You know, the contrast between the hype that was DD1 announcement and now is just sad. I wish Bushiroad could think long term, opening the franchise to more people by lowering the price point, instead of wanting all the money now. Making a new game is a good idea, however it doesn't matter if Bushiroad isn't trying to fix their mistakes, at that point, they should've just made this a expansion for the first game, at least it wouldn't invalidate the 200+ dollars some people paid on DD1 + Dlc.
They had to make a new game to add the energy function though and it is nice for people who didnt buy the first game cause they with get all the cards from it for free in this one so brings new players
@@MJ-oi6ulagreed. I don’t mind it at all and i’m overall much more happy it’s happening. Dear Days 1was a fun ride and helped me connect with my best friend. i’ll be visiting it every now and then for the memories and i’m excited to make more.
What would win? -> A whole team making a card sim for 70 bucks with outdated cards? Or -> Only 1 person making a card sim FREE to play with constant updated with the new cards? HMMMMMMMMMMM 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Personally I still prefer CFA over Vangpro, main thing I dislike about Vangpro is that it doesn't have a way to automate updates, it's basically like just a slightly better CFA back when CFA was still a bit barebones prior to its QoL changes when D released.
@@_simplylink_ i aggre with you. in addition, i actually ask him/her about adding the shield counter when we're going to guard and not just "2Pass" thing notice because i have an issue about "math is mathing" thing, but he/she said no. so immediate leave the game... IDK about now... I mean i know its a skill issue of mine though...
Genuinely I'm kinda worried about DearDays. This genuinely could be a worse idea than overwatch 2. I hope they actually do some right decisions for once with this game
i wish they'd just make a master duel type client, put all the new releases in it and i'd have no problem spending the money if i want the cards but this halfway type game with like 1000$ DLC by the end ain't it. i spent about 3000 on zero so i'm not bullshitting.
Could be? This is. Overwatch 2 was free, had cross play from what I remember and and even with its problem didn’t feel outdated This is outdated as hell, overpriced, is now showing that all the money you put in means nothing and doesn’t have crossplay
I just hope they realize how disappointed people are with this game. Maybe a miracle happens and they think about releasing it this way again. With Divinez being in this set, I guess this would be the time for a miracle. 😅
I play Dear Days 1 almost daily since it released and was crazy enough to get the DLCs just to play and build decks i couldnt play in paper. Even back then I knew Dear Days was a hard sell to anyone of my friends but I enjoyed it almost entirely solo (still do). Cardfight makes me happy and i like doing thr cpu fights and keeping to myself, and I love vanguard in general. I dont have the same hype for Dear Days 2. Im more disappointed than anything about it its announcement and how little has changed (so far). Ill wait a long time before even considering getting it, ive been burned too much already.
I could but I live in a rural USA village (not enough population to be called a town.) So why buy the physical cards? The nearest "locals" to me is a 6 hour drive. For me the card game is worth the price. I also like that you buy it and have a bunch of decks. I remember paying 600$ to build two decks when zero was a thing. I would rather have the 70$ price tag this game comes with. Regardless if people like me buy the card game we will basically be hoarding cardboard for no reason. It's not like internet connection in rural areas is good enough to stream a card game over discord.
@@ClaytonJ-ks5rq Yeah. I do agree on this. If you’re in a rural area where things are so far away, yes. Absolutely, And, frankly, unless I rope someone in to playing, I’m pretty much in the hoarding category for the Digimon tcg. And yes, whilst the price tag is high for a card game simulator, it’s cheaper than purchasing most physical decks. And, whilst the DLC could’ve definitely been cheaper, it was cheaper than buying the physical cards by a mile. You just needed to avoid those card bundles when you can easily just save up crafting points. I still think it’s overpriced as a tcg simulator. But I get where you’re coming from
If the DLCs are a more reasonable price I'd be more okay with it, but it does look like a low effort upgrade of the first game so far Also I fear that if the pricing model of Dear Days 1 worked insofar as it met their profit target, they have no incentive to change
If you look into bushi finance, I really think this is just a money grab opportunity, because when you're revenue is down half from 2022 and only taking in 4% profit, no c level executive will greenlight anything that seems like burning money, especially c level Japanese exec
I have a feeling the JP community's reaction to this game is different and less negative than the global community and probably why Bushiroad thinks there is no problem with the games. Have you gotten some general sentiment in Japan on this announcement?
Yeah I mention it briefly at the end of the vid, but generally there's excitement for DD2 That being said, the DD1 sale tweet is getting the same reaction as the west, with some people saying "if they're doing this, does that mean we can transfer our data?"
