A lot of people don't understand that and think it was about you *must* be happy.
Chef for example uses happiness to control her fellow Bergens, dangling Trolls in front of them as "look, you know that feeling of misery I can take away with this thing...?" And the problem with sadness if you can be trapped like Branch in a single event, think about it he never got over the idea that he was responsible for his grandma's death. But it wasn't his thought, it was Chef's fault for taking her and Branch kinda represents those hurt by the Bergens over time. Trollstice took away loved ones and likely left lots of broken hearted Trolls.
Meanwhile Poppy has no idea what sadness is so when she finds it she basically gives up hope and the others follow suite. If you misinterpret something you miss kinda the darker parts of the first movie. One note I've always made is its likely the reason the Pop Trolls focus on being happy is that they had to keep living as every Trollstice they didn't know what was going to happen. It painted their entire lives.
"Sometimes life is also made up of storms that will teach us how to stand and face it" Damn...truer words had never been this beautiful.
@@AngelEmfrbl so true very well put
"Life is sad sometimes" ~Branch
I wanted this song right after hearing it in the movie. Like wow. It only could have been someone like her. And it represents exactly what country is about. The soul. A tragic or sad song can make someone feel good. It shows how complicated emotions work.
That was so emotional you almost made me cry 😭
Yes this was my favorite in the movie
So true

God this movie was awesome, they should bring it to theaters after Corona just for fun.... It'll be like a concert
brainey001 Absolutely! My sisters and I watched it last night and said to each other how the opening scene would’ve been spectacular in theaters.
Agreed!
Imagine this is 3D
@@starieeyed2329 EPIC
TOTALLY!!!! I’ve been waiting to see this on the big screen for years! I planned to make this movie my most watched movie in theaters. Right now it’s a tie between Frozen 2, Uglydolls and Moana each one I’ve seen four times in theaters. And Trolls World Tour I’d just about anything to see five💖❤️🧡💛💙💜!
I was really caught off guard when this song showed up in an animated kids movie about colorful singing trolls.
I mean, the first one was all about how Bergens were trying to eat them and Chief enjoyed doing it since it got her power and fame. These movies are kinda weird and the various tones somehow manage to mesh pretty well.
I know right? A happy movie with love and friendship and parties and every thing is beautiful.....
Then they put Death into it and everything was saaaaaaaad.
But It’s still a good song even though I’m not a Country music fan
Well kids should learn that the world isn’t all happy and fun, death is just a part of life. It’s sad and all but don’t sugarcoat the idea of it. We are all going to die one day people who don’t like to talk about it are just afraid of it themselves . And btw I love this song ❤️❤️
Bold of you to assume this franchise was made for kids
Cotton Shark ...Not really Lol it says it’s a kids movie
Kelly didn’t have to go this hard for an animated movie but I guess a vocalist will always be a vocalist. 🥲
Very grateful that she did.
She giving us access to all these premium vocals and performances for FREE and we take it for granted 😢😅
Just saw the movie. I usually hate country but this song hit different
same! I think I might like Country now lol
sameee, never thought country would be depressing
Not all country is depressing -_-
Agreed!
I am interested to hear what kind of country you have listened to.
If you listened to pop country, I understand the hate, but old stuff like Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, and Johnny Cash really sounds like this, but not always as depressing.
New artists are even good, like Luke Combs, Blake Shelton, and Kelly Clarkson all top the list for me.
It's sad a lot of people don't like the movie, the songs are quite catchy.
IT IS ISNT IT?!
swiggity swooty yeah
I don’t like the movie but the songs in it are quite good
I like the movie and the songs
swiggity swooty the movie actually is appreciated by critics. has higher rotten tomatoes than the first one.
This song was my favorite part in the entire movie as BRANCH put it “ sometimes life is sad , I guess I kinda like it” this song was one of the best from the entire film
Ikr, this is my favorite song in the entire movie, and I don't even like country music ☺.
my same thought. it's my fave out of the movie.
YES this song and Branch's song were honestly my favorites... The message is beautiful and Branch seemed to understand it from the very beginning that it just wasn't their place to change anything. If they're sad, they're sad. And sometimes a sad song can help you express that and feel better. But most of the pop trolls just want pure happiness, and Branch seemed to be the only one to get that, that sometimes you're just not happy, and it's okay if you're not. Idk, the message in this movie is just really nice and the moment Branch said that, it was pretty clear tbh.
@@meraki4398 It just... it was a CHARACTER moment. Like... they wrote that for him to say because HE would say that because it something HE would feel and would tell Poppy then and there. It's so small a moment and yet it speaks VOLUMES about the built in complexity of his character. He's a person, not a... cardboard cutout. I wish... I wish that writers understood the power of moments like that, the value of less than 15 seconds of dialogue done right. EVERYONE remembers that friggin scene. Why? BECAUSE IT WAS REAL! IT WAS TRUE! It spoke something we all know and it was genuine. I need that stuff on an IV drip. THAT'S THE GOOD S%@#!
@Meraki , absolutely agree with you! There was no need to change anything in country, it has such a melancholic tune and lyrics, but life is beautiful because of the hardships that make us cherish it more!
@@ActuatedGear , what I got from this scene was that Poppy is an @ssh0le. Here was Branch telling his feelings, and Poppy was just like "Oh, those poor unfortunate souls~".

