Fun fact: Matty Matheson, who plays Fak, is actually a renowned chef and owns multiple restaurants. In addition to acting on the show, he also is one of the producers and a culinary consultant for the show.
I am 28 yo,i've been a cook for 10 years now and this show broke me, they got everything right to the most simple details, that vertigo like feeling and overstimulation of the kitchen
Just to clarify, Richie was telling a story about twins, Carmy isn’t a twin himself. Excited to see the rest of the series reaction, this show has taken Succession’s torch.
I felt that Season 2 was still great but fell a little below the first season. Some of the dialogue in the second season is a little too smooth, not as natural as in the first season, and some things were a little too staged, like Richie hitting the ceiling with the broom and the wall falling down at the exact moment she gives away her revelation. Still some fantastic stuff in there though, and, of course, Seven Fishes is masterpiece.
the tight editing + cinematography just adds to the already great writing. ive heard the saying that movies are born in the editing room (shows too), and the editing to make you feel claustrophobic or anxious or stressed out is incredible
so glad you two are watching this incredible show!! as a chef for many years, i personally think it really encapsulates kitchen life, and all the anxiety & stress that comes with it. but also the camaraderie & family dynamic of it all. the natural closeness you develop with coworkers when working in that environment for so long, makes all the stress fueled days worth it imo 🖤 even more so love seeing reactions of people who haven’t worked in food service before. like, “holy shit, this is too intense. how do people do this??” we do it every day, you either get used to it or you quit, that’s how 😂
This show gives me flashbacks to my 7 years working in a restaurant kitchen and that semi-controlled chaos and intense stress. It's so damn good, but also gives me anxiety. Both seasons are an absolute wild ride!
This show is really good at portraying the insanity of a low class restaurant... I started my career path in the cooking industry and it is very realistic how the environment is. Right now, while I'm studying, I'm working in a restaurant that is fancier and istg at least in the kitchen that's the vibe.
As a person who worked in the restaurant business for many years , this first episode caused me to have flash backs. To this day I sometimes dream that I have a restaurant full of customers and I am trying to serve them all by myself ( in the weeds ) . That is how this episode made me feel.
I'm so glad you're reacting to this series! The Bear is one of my absolute favorite shows of the past few years. Season 1 is fantastic, and season 2 is even better.
oh man so excited to see you guys watch this. but yes prepare for overwhelming anxiety cause that's kind of a staple for this show. waiting once a week for these episodes is going to kill me though considering how short the eps are. but i'll wait lol.
Definitely the best show out there right now. Is definitely in the top 5 with Better Call Saul, Barry, Succession and Ted Lasso. The Bear is definitely worth the ride to watch, especially with Season 2 which was phenomenal. The Bear is gonna win a Emmy for The Best Comedy Series without a doubt.
i'm still holding to watch season 2, going one episode per week cause of how intense it is enjoy the ride girls, you're about to dive into a masterpiece
28:57 The restaurant is called The Original Beef of Chicagoland ("The Beef", for short). The drawing of the building with the bear on the front will be explained later.
My favorite reactors reacting to my favorite (recent) show -- what a great day! I cannot wait for you guys to get further into this show -- you will LOVE it, and I cannot wait to see it! 😊
Hell yeah! So glad you’re tackling this show. One of the top two or three shows currently running. I’d also recommend Reservation Dogs. It’d be interesting to see Your perspective on contemporary Native American reservation life.
Let's go! I haven't watched your newer videos because the shows are not my style, but The Bear is awesome!. I think The last thing I watched consistently on your channel was the Last of Us and before that Better Call Saul
The guy with the gun is not Carmie's cousin, cousin is a term of endearment similar to bro. He's just the second in charge at the restaurant from when Michael was the manager
Would you two be able to upload Vinland Saga 2x23? I've been anticipating some waterworks from the both of you. Can't believe a show about farming can make someone cry more than any live action movie or TV show.
very good show, but a fairly familiar show, it's not that different from SweetBitter from 5 years ago on Starz...BUT Severance on the other hand, is a whole new universe...and as of right now, sadly, only 8 episodes. [prays for S2]
This show was very stressful to watch, that scene where richie keeps on barking while camry slicing veggies gave me anxiety lol, i can't even bear whenever ricie goes on screen and i kinda wanted him to just off😭. Does anyone irl actually deals with that kinda guy? Jesus...
Fun fact: Matty Matheson, who plays Fak, is actually a renowned chef and owns multiple restaurants. In addition to acting on the show, he also is one of the producers and a culinary consultant for the show.
Woh, that's hilarious and makes sense for some inside jokes on this series
That makes a lot of sense about why it feels so real
He’s also Canadian.
"Sydney, sorry about the gun, babe. I had to get real." Love Richie so much lmao
I honestly love everyone in that restaurant
This is my favorite quote from season 1. There are better quotes but this made me buy in to the show for some reason.
I am 28 yo,i've been a cook for 10 years now and this show broke me, they got everything right to the most simple details, that vertigo like feeling and overstimulation of the kitchen
This show is the savior of post BCS and Succession.