@@DifferentFight Thank you. I think you nail the head on the expectation of this game and a very likely mismatch of expectations. I think Bushiroad isn't trying to get people playing the physical card game to play this, it is to get it out to people who can't do so and hopefully funnel people into the physical game. It seems like global playerbase wants a digital simulator and PVP but Bushiroad just wants a low budget traditional single player card game with online.
They're doing the exact same thing, holding vanguard hostage. If you want to play a vanguard D standard game on console you will have to buy this, content creators will buy to make videos on it, fans only have this (fan made simulators aside). It is what it is, a glorified 140+ € hostage situation
I'm a huge vanguard fan but the only game i have played is zero, because it's too expensive to buy an game and multiple dlc's and i still don't understand why they shut the servers down for these games. That move made me lose an part in the community because i don't think were i live we have the physical cards or an community around it either, so i kind of forgot about the series for a long time and now that i'm interested again i just watch videos because i feel like the investemt is not worth it.
I think the circles being farther apart is so that the UI doesn't shift to fit when using Bavsargra's Arms or Silhouette. Just a little something I remember from picking her as my starter deck.
Even though this will be behind on card set, I’m still pretty excited cause 1. Furuyu isn’t involved (but still slightly cautious on the practices to see how they handle game especially with support) 2. I don’t remember when I believe it was around the messiah set was announced that I had fallen off of playing DD since I have no way of playing the physical game but I still enjoyed watching the info drops. The fact that the set starts from dbt01 and goes past all the DLC and into the new seasons that I haven’t even watched for the same price as the 1st game is pretty good for me. They coulda easily just started it from Divine Z set and brought in the cards from first dear days as dlc. 3. I’ve been wanting to play vanguard for forever and didn’t have a big reason to return and this gives me a better reason now.
@@symphonixblades I don’t think it was 100% furuyu either but from what I’ve heard and seen majority if not all their games have had something super greedy and scummy about how they do certain projects. (Yes Konami and wizards have had similar issues but at least with their versions of their games were more up to date and updated frequently) Currently the main problems with the game it seems like it’s gonna be is the No crossplay and set not being fully up to date. Since we don’t know the pricing of the dlc yet I can’t add that in just yet but I feel 60$ now is more reasonable than when Dear days first launched since the card pull is so much bigger.
@@GraciousKnight99 There is literally no voiced dialogue. Just sound bytes playing at times. As much as I respect voice actors, THAT level of voice acting ain't all that much.
Zero is like duel links So for DD1 i thought it's gonna be master duel, turns out it's Legacy of the Duelist and this announcement bring back the Legacy of the Duelist Link Evolution vibes which is sad. I just wish they give DLC for the card from different format
not really dd did have the inlet magnolia and the bastion dark strain restriction back when it started. for gandeeva the restriction for stirgina is in set 12
Main request is just save file recognition. The older 3ds bushi games had it so even if furyu isn't around, they should keep the function. I don't play cardboard anymore since as stated some areas are just not into this game (plus promo and basic supply issues) so a DD2 is appreciated. Just kinda wished they finished DD1 with all pre-divinez/energy era sets. Then they can finish the dlc of 2 with destined sets.
Bushiroad currently is at a point where they mistakes for what sells. Instead of focusing on creating products that are good, easily accessible, & cost friendly to new players. They make shitty products thats unjust to their prices & filling it in with all the bells & whistles thats basically nothing more but a "pretty packaging."
While it's a bit annoying that it won't have all sets available at the time in physical, hopefully we won't have to wait all too long for them to be added this time around. With DD1 it wasn't until like a few months that the first DLC set was added in right? Which only meant DD just lagged even more behind physical. So hopefully (wishful thinking though it may be) we don't have to wait like 3 months or something for the first DLC and then another like 4 for all sets of that wave to be added. It's not like the cards in the sets not available on release aren't already made after all, so it's kinda unreasonable to not add them until like half a year after their physical release. Ideally the release of DLC should be hastened so a set is added within a week of physical release, if not on the very same day. I will be buying it though because there's very few players in my area (I think the number can be counted on one hand, and 2 are me and one of my brothers) and the LGS doesn't even sell Vanguard, and I'm pretty sure there's very few official events in my country overall (and I don't have the time or money to travel to other countries), and it allows me to try out decks I haven't even considered playing or are too expensive irl as well as being an official way of playing with friends all over the world. And also because I'm a content creator as well.