Yeah it does
It feels like i knew this song for years
I think that's what the songwriters were going for.
Why is it that when a song is created for a movie, it hits different than others?
easy. in a movie you can see how it affects people. you can understand why the song was created.
You have emotional involvement with the characters. It creates a link in your limbic system (responsible for emotions)
Movie Directors have higher standards than music producers
I think I'm in love now

I’ve known Kelly Clarkson for singing pop songs like “ Breakaway” and “ What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” so for me to hear her in a country song, I can appreciate an artist’s ability to be able to sing something from a different genre and do it successfully 👏
she had two other country songs. "Tie it up" and "don't rush."
She started with country pop first.. But she was ALREADY an AMAZING Country singer already!
She can sing any genre. Truly! I saw her in concert last summer in Vegas. Amazing! I’ve loved her since American Idol, but she has only gotten better with age. Her latest album was her best. I don’t know why someone just said she started as a country pop singer. That is incorrect. She was always pop and pop rock. And even had her original inspiration to sing came from more R&B (huge Aretha fan - early efforts to get a record contract were lost because they thought she “sounded too black” 🤦🏻♀️). But she has done a couple country duets. She is from Texas, so she loves country music.
This is the song that stuck out the most. The emotions and tone is Kelly's singing in this song is unmatched by any other songs in this movie. Badass song!
The reason why so many genre of music exists is because music is represented in many different ways , the movie has a good way of splitting music and explaining why people like certain music
Ok my new favourite song. Why isn't this playing on radio? It's so good!
They usually don’t play songs from movies on the radio, at least where I live

I liked how branch likes the way the country trolls sings about deeper emotions and knows what it’s like. Or other words he likes sad but moral songs.
Wow I'm amazed by this. I was expecting an empty and shallow poppy song and I find this gem. It's so powerful and meaningful. Love this woman, she can do no wrong.
.... Did you watch the movie. This is quite an ironic comment if so...
Ur a rock troll aren'tt you? 😂
@Isabella Acuna I'm getting the feeling that people missed the point of this movie :T...
@Isabella Acuna I didn't know it was a country song. I love country music. Always have since I was little.
@Abigail Woolls I didn't watch Trolls or even Trolls 2. I'm just a KC die-hard fan. I just based my comment on the song 'Can't stop the feeling' from the first movie. That was the only thing I knew related to the movies.
I honestly think this song is what makes me like this movie so much, what makes it so profound. Life isn’t always happy and good, and that’s okay. Life is about the diversity of experiences and there is such a thing as to much happiness, as much as there is to much sadness.
People be like "why doesnt country sound like this?". It does sound like this, you just listen to the mainstream crap
this is more like country/soul. Her vocals sound country in terms of twang but she adds soul elements like quickly rising then dropping to head voice/falsetto. Most country singers sing more monotone with legato notes, but Kelly is obviously a vocalist so adds her own inflections.
@@jaydel3 Sounds like what Dolly used to do. I mean...soul instead of blues sounds like a decent swap, but yeah, Country has always had a bit of that sort of vocalization. Kelly does a fantastic job of it, and I'd love to hear more in that vein, but it's not by any means COMPLETELY new to the genre. It's just really well developed in this iteration because she's really good at that. That's how art be. You bring what you know and do the best with what you got. She got it.