@@soulbro55 Better Call Saul
@@noodles2316 aha, tnx
What about Barry?
Just to clarify, Richie was telling a story about twins, Carmy isn’t a twin himself. Excited to see the rest of the series reaction, this show has taken Succession’s torch.
This show is freaking incredible, I don’t know how season 2 managed to top season 1 but it did.
I felt that Season 2 was still great but fell a little below the first season. @@timcliffsmiththat episode felt so real that it actually made me consider going upstairs and take break in Donna's room whew 😭
the tight editing + cinematography just adds to the already great writing. ive heard the saying that movies are born in the editing room (shows too), and the editing to make you feel claustrophobic or anxious or stressed out is incredible
in general, "cousin" can also mean a very close friend / friend of the family in American lingo.

i could not be happier that you two started this show
This show gives me flashbacks to my 7 years working in a restaurant kitchen and that semi-controlled chaos and intense stress. It's so damn good, but also gives me anxiety. Both seasons are an absolute wild ride!
The Bear is one of the best shows being made right now. Season 1 is very good. Season 2 is GREAT.
Instantly knew this show was gonna be a banger when the first song played was New Noise by Refused. So damn good.
This show is really good at portraying the insanity of a low class restaurant... I started my career path in the cooking industry and it is very realistic how the environment is. Right now, while I'm studying, I'm working in a restaurant that is fancier and istg at least in the kitchen that's the vibe.

I’m addicted to the stress that this show captures
I'm so glad you're reacting to this series! The Bear is one of my absolute favorite shows of the past few years. Season 1 is fantastic, and season 2 is even better.
yes chef!
This show stole my heart and I binged S1 recently. Halfway through S2 and it’s just soooo good 🥹
oh man so excited to see you guys watch this. but yes prepare for overwhelming anxiety cause that's kind of a staple for this show. waiting once a week for these episodes is going to kill me though considering how short the eps are. but i'll wait lol.
Holy CRAP!! An absolute surprise, but SUCH a welcome one :D
Ebon Moss-Bachrach who plays Richie, is also in the series "Andor." Which is really good as well.
I just recently finished this series! So happy to be able to join you both with this watch-through!
Definitely the best show out there right now. Is definitely in the top 5 with Better Call Saul, Barry, Succession and Ted Lasso. The Bear is definitely worth the ride to watch, especially with Season 2 which was phenomenal. The Bear is gonna win a Emmy for The Best Comedy Series without a doubt.
watching this reaction just made me realize that Carm just threw out a sauce can!
This show is FANTASTIC. The acting is some of the best I’ve ever seen.
*This show has no right being this incredible. Seriously.*
Really happy about this. Wish more reactors did The Bear. Crazy good show.
i'm still holding to watch season 2, going one episode per week cause of how intense it is
enjoy the ride girls, you're about to dive into a masterpiece
So glad you're watching this! Every little moment pays off in this show!
From Chicago, this show captures a particular essences of Chicago.
This is the most perfect timing, I literally just finished the first episode as well and now I just wanna continue it lmao.
28:57 The restaurant is called The Original Beef of Chicagoland ("The Beef", for short). The drawing of the building with the bear on the front will be explained later.

Good on Richie for helping to keep the property prices in the neighborhood low XD
This show reignited my nightmares of a nonstop ticket machine going.
Excited for this great show, hope we eventually get Succession, Barry and Peaky Blinders some of my favorite shows ever
Don’t forget about Severance
They have already watched succession off camera and talked about it on twitter

Your perspective on contemporary Native American reservation life.
The tone of this show reminds me of Uncut Gems which makes me really enjoy it! I love that hectic energy. It’s stressful but also really entertaining.
Long time kitchen guy here. This show gave me quite a bit of anxiety lol. Brought back some memories. But I love the show so much.
this is my favorite show, i'm sorry for what you're gonna go through
i started this show last Wednesday. Finished the next day. This show encapsulates stress, anxiety and dysfunction. But it's perfect.
Let's go! I haven't watched your newer videos because the shows are not my style, but The Bear is awesome!. I think The last thing I watched consistently on your channel was the Last of Us and before that Better Call Saul
This reminds me of working in the food service industry. It’s so chaotic
Reliving shows I like with y’all is awesome
Let's go! I just started this show a few days ago. It's so so good.
I'm so glad you guys picked this one
The guy with the gun is not Carmie's cousin, cousin is a term of endearment similar to bro. He's just the second in charge at the restaurant from when Michael was the manager
This Show is great! So skillfully made. And you are GREAT at watching it! It draws you in...
It made my day to find out you guys are reacting to this 🤌🏻🤌🏻
Fun fact: there's only one chef in the show, Matty Matheson who plays Neil Fak, the only character in the restaurant who can't cook

Well Carmy has already cemented himself as Lip’s clone due to this being set in Chicago. That didn’t take long.
Looking nice lola..

Oh boy, you girls are gonna experience a lot of stress watching this one...and I'm all for it lol
A lot of dry tears will be shown from them.

Only here cuz of Lip Gallagher . Been watching all your Mr Robot and Breaking Bad reactions
Milena's suffering-a-cold voice is ridiculously sexy.