As a new Vanguard fan, this is a major turn off. In the modern age of Master Duel and Shadowverse this is just a FAT L. Even sims that are lacking a bit like MTG Arena and Pokémon’s sim are still wonderful for new and veteran players. Nobody plays Vanguard at my locals, I have to hit a city over to play. In this era to grow a game you need a sim. It’s a shame too because I’ve been getting into Vanguard because there’s so many cool things Vanguard has to offer for fans which is why I’ve been getting into it.
I was so excited for the first game that I bought on release and intended to buy the DLCs until I saw the price and my excitement for the franchise really took a big hit since I don't have any locals and DD could've been a way to keep up with the game I hope that DD2 is better than what's looking like
Dear Days fun for a story beat sure, but actuall online gameplay is slow and not that fun, plus the slow and non-update cardpools. They're really pulling an overwatch 2 on us, but they expect us to pay for the whole game and all the dlc's again...
@@Zarugoza5969Nah Bushi just cancelled it and used the CardFight Online assets and UI in EX. They probably thought it would just bring them more money to make a game than an online client. Just like how they would rather make a "new" Game for DivineZ than make it just an update for Dear Days lmao.
Me too. Then i saw only 10% off after two years or so and figured out it was probably it, no more than 10% off... Discounted and still costs more than most games on release day lol.
I wish it wasn't just a copy paste from the basic view, the price is gonna be a breaking point for a lot of people but I guess the net positive is if you never bought the DLC in DD1 you can just get it all and buy DD2.
my suggestions on improving the sequel 1. crossplay and include into xbox and playstation 2.transfer all progress from dd1 to dd2, but all pts won't be transferred 3. add rank system, rewards. dsr coins, purchasing dsr cards or other special cards 4. dlc characters are free 5. dlc packs are free but will be locked, to unlock the pack you must play the boss unit of the support included in the locked set to unlock it.(example: if you want to unlock fated clash, you need to win with welstra a certain number of times) 6. add dlc storyline ( i don't want them to screw up their plot, bcos divineZ really cooked) 7. add event stories 8. add more sleeves why am i saying this, they're just too greedy when it comes to dlc pricing. i mean just sell it at original price and put some content unlocked by progression only. it will let players spend more time with the game
Small correction regarding set releases for the TCG, BTZ05 comes out in December 13 and the stride decksets in January 23, but yeah they are purposely displacing regular sets that will come out before DD2 and selling them as DLC, but with that comes another problem, if they just release all of them as Day 1 DLC then its just greed, but if they spreed the release dates for the sets (Like BTZ04 come out Feb 21, BTZ05 August 12, etc) then we ran in the same frickin problem that we had in DD1. As for the new small features they might just be taking notes from duel links and master duel, character expressions could change depending on how many damage you have to accompany the voice lines that do change in DD, similar to what Duel links does depending on how many life points the player has. The deck storage boxes maybe could be seen in your own list of decks like in Master Duel, ditching the banners that only had an image of the VG and its nation. Another thing the worries me is whether or not we will be seeing the missing VG units from the manga collabs: Silhouette, Luruthzul, Leuhan, Zedhlans, Kotihblaze, Stoeirhaja and Vyrgilla. I know TDB is shown in the trailer but we could only get Ladder and the SIR/SEC cards as well as the upgrading FFR from older units. And Bushiroad better release those game promos in the BTZ06 or most likely 07, I do not want another "Structure deck Gramgrace/Favrneel" product.
awww I really thought Dear Days was like forever. Didn't knew they were going to make a Dear Days 2. If that's the cause then there's probably gonna be a 3, and 4, and so on. RIP
honestly I had to stop playing the physical game a while back due to money issues. Recently these games have been my way to get back into a game that I love
Amazing how we're still using an outdated approach to TCG console games. It's common for TCG games back in the day during the Playstation2/GBA/DS era to have a limited roster of cards that'll never get updated if it's not through a whole new game, sequel or not. Even then, those games didn't cost 70$ MSRP! And the only "modern" gaming thing they're exploiting out of this are the DLCs and those aren't cheap either. They can't even give us crossplay for that price, sheesh. You'd think they'd consider changing this approach with things like Master Duel being a genuine competition to every TCG console games now. Also another funny thing is, the price of used physical (Switch) Japanese copies of DearDays 1 without the promo cards have already dropped down to 2000 yen lol. I *almost* got DD1 used but it stopped me because I knew I couldn't play with my friends (who mostly prefer playing on PC/Steam) with the lack of crossplay or discounts. (Until now, yet it's still only 30%, damn.) Glad I didn't bite the bullet lol.
while i would like an actual VG game with just gacha and online (like SV or HS), they've been cutting down on online games/mobile games in general, so in their eyes this is prob much better for them also i wouldnt be surprised theres no crossplay is bc switch servers are just expensive to maintain, so maybe thats why
I’m sad that it looks like they are going with the same pricing model. For some of us (me included) Dear Days is the only way to really play Vanguard since we don’t have friends who play and our areas don’t have any locals. Yes, there are third party things like Untap, but that is more of a work around. Bushiroad could get so many more people into the game if they lowered the price so it isn’t a big game commitment.
