Love how easily the co2 lasers cut through fast and clean. I got into lasers during lockdown but only have a diode one at the moment that I bought to make a coin display frame. I'm a painter/decorator by trade and I have to say.. that painting looked painful haha.. Get yourself a small 4inch roller short or long pile you can experiment, painting those boards first or rolling the bits after the cut. That'll save you hundreds of hours over time and time is money after all. They look great though, good luck with the new business venture.
I make these same crosses. Highly suggest using 3M double-sided adhesive (except for the back piece of course). Makes life soooo much easier. I also prepaint my boards and it is such a time saver.
Won't hold the Navy service against you...from a retired USAF type. 😁 Just came across your channel. Purchased a laser for my shop also, although a much smaller one. Looking forward to trying out some of these projects. Have had a woodshop for a number of years. Maybe you have already conducted a tour of your shop but if not would be interested in seeing your set up. Thanks and keep them coming.
Last comment - maybe - but wanted to also say I really like the ones with the very close colors - especially because of the way it reacts different to viewing angle/light. Nice job!
crosses looking great.i would say design your own and sell this staff.yes designing takes time and money but then you learn a lot.My favorite is the cross with the red and white color.this color combi looks really good.the others looking great as well but i would give them multi colors as well.
i see it's been awhile since you made this comment so I hope you'll still see this! Can you suggest a starting place for learning how to design stuff to sell?
I've had my Thunder 51/100 for about 10 months now and it's been an amazing tool! Nice job on the layered crosses, I sold a bunch of nativity scene layered crosses for Christmas this year. Keep the videos coming.
Mas não mostrou como fez! E a ordem da montagem, as etapas…já está incluído no programa ou em um aplicativo? Muito lindo tudo e você é um artista! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
the link to get the designs is no longer on etsy. would love to get them, but thank you for your service to our country, and thanks for the video. God blgess
thanks for your videos! and congratulations a consulate where you get the designs I am from San Juan Argentinian, it is very difficult for me to get them THANK YOU If you can share what I get I will share it with you BLESSINGS
Did you etch your Maker's Mark on the back with your contact information? Good video. What was the demographic that purchased the crosses? Just curious.
What size lens are you using on your laser? The sides of those cuts look pretty perpendicular to the front surfaces. I seen some stuff that has been cut and the sides are not smooth at all because the cuts are at a very slight angle.... doesn't show when cutting individual items much but as soon as you start layering things they stick out a mile.
Great video, and congrats on your retirement former Marine here. What stain are you using? I have tried to find the brighter colored stains and have been having little luck.
Minwax has stains that can be tinted to some very bright colors. They have a solid and transparent one. I use the transparent that will look solid if brushed on left to dry or you can wipe off for a muted look
Hi, you get a very clean cut. Very little surface residue. Can I ask what power tube have you got in your laser and what power/speed setting are you using.
@@rbwoodcreations1039 Thanks for the reply. I have a 150 watt and run at similar setting. I don't have the upgrade on the air assist. I think this is worth looking into.
I've had my Nova 51 for over a year and am just now getting my courage up. I have a mutli-layered design I want to do but I'm not sure where to start. I see you have a line and a fill layer. My design has 5 layers but I am not sure how to even start with the set up. So overwhelming.
He has a large CO2 laser so he might or might not know. However, he is only cutting 3mm wood and I have seen both the Ortur and the Neje diode laser cut 3mm wood especially with air assist. The best air assist nozzle I have seen is sold as an add on for the foxalian. The same guy that does it for the foxalian also sells for other manufacturers on Etsy. I also like the air assist pump that they came out with just for his air assist. He makes his out of brass and not plastic. I've seen his demo cut up to 10mm
Those turned out neat! How long did they take to cut out and at what price range were you able to sell them? Just ordered a CNC with laser and would like to try these.
Go Navy. Am a RNLN vet myself, 36 yeard, now retired since 2013, and just bought my sculpfun s9
Go Army! Beat Navy! ;) (thank you for your videos! and congratulations on your retirement!) 🍻

They look really nice!
Really cool project. Very little burn char...
Nice work. I appreciate the effort put in to your content. Well done!
Thank you for your service. I already like this channel.
Thanks for your service!!!
Congrats on your new journey! Thank you for your service . Looking forward to more videos.
Thanks!! So glad you did this video. I've been looking for a how to for these kinds of projects. Very Cool and Very Nice work. Keep it up.
RB! Have you thought about use an airbrush to stain? You can adjust output to lightly applying stain and be easier and faster.
Those crosses look amazing. I’m looking forward to see more of your laser projects.
Awesome Thank you

MaWoodShop is no longer selling the cross files on Etsy, where did you purchase your files? Thanks
I was just looking at the 3M tape. Looks like it's about $350 for a roll. Where do you get yours?
@@phototecthat is where I got my files. You might google search to see if they set up their own website.
Love them good job
Very Cool great job brother. Liked and Subscribed!