If they release the game with all the issues they announced just yet, I’m not even thinking about buying this game. I don’t know what Bushi is thinking, but I’d say not releasing anything at all would be a better decision than open up those wounds again, enraging their own playerbase. I was really hyped about being able to play actual vanguard online, but this was more than disappointing.
Bushi needs to fire whoever's in charge of making these decisions, or hire someone who knows what they're doing. Charging $70 for an outdated game, then drip feeding card packs that are outdated, then releasing a sequel that does the exact same thing... According to steam revenue calculator, they made $1m off of sales for DD1 not including any DLC (I see estimates of $2m with the DLC but I don't know if there's any accurate data for that). Yugioh Master Duel, a free game, that you can play for free, without spending any money, made ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY MILLION DOLLARS in 2022. AND THAT'S JUST THE MOBILE VERSION. Yes, Yugioh is more popular by far. But still. It's obvious that this F2P model works. You just have to design a competent product. Also Master Duel has crossplay. People can play with each other on PS4/PS5, Xbox, Switch, PC, and Mobile.
@@r3zafulI will believe ygo master duel same as DD2 IF when DD2 release, those who buy DD get updated their game version to DD2 for free. If not, DD2 just another scam.
I just hope we don't have to pay another $70 plus $140 in DLC for the same game with new characters and more cards plus re-opening the cards we already own in DD.
Its just so many mistakes they are doing and they just REFUSE to fix it, its so frustrating... I feel if they actually listened then dear days would be something special because I DO want it to thrive but this is just not it right now, and I sadly can't recommend that to my friends, especially for that price and all you get.
the funny thing is they literally learnt nothing from dear days 1 criticism, its literally the same game but a bigger player icon and updated cardbase…
Bushiroad's refusal to listen to their fans and only make money from their products is the reason why the One Piece tcg surpassed it in fan base and tournament exposure outside of Japan in less than 2 years. It's also a big reason I stopped playing Vanguard willingly for the first time since 2013 and switched to One Piece. Vanguard should be the 4th most popular tcg right now, but it's not because Bushiroad doesn't care about their fans, especially those outside of Japan.
Imagine it: If we would get a free game, just like Master Duels, you could even recommend it to your friends that do not play vanguard and motivate them to start with it.
@@Kogamiyep I really liked that decision from what I read you could acess the full story, play online matches but some things were locked behind a paywall like some cards and features
What are they even thinking?... Instead of making a free to play client like MtG Arena, Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel or Pokemon TCG Live, they make a second paid game where you not only pay for the game but also pay extra for the cards. That's insane if they want this to be competitive and at least somewhat popular.
they couldve made the game cheaper and extra cards free. by that. i think people would be interested in playing the game and making them also interested to play physical. srsly, what was bushi thinking when making DD2. updating DD wouldve been a better option
I cannot wait to play Drajeweled Ignis, Youthberk Full Blast, Bastion Accord, Griphogila Vartex, Shiranui, Luard, and all the DivineZ deck especially Blangdmire
I think we did expected this but unsure. I was kinda surprise that they went ahead with a sequal instead of new MC. I agree that energy and extra 4 cards in deck might be too much to update. However, the sets are still not great, I really wish they have collab cards but that will not happen. The dlc per set is kinda expensive for just cards, I hope they add more than just cards, maybe small extra story or update AI opponents characters use newer cards when you install dlc. no crossplay is such a miss that I might just grab the switch version for the promo. Side note: in DD1, the last set D-bt 11 is not even complete set, its lack of some cards.
You should be concern about the price. It might not bother you as a consumer(It should as the game is over priced compared to its competitors) but it will bother others. This will prevent people who want to get into VG from playing while Master Duels and MTG Arena is free.
Bit tempted to buy DD1 as someone who never rly played vanguard yet watched some episodes of the first anime.. Yet by comparison the new one has 2000+ more cards if you dont buy the dlcs.. urg.. If the games had at least a physical switch version.. but they dont have those in europe.. (maybe dd2 will have them, but I highly doubt it - and importing is not worth it)
For what its worth, the 3DS games also didn't change much from game to game, even from the Link Joker/Legion Era to G UI wise. But yeah, DD felt like it was mishandled. If they do update it, I hope its free this time unlike DD1. And yeah, ranked rewards are a must, even if they're just alt-arts/custom foils.
@@akuda226they just needed to make the current format, and when a new format released, make the old format a free mode or event mode for the game and update the game with the new format, it wouldn't be that hard since the new format only makes some changes here and there. Master Duel recently updated their entire UI and adds new animations each month too
@@akuda226 dont justify it. Its managable. Just pay decent programmers and they can put this shit up in like a year. Cardgame simulator is one of the easiest thing to code.
The only thing I'm mad about is when the game company released an incomplete DBT11 to trick players into buying it, then announced a new version with the caption, "Here I am, giving you a damaged copy of the first game, but in its entirety." How dare you do this to your customers? If this was FuRyu's idea, then I'm glad Bushi parted ways with them. It's really bad to be scammed like this.
I think my biggest thing I would love to see is if I’m paying $70 for the game make the DLCs free. Also I would love the idea of a price point that gives you all the packs once they drop. Kinda what smite does with thier champions. Another thing I would love to see is support ranked play with hosted tournaments with cross play I do think you would have a much bigger player base with that in mind. And it would bring more people into the scene that can’t get to locals or stuff like that. Same thing as BCS ass dear days into the mix with the tournaments. You could even add them to the regionals and stuff that you do. Kinda like what pokemon does. But that’s my thoughts.
Are you seriously asking that from a company that reboot their game twice, making staple cards only from promos and even limit the amount of promos you can get, promoting nfts, making questionable overpriced dlc for their expensive game, and shut down their other card game, were you seriously asking for a reasonable stuffs from that kind of company?
@@randx1075it can be said the the 2nd game is only being made because the 1st got enough money made, but it sucks to those who bought most of the dlc for the 1st
I hope the publisher being bushiroad games means management of dlc will be heavily different and cost be reasonable. But would not be surprise if things stay the same
I LOVE dear days, when i saw the idol girl playing this game in the newest show season2 i was wondering if they will bring it back and a new game makes sense yo add the new energy mechanic. So happy about this (even if the dlc are rip offs atleast the base game is fun)
People will always excuse bushiroad and blame it on others. Like they commissioned a game, and slapped a price on it which probably wasnt enough for both to make a profit and the price was bumped further. They sell very expensive merch on their site, why wouldnt a game coming from Bushi be expensive as well?? Anyways rant aside, for someone like me who didnt buy the DLCs this is indeed big value, but it doesnt stop being a shame. I understand the idea is more of having a sequel to a game, more then to catter to competitive players. This ends up being mostly for anime fans i suppose. One big issue is, if not getting the game will make them believe theres no need for new games for a while.... Anyways stop excusing Bushi just because they have one of the best TCGs ever. TCG=/=Company. You can have a good card game, but it wont stop a company from making bad decisions in some aspects. With this i wish everyone happy games and good luck whatever you get the game or not. Myself i am considering it, but i will probably wait till the first wave of DLCs to make a decision ^^'
it sucks that dear days 2 is looking to have much of the same issues as DD1. i never bought it and dont see myself buying this either unless some major changes are made. i wish busiroad would understand that all they need to do is make a yugioh master duel kind of game to pull in new players who don’t have or cant go do locals. i love vanguard, it was a big part of my childhood, but i can’t play the game irl and would love to be able to get back into it through DD2, but it is looking unlikely
In my opinion, they could decrease the price a little bit and only make the DLC to offer specific nations card (like nations pack). At least for people that only main certain clan, they shouldn't buy a DLC just for a single card in a specific package full of other nations card. Oh well, since where I live Vanguard. There barely any way to play Vanguard, I'll buy this anyway.
I think the only thing im glad about with this release is that because I've only just started getting into the card game. Getting this will actually help me play the game. While i slowly and surely get cards physically
Dear days 1 went 11 and festival booster 2023 but took decks from the manga out of set 11 for some reason and gave a promos from set 12 and put it with set 11. I didn't see amazon pre-order for dear days when it first came out.
I honestly would've welcomed Dear Days 2 release if it was being released on all gaming platforms with Crossplay/save and QoL changes. The card game feels fantastic right now and I'm just disappointed how Bushi doesn't seem to care when this could've been an easy win for everybody.