Crosses are gorgeous! Congratulations on starting your own woodworking business. Best wishes!!!
Love these crosses. Great colors!
Good content and congratulations on going full time on your woodworking business, hope to there some day. My wife and so just got a Thunder Nova 24.
Hi there. Great vid. I've looked on Amazon, but can't find tinted stains like you have...
Wonderful job. Check, what kind of wood do you use for your work? Greetings from 🇨🇱
Hi, everything is brilliant. I just failed to understand how you got the cross separated to different layers. Would be thankful for some insides.

Welcome back shipmate, I missed ya.
How come your cuts are so clean? No burn marks anywhere. What kind of laser do you have?
Just watched your video. Ma woodworking must went out of business. Who else could you recommend laser files?

Those look awesome. I'd love to see the review on the thunder laser. I've been researching them for a while.
Just stumbled on to your channel, nice work. Looks like a lot of time making these. How much are you asking for these?
Great Job. One question, How are you hanging them? I don't see any slot or thing on the back??
Have you tried hard printing roller to stain the pieces rather than the foam brush??
Nice work! I wonder if an airbrush wouldn't work well for this.

Ohh very nice job! what kind of wood did you use and is it real that acrylic paint is the best of kind?

I just clicked onto the link and it said not currently selling on Etsy. 07-02-23
Yes, looking around to find some place to get those same designs
Can't seem to have hypersonic missiles without belief systems, you noticed that too?

show de bola,👍👌👌🥰🤗é muito lindo esses trabalhos
Que lindas! 😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Wouldnt it be easier to use a rubber roller to apply stain like that? Something that is dense and lightly coated wont go into cracks like a sponge
Bummer…They are not selling on Etsy….Any clue if they are anywhere else?
link 4 buy the file dont work!
what machine are you using specifically?
what wood are you using? I'm new to this :D
So nice work how to download file
What speed and power did you use tu cut them?
is there generator software to create the layers out there that is free?
Did you etch your Maker's Mark on the back with your contact information? Good video. What was the demographic that purchased the crosses? Just curious.
13k $ nice...what i should buy for 900$ for start?
Im just starting outi have a problem with the line and fill how do you cut out the filled lines
Can you give me the name of the paintbrush you use? thank you
The Etsy page that you have a link to is closed!
What was the name of that glue please. Thank you

Why you clean the paint after paint the layer?
Hi, you get a very clean cut. Very little surface residue. Can I ask what power tube have you got in your laser and what power/speed setting are you using.
It's a 130w tube and I usually run around 65-70 power and around 50mm/sec. I have shop air, so I use that for the air assist (~40psi)
@@rbwoodcreations1039
Thanks for the reply. I have a 150 watt and run at similar setting. I don't have the upgrade on the air assist. I think this is worth looking into.
@@simonchambers3900 getting the air up to 30-40 psi makes all the difference when cutting
Just curious if you have tried to do the prestained wood before cutting and how the laser reacts with the stain?
That's all I do now. Stain/paint, mask, then laser. Works like a charm.
Curious how much you might sell these for…?
I've had my Nova 51 for over a year and am just now getting my courage up. I have a mutli-layered design I want to do but I'm not sure where to start. I see you have a line and a fill layer. My design has 5 layers but I am not sure how to even start with the set up. So overwhelming.
will a regular smaller hobby diode laser like a Neje or Ortur do these?

Where could I buy one?
Mirroring is quicker - just mirror BOTH horizontal and vertical and it ends up with a 180 degrees.
Holy crap I have a laser cutter but I gotta know how much that one cost please
Can you still smell the wood cutting with your ventilation system on?
Etsy shop not currently trading
why not pre-paint all the pieces before cutting them out? seems like it would save a lot of time.
Sir can u do paid layer design ?
14:01 The Red and the Blue crosses would look nice with a single layer of metallic Bronze or Gold paint too. 🙂
Já fez algum projeto com rosto ?
Those turned out neat! How long did they take to cut out and at what price range were you able to sell them? Just ordered a CNC with laser and would like to try these.
Cut time was about 15 minutes on the laser and selling the first few for around $50-60.
Not bad for a Navy guy 🤣🤣🤣
How do I get those cut files
That person is not on etsy anymore
If you Google MaWoodShop it should come up on the search results. They sell their files on another site now.
Wouldn’t it be better to spray these multiple layer projects?
What is the price of this printer?
You sell this type of designs
What software do you use?
Lightburn
Ma Woodshop is not longer an Etsy store
your audio cuts off at 4:22
hi!! great job!!! let's do a collaboration?
Can't you just use a spray can with the color that you want??
sure, can, however that would be a bit pricey
inch/imperial system so stupid
3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8mm - more easyer.