I dont know if it will be possible, but maybe Cygames and Bushiroad Games should collab on making the ideal Vanguard game. Cause i played Shadowverse in Mobile, and im amazed with what im witnessing (Despite the overwhelming meta and Set Rotations). Theres also maybe Unity to make use tbh, but yeah. If Master Duel can't be used an example, then Shadowverse should be a good example.
One thing I've thought about is what if they eventually make a new mechanic because that hasn't been done before, oh wait. Anyways, what if the new mechanic eventually means a dd3. It makes sense to do dd2 because I felt like adding an increase deck size and energy guage probably would take to much adjusting to an already outdated game of dd1 when divinez came out. They need to address some of the main issues now like over priced dlc for card content, not cosmetic stuff and I think adding a feature to at transfer card data over from dd1 would be a reason to try and milk some money from a dead game. Let's be honest. If anyone is planning on playing dd2, then why play dd1 unless you just want to play the few remaining active players. I do understand some people don't have a locals, so them playing makes complete sense.
I see they're adding in Fated Clash and Ilusionless Strife, this makes me wonder if they'll also be adding in the later sets as dlc. I'm sure many fans will want the potential to make their Daiyusha deck. Not going to lie, I also really want to make the Destined One decks.
@@DifferentFight So they'll probably be DLC, awesome! I wonder if they'll have the Shiranui and Luard stride decks as dlc right off the bat or will have them available later considering DD1's update schedule for the others despite them having had been out for awhile before being put in.
I didnt notice the card pool reached the lyrical sparking stars set. they really should of just made a free to play client. make the current format then focus on introducing Premium as a separate format so you can collect the older library.
All the other issues with the first game, no cross play, an overpriced base game, and limited outdated card pool are still there. To me it seems like the only thing that they can fix at this point is how the DLC will work. Because if they handle it the exact same way as they did in dear days 1, with wait times between DLC releases that are waaaaaaaay too long, and have the total cost of a a single expansion pack be the same cost as the entire game, I think we can safely say this game is low key DOA. This also makes me wonder how does the Japan community feel about dear days, because ive really heard all these complaints constantly over here in the west, so for Bushi to completely disregard makes me wonder if becasue the Japanese play base had little complaints then they don’t care about what we think.
I literally bought the game from another country to be able to afford it. I hope they keep regional pricing, it made a 70$ game like 40$. I may buy the 2nd one eventually but i haven't had the inclination to finish the 1st one yet.
So if anything Its like how they did the To series Like lock on victory stride to victory A pree good card pool whule adding the newest idol set and its what I like. Even though dd1 was bad imo for a vanguard experience cuz of low and extremely outdated card pool even with dlc. It still was a fun way for me to enjoy d series as I didnt particulary care for the chars from Akina's and Yuyus story.
Just wanted one thing. Like VG zero, just add new packs free and let players be able to obtain a currency in the game by playing, which they can use later to open packs in game with that, even packs being release later, instead of actually paying for the booster to be avaible in the game.
Honestly, if DD2 is straight up just DD1 with new cards, I'm not getting it. I want improvements. I want a new soundtrack. New animations, cheaper cost, spectating. I think others should have this mindset to show Bushiroad we are not gonna buy whatever they release. MvC Fighting Collection is $50 on Steam. Just saying.
I think I would not have buyed Cardfight Vanguard Dear Days + the DLCs for the boosters if I had not a monthly salary. | I cant really criticize the "you have to start from scratch again", because in all the Yugioh videogames you started from scratch as well. Pokemon did this on the Gameboy and the Duel Masters trilogy on the GBA as well. It has been a thing for all the TCGs that got a videogame.
Im sorry, but dear days 2 is literally the bare minimum. I bought the first game purely just to support the game i like, but it's blatantly obvious they are going down the 2K route. Making the same game, update the players/cards and now they have insanely ridicolous prices + DLC. I truly dont understand why they dont do the master duel route.
I liked Dear Days, it was a good game. The sad thing is I couldn't afford the DLC at the time due to being in uni. Now I can afford it for DD2 but the price is still so insane. I can't recommend it to anyone over teaching them on a free sim myself due to this price. If they wanted to get new players in this is the wrong way to do it. I honestly think this game should be going for $30 because that is the most I am willing to recommend someone spend to learn the game even if it is unrealistic. Hell, $60 would be better than what they are doing. I am going to play this but not being able to recommend it to anyone makes me sad. Honestly my biggest ask is cheaper DLC. In no world should DLC cost more than 50% what the game cost let alone more.
Would love to get the promos in English at least for that price tag 😭 It's really not boding well and they completely screwed over all of us who bought the DLC on Dear Days 1. It's sad because I really enjoy the story and new characters, so I may end up getting it but fingers crossed they listen and respond to everyone's upset 😭

It certainly made the dlc vol 2 pack in deardays one pointless now. Because 2 will probably have all the will+dress booster packs.

Too bad they removed the comment tab at their YT vid, imagine what chaos would happen if they didn't 💀
I just hope they realize how disappointed people are with this game.
Maybe a miracle happens and they think about releasing it this way again.

I play Dear Days 1 almost daily since it released and was crazy enough to get the DLCs just to play and build decks i couldnt play in paper.
Honestly, I’m kind of in the same boat.
I love the game and, despite the issues, it’s a decent simulator.
However, the price is extortionate.
you can literaly buy physical cards and decks for full price of DD1 + DLC's and bling some cards xd
@@janwasilczuk5185 Yeah. That’s how I rationalised things at first lol.
Absolutely,
And, frankly, unless I rope someone in to playing, I’m pretty much in the hoarding category for the Digimon tcg.
But I get where you’re coming from
If the DLCs are a more reasonable price I'd be more okay with it, but it does look like a low effort upgrade of the first game so far
Also I fear that if the pricing model of Dear Days 1 worked insofar as it met their profit target, they have no incentive to change
It definitely does sound like it met their targets, which I also fear will be their logic to just keep doing it
Totally agree this is mess up
And I been saying for years just put DLC in video games so we can unlock the cards but no they want us to buy DLC stuff

Yeah I mention it briefly at the end of the vid, but generally there's excitement for DD2
That being said, the DD1 sale tweet is getting the same reaction as the west, with some people saying "if they're doing this, does that mean we can transfer our data?"
@@DifferentFight Thank you. I think you nail the head on the expectation of this game and a very likely mismatch of expectations. I think Bushiroad isn't trying to get people playing the physical card game to play this, it is to get it out to people who can't do so and hopefully funnel people into the physical game. They're doing the exact same thing, holding vanguard hostage. If you want to play a vanguard D standard game on console you will have to buy this, content creators will buy to make videos on it, fans only have this (fan made simulators aside).
It is what it is, a glorified 140+ € hostage situation
They saw the hostage builds being so popular in the card game that they implemented it in real life :')
Bushi getting me some bandai vibes not ganna lie
Even though this will be behind on card set, I’m still pretty excited cause
1. Furuyu isn’t involved (but still slightly cautious on the practices to see how they handle game especially with support)
I highly doubt it was Furuyu who did the awful decisions of Dear Days, pretty sure as you can see already, that was all Bushiroad
@@symphonixblades I don’t think it was 100% furuyu either but from what I’ve heard and seen majority if not all their games have had something super greedy and scummy about how they do certain projects. (Yes Konami and wizards have had similar issues but at least with their versions of their games were more up to date and updated frequently)
Currently the main problems with the game it seems like it’s gonna be is the No crossplay and set not being fully up to date. Since we don’t know the pricing of the dlc yet I can’t add that in just yet but I feel 60$ now is more reasonable than when Dear days first launched since the card pull is so much bigger.

Dear days is known to not have a ban list. So ghandeeva is actually going to be at full power which is scary.
not really dd did have the inlet magnolia and the bastion dark strain restriction back when it started. for gandeeva the restriction for stirgina is in set 12
Yes but Gandeeva is so far behind the meta at this point that it legitimately would not matter if that was actually the case.
As a guy who only plays Vanguard through Dear Days nowadays. I'm quite excited for this.
They're really pulling an overwatch 2 on us, but they expect us to pay for the whole game and all the dlc's again...

my suggestions on improving the sequel
1. crossplay and include into xbox and playstation
2.transfer all progress from dd1 to dd2, but all pts won't be transferred
3. add rank system, rewards. dsr coins, purchasing dsr cards or other special cards
4. dlc characters are free
5. dlc packs are free but will be locked, to unlock the pack you must play the boss unit of the support included in the locked set to unlock it.(example: if you want to unlock fated clash, you need to win with welstra a certain number of times)
6. add dlc storyline ( i don't want them to screw up their plot, bcos divineZ really cooked)
7. add event stories
8. add more sleeves
why am i saying this, they're just too greedy when it comes to dlc pricing. i mean just sell it at original price and put some content unlocked by progression only. it will let players spend more time with the game
can't wait for thos $100 DLCs bayyyybeeee!
I don't think that's a big problem if dlcs r spread apart from each other
Small correction regarding set releases for the TCG, BTZ05 comes out in December 13 and the stride decksets in January 23, but yeah they are purposely displacing regular sets that will come out before DD2 and selling them as DLC, but with that comes another problem, if they just release all of them as Day 1 DLC then its just greed, but if they spreed the release dates for the sets (Like BTZ04 come out Feb 21, BTZ05 August 12, etc) then we ran in the same frickin problem that we had in DD1.
RIP
Thank God for my modded oled switch. I remember how disgustingly expensive the dlc was. They're not getting a cent from me.
Here's some food for thought: What if the promos are Gramgrace upgrades since Yuki is back and probably a deuteragonist at the least...
honestly I had to stop playing the physical game a while back due to money issues.
(Until now, yet it's still only 30%, damn.) Glad I didn't bite the bullet lol.
while i would like an actual VG game with just gacha and online (like SV or HS), they've been cutting down on online games/mobile games in general, so in their eyes this is prob much better for them
also i wouldnt be surprised theres no crossplay is bc switch servers are just expensive to maintain, so maybe thats why

Imagine it:
If we would get a free game, just like Master Duels, you could even recommend it to your friends that do not play vanguard and motivate them to start with it.
Even the second Rush Duel YGO game in JP had the decency to make it F2P with some option to pay despite being a Switch-only console game.
@@Kogamiyep I really liked that decision from what I read you could acess the full story, play online matches but some things were locked behind a paywall like some cards and features

The missing cards not to bothered about, the price im fine with, the main issue is no crossplay like why
The hell do you mean missing cards and price are not to be bothered about?
@sammydray5919 I'm not to bothered about them.
The price is something to be concerned about given what you get. There's not a lot of content for 70 bucks.
You should be concern about the price. It might not bother you as a consumer(It should as the game is over priced compared to its competitors) but it will bother others. This will prevent people who want to get into VG from playing while Master Duels and MTG Arena is free.
They really need to add spectating and a seasonal ranked ladder
And yeah, ranked rewards are a must, even if they're just alt-arts/custom foils.
.... Can't they do a Master Duel Version of Vanguard? They would gain muuuuuuuch more. Allowing to use Premium, V premium and standard??
thats too hard to code in especially with each format having a different card pool and different mechanics
@@akuda226they just needed to make the current format, and when a new format released, make the old format a free mode or event mode for the game and update the game with the new format, it wouldn't be that hard since the new format only makes some changes here and there.

Bushi really should study what Konami is doing with Master Duel and try to make their Vanguard game to flow in a similar way.
I hope the story mode is at least longer than the OG with actually varying stories as opposed to a slight flip like DD.

Cant believe they gave us that final dlc as a slap to the face only for this to come lol.

I still watch all the og vanguard zero tv show i still miss vanguard zero game on playstore
it sucks that dear days 2 is looking to have much of the same issues as DD1. i never bought it and dont see myself buying this either unless some major changes are made. i wish busiroad would understand that all they need to do is make a yugioh master duel kind of game to pull in new players who don’t have or cant go do locals. i love vanguard, it was a big part of my childhood, but i can’t play the game irl and would love to be able to get back into it through DD2, but it is looking unlikely
Dear Days 2 is gonna be so cool next year
In my opinion, they could decrease the price a little bit and only make the DLC to offer specific nations card (like nations pack).
I came across this because it's finally on sale in u.s.
On one hand I'm excited for more story on the other hand it's full priced and does nothing to introduce new players to the game.
DZ-BT03 is already confirmed, but Destined One sets aren’t in the base card pool
@@DifferentFight So they'll probably be DLC, awesome! I wonder if they'll have the Shiranui and Luard stride decks as dlc right off the bat or will have them available later considering DD1's update schedule for the others despite them having had been out for awhile before being put in.
@@Lancelotzero1 Last night they confirmed that Luard and Shiranui will be part of the base game
I didnt notice the card pool reached the lyrical sparking stars set.
they really should of just made a free to play client. make the current format then focus on introducing Premium as a separate format so you can collect the older library.
Just hoping we can transfer cards like we could with lock on victory to stride to victory
So if anything
Its like how they did the To series
Like lock on victory stride to victory
A pree good card pool whule adding the newest idol set and its what I like.
I'm hoping the OG and Chrono skin will be in base game...
at some point on dd1 finding op was impossible...still no crossplay is crazy
Little upset dear days was not cheap with dlc’s but I am excited because I do like playing vanguard so at least is something
to be honest we need something like master duel because having to pay some much every couple years kinda sucks
Vanguard Dear Days 2 Awesome
They should do seasonal passes/lifetime passes for nations.
I wonder if they will also add "Destined Cards" in the later update. I hope they do.
